It was not quite a developement because same time he encourged and taught his cousin to let his wife suffer for the night. The writing of the characters is very lazy and uni dimensional.

Dropped after watching ep 5. Male character development wise this is going backwards. Writing is lazy af. Looks exactly as a mini drama with a slightly higher budget. Pitty!
Wang Duo carried this drama for me. Very nuanced and well acted character ! I was a bit dissapointed with pearl 's behaviour after ep 35 somehow contradictory in action and words with her role of protection. Also it makes you think : were the main couple really fighting for the world or were in the end selfish too? If a human and a divine artefact could not have insisted to stick together things might have ended differently π Overall a good xianxia!
