It was not quite a developement because same time he encourged and taught his cousin to let his wife suffer for the night. The writing of the characters is very lazy and uni dimensional.

I expect improvements yes. I am not going to waste another 10 episodes for them to realise" oh I can have a honest chat with my wife rather that we trick eachother" . Better dramas out there for me to spend my free time on.
Dropped after watching ep 5. Male character development wise this is going backwards. Writing is lazy af. Looks exactly as a mini drama with a slightly higher budget. Pitty!
Wang Duo carried this drama for me. Very nuanced and well acted character ! I was a bit dissapointed with pearl 's behaviour after ep 35 somehow contradictory in action and words with her role of protection. Also it makes you think : were the main couple really fighting for the world or were in the end selfish too? If a human and a divine artefact could not have insisted to stick together things might have ended differently 😃 Overall a good xianxia!

Perfectly fitted ending. It closed all the topics of the story they started to tell but added some additional layers as to leave a door open for next season.

It was the place of justice served, heroes being formed , good investigation, good humor and so much family warmth. My comfort drama in January. Could some things been done better ? Yes. I personally hated the princess till ep 18 but then she suddenly grew on me. While romance was just a minor part we got real & hot kiss scenes 🔥👌🏻✅️ Shen shu and Gong Yang - two underused good actors & hotties. I would have appreciated more of them. Didi did a great job in this role. Suited him perfectly ! Bottom line, for me first sucess for 2025 : 9/ 10 ❤️ I truly hope they will make a season 2, story got so much potential further.

This drama is far from being even a 7.9 at this point.
