After village scenes, there are war scenes, they focus on living in military camps and winning places. There are few scenes scattered of the ML meeting the king, or some banquet scenes, and some scenes in the climax, but its not a lot.

FL's father's original name was Wei Qilin, he was a servant bought by the Wei family, hence the surname Wei. He was trained as an assassin and he then served in army under ML's father. FL's father fell for Meng Lihua who was the daughter of old General Meng Shuyuan who served under ML's father as well.
ML's mother was Wei family daughter, sister of the current Prime Minister Wei.
The two lovers/leads have no such relation, except the fact that FL's father was a servant of ML's mother's natal home, and FL's father and maternal grandfather both served under ML's father in army.
All of them FL's parents and grandfather, ML's parents, uncle, and many other people are all interconnected through the 16 years old incident where ML's father passed away, and FL's parents took on a secret identity with Fan surname. Something happened, but I don't know if you want to know that spoiler, so I am restraining on that.

Yeah I agree. I don't know if they will change it or not in the drama, but this was it in the novel.

He is easily jealous sometimes, leading to hot moments between them. But red flag? NOPE. Controlling? Never. He is always very good to her. Both FL and ML were always into each other, hence at least in the novel there were no bad instances.

I partially agree. Like after he dies, there is no guarantee that his daughters would be protected, so the suicide would be in vain.
But if he didn't die, they all would have been killed together on that day. Its only because He Jingyuan told Wei that he killed FL's parents though he didn't, that Wei now trusts him enough. That is why in today's episode He Jingyuan sends the letter to Wei, that's the evidence, also telling him not to kill the daughters. Wei actually listens, he leaves them, he doesn't send attackers anymore, because the ones who knew are dead, the letter is in his hands, so its a done deal.
So its a risky gamble FL's father did, but he won it.

Wei is the prime minister, ML's mother's brother. Yes it was on his order that a person was sent to kill FL's parents, because they knew a lot about the incident involving ML's father 16 years back, but that person did not kill him, though Wei thought that his people killed FL's parents. It was He Jingyuan, the prefect of the town, shown in today's episode, he was ordered by Prime Minister Wei, but FL's father was his comrade/friend, he could not kill him. FL's parents knew they couldn't survive, hence gave that letter box to He Jingyuan, and died by suicide, asking He Jingyuan to protect his daughters, because they are not involved.

That's Prime Minister Wei's son. ML's cousin. The one who wanted to go against Prince Changxin.
There is another one, who is General He's student, the one who gave lift to FL when she was injured. That's Li Huain An, Grand tutor's grandson.

Shadow Guards are sent by ML's uncle. FL's parents had a letter, which is very important for ML's uncle. In order to retrieve that letter, he sends the guards. But FL doesn't have the letter. In the last scene of ep 9 today, He Jingyuan, the prefect of the town sends a box to ML's uncle, that box contains the letter.
The letter in in relation with what happened 16 years back, it can be considered a piece of evidence against ML's uncle so.

There was a forced kiss after which FL slapped ML, before they separated. After their reunion, when they confessed love, they had a proper kiss. But I don't remember the chapter.

Trust me no one wants. It was done well in the novel. I am just fearing because he is introduced way too early. I maybe wrong, hoping that I am wrong.

There are changes from the novel. So there is something I like and something I have doubts about.

1. The kiss happened too soon, but am I complaining, no, because it felt natural. This is something I like.
2. Li Huai An is introduced very early, making me doubt that his character might have more prominence than the novel. He fell for FL in the novel, but when he fell for her he didn't know she was married. Here he knows she is married, so either he will not fall for her, or unlike the novel where he never created as such problems, here he will. I hope they don't create a love triangle and keep it like the novel. Though in all the scenes he shared with her till now, it didn't seem any attraction.
3. Prime Minister Wei's son is also introduced, and he seems more arrogant than the novel. He is giving me a very negative vibe.

Okay so this is a spoiler free content, just what is shown till ep 9.

ML's name is Xie Zheng. His father was General Xie, who has died in the battle or somehow related to a battle 16 years back, when ML was a young child. His mother suicided. His mother's brother is Prime Minister Wei, who is very powerful, is even feared by the current king. Prime Minister Wei brought up his nephew ML, was very strict with him, but gave him the best tutors to educate him properly.

Prime Minister Wei has a son Wei Xuan, he was shown in ep 9, he is rude and arrogant, and wants to attack Prince Changxin, about whom we don't know till now, but seems as a neighbouring country prince who was defeated by ML. Wei Xuan wants to take control over ML's army and defeat Prince Changxin or probably kill him.

In the palace there are two factions, one headed by Prime Minister Wei. Another is headed by Grand Tutor Lei. His grandson is Li Huai An, also called as Wenkan who is in the town where FL and ML currently are. He was the one who gave lift to FL in his carriage when FL was attacked by a wolf, was also shown in ep 9 helping her from shadow guards. He is investigating FL, tracking her, on the orders of his master He Jing Yuan. Li Huai An also seems to have guessed that FL's husband is Marquis.

He Jing Yuan is the prefect of the town where ML and FL live. He also seems to be a friend of FL's father, who had requested him to look after his daughters after his death.
Prime Minister Wei sends shadow guards to FL's house to find a letter, and to kill the sisters. ML understands that his uncle is looking for a letter, but doesn't know what is in the letter, neither do the audience know. This makes us understand that FL's parents had some secret identity, and have a past with ML's uncle. He Jinhyuan has a box which he sends to ML's uncle.

ML also doubts that it was his uncle that wanted to kill him, because he was investigating his father's death from 16 years back.
The current king had proposed marriage of the princess/his sister with ML previously, but ML had rejected that.

Episodes air at 6 pm China Standard Time. Daylight savings has nothing to do with it. Its around 5:10 pm in China currently, we have to wait for 50 minutes more.

He had spies around FL and SFL. FL's maid was his spy. He was no transmigrator just was very smart and had his ways leading FL to misunderstand that he was a superior being or something.

She explains exactly what happened to her and everyone else in the past life. But instead of a rebirth, she said she feels that might be a dream. But yes she does tell him, and he believes her.
