Could they not forget everything Ruling has done so easily ? Of course they could have ππ But besides that the drama delivered exactly what a Xianxia should. They took the usual xianxia tropes and put them into a fresh usage . No other type of drama can offer me the roller coaster of emotions a xianxia does , and on this point this couple delivered everything for me π₯ I could feel their love, their teasing, their suffering, their anger, their lingering, even their rational thoughtsοΌ all...never got tired of their scenes together. The ending ? Better done than expected considering the censorship China has on transmigration dramas. Each encounter is a fated one.
After Untamed, Fangs of Fortune,Love Between Fairy & Devil and Till the end of Moon this couple takes the 5th place in my Xianxia couples ranking π

Episode 2 was again mostly boring... We are still at introduction part even if this whole drama has only 8 episodes. This already gives me the feeling of a ....second season π Production quality has not improved either. The only thing that keeps me from dropping is PHS and his crow eyes/ wings. But can we see more of that per episode at least ?
