This is actually a great point. The drama/novel has really powerful villains. They aren't like someone taking rash decisions, doing stuff impulsively! Both Duan and the witch are very calm, think tactfully before doing something!

Nope nothing like that. The voice in the first 2-3 episodes for few people was an issue. But no one cares really now! Maybe either we are used to it, or the show is too enjoyable hence can ignore that. But you can check for yourself!

Did you watch the latest episodes? ML has a son, who is the crown prince. The same actor who played Zhang San/Dan/ML's childhood is casted as his son, the current crown prince as well! Maybe hence the confusion. Father and son is being played by same actor.
Just remember most of the times in ML's childhood he wears black clothes. Zhang San is ML, so ending clips are all of ML. His son on the other hand wears white, has very limited screen time!

Yes it wasn't! Just like females being doctors/detectives were not as accepted practices. Ying saved Prince, she saved FL. If not to the Majesty, she could at least ask FL. FL was never narrow minded, she could have thought of something!
To do an illegal autopsy of a dead person without permission is pathetic. The bodies with blood all over, was so bad to see, imagine the family members of them! He was poisoned in childhood, that lead to the headaches. After today's episode, when he is poisoned again, at least in the novel, it was really serious, he sometimes behaved as a tyrant, for split seconds, had a kind of a different soul! Every platform has different success rates. 9000 crossing in Iqiyi is considered a super hit, and if it crosses 10k its a blockbuster, every year there's hardly one or two dramas that crosses it. Even ADWAD despite its immense popularity crossed 9500 only.
For wetv, its hit to be above 20k, super hit if above 24k, and 30k is a miracle too!

He was just a puppet emperor. He has no power, even if he tries to do something, its not supported! He is tired of even trying. He at that point of time doesn't want to survive as much before FL comes! Also, he really doesn't care, he is alone, he is traumatized by a lot of stuff you will see from ep 10 to 20, they will answer all questions! FL changes things for him, he begins caring for the Empire.
ML had actually told his head eunuch to report to him if any of his concubines are acting weird. If eunuch reported that to him, he would ask to meet her. For me the doctor's case was weirdest because- Firstly I really believe just because all those people were impartial to Ying, that doesn't mean they deserved death. Secondly, yes corpses can be cut to study, but she could ask for permission, she saved prince and FL, FL could have requested on her behalf! How can she illegally do an autopsy of a dead body without the permission of the dead's person's family! That was such a bad scene, there is no respect for the dead body! Ying's master in the palace was such a good man who was never impartial always good to her, he was killed because he wanted to report the truth? Ying knew Pei yu was crazy, still she allowed everything. The fact is she agreed to take any steps to reach her goal, she liked the fact that Pei yu did everything for her!
The fact that FL turned the entire thing in the court into a weird feminism speech- If they were not impartial, they wouldn't have died! What the hell was that? They could have done this case way better. I had no sympathy for either Pei yu or Ying! I was a little relieved when Ying died, I cannot take such a person to save lives anymore! Ambition is great, saving lives definitely but to be an absolute freak for that, oh my God!

Right! Honestly all the cases were weird, saying its the only good case, its not an exaggeration! The one of all the women in the brothel, I felt bad for all the women there, but they all died! Like most of the times, in the cases all the victims are dying so it doesn't even make much sense, like yes people can say justice is served, but there is no one to enjoy that.
But this is the first case, where I am like yes, justice is served. The person who killed them did the right thing. From now the women won't be tortured, the kid and FL's aunt can have a better life! I hope they have good cases like this for the rest two cases, and FL's past case as well!
