After watching 3 Eps, I will follow this one. The plot and pace is not bad so far. For FL, CDL is good in acting.…
She is supposed to look skinny and undernourished. You must have noticed all those scenes where she was starved and beaten. Used worse than a servant. So I believe her looks are quite in keeping with the character she is portraying. Hopefully, her health improves as she stays longer in the capital, however, I believe she's not eating the meals that she is given in that house hold on purpose as they might be poisoned. Haven't you noticed that she took the medicine given to her to her grandmother, and she didn't eat the cakes that her maid gave her? She doesn't trust anyone in that house. So I wonder when she does eat, if at all.
and the break in mijeong's voice when she said "so from now on, dongjin-a, don't leave my side" made me 🥺
Yeah, but he still has to go to te bathroom and to work and everything. No matter how much you love a person, you can’t spend every waking minute by their side. So on that note, I do think the story is impractical. What? Are they going to be joined at the hips from now on?
No I don’t think that was what happened. General Cui was engaged to marry Su Ke. They had grown up together and he was in love with her. For some reason he rescued the Grand Princess during a raid or war or something, andThe Grand Princess fell in love with him.
The King wanted to reward him for his valor in battle by marrying him to the Grand Princess, but he declined saying he was already engaged. Knowing how powerful the Grand Princess is, I suspect that she intervened in the engagement between Su Ke and General Cui Xi, forcing the general to marry her against his will. Su Ke then married Lord Jiang, and to all intents and purposes, they had a very loving and congenial marriage. They gave birth to three kids.
Grand Princess couldn’t get over the fact that her husband, who never loved her, still pined over his first love or childhood sweetheart, and she came to the conclusion, based on a rumor, that her husband and Su Ke were having an affair. Didn’t bother to fact check to see if it is true. Then got mad and made arrangements to poison Su Ke AFTER her child was born NOT while Su Ke was still pregnant. The poisoning appears to have taken place a few weeks after Si was born as we are shown that Su Ke died in her husband’s arms She obviously wasn’t pregnant by then. I also suspect that theGeneral’s love for Su Ke was one-sided, otherwise, she would not have been so deeply in love with her husband.
i guess she knows if they come close to her they will die but i think she didn’t really know the conditions…
This isn't about knowing the conditions, it's about reaching out and helping and being more proactive. I couldn't get over how she just stood there and watched as the boy on the bike got electrified. If she had pulled him away, would that electric cord still strike at him? How about vocalizing to folks that "I'm dangerous don't talk to me or come near me? "
Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I don't care for the FL acting like a scared mouse and majoring in conflict avoidance, when she could do a lot more to face the problem head on like the ML was doing. She could have visited a shaman to ask what the h*ll was wrong with her and why she has such bad karma. But I guess the writers wanted a scientific answer to a supernatural problem and didn't bother exploring that route. Which makes the writing weak and one dimensional as far as I'm concerned. The acting is what elevates this drama for me because the repetitive scenes are enough to throw off the average viewer.
It hurt my heart when Lee Dong Jin cried out of frustration that Mi Jeong’s love was wasted on the wrong man. Dong Jin would have KILLED for an opportunity which the other guy just chucked away. The boy is obsessed. He’s courting death even though he’s been warned several times by concerned parties. Hope the drama doesn’t end in a tragedy- him paying the ultimate sacrifice just so she can live a life of freedom.
So the difference between the fate of the guys depends on whether or not Mi Jeong welcomes the attention or confession. If the attention is unwelcome, the man is injured or killed. If the attention/confession is welcome, the guy lives. So that evil spirit is just trying to protect her. The conclusion doesn’t surprise me, because it hasn’t escaped my notice that Mi Jeong is pretty passive when those men are hurt or killed. Like she doesn’t try to get them out of harms way or physically restrain them. She just stands there passively in dread knowing that they will be hurt or killed. So in essence, she made herself a victim, where she could have more actively and aggressively prevent the harm from occurring.
And if anyone asks how she could prevent it - she knows that when guys confess they will get hurt. Simply reminding them of the fact that’ I’m a witch, if you come close to me you die’ in an aggressive warning tone can serve as a deterrent or warning preventing future occurrences from happening. Hiding or running away doesn’t really solve the problem.
I don't know about you guys but I believe the reason the FL got married was because they threatened his life.…
In the beginning, that was my suspicion as well. But since she’s been married, FL acts so stupid with ML’s security, that I really doubt she was trying to protect him. Otherwise, her actions since she got married would have been more protective. She wouldn’t flirt with him so blatantly in the presence of her husband and family, nor would she carelessly place the phone he gave her where anyone could pick it up. And she would have tried to warn him that he wasn’t safe.
I mean you can contrast her behavior with FL in When The Phone Rings and you’ll understand how a woman behaves when she’s trying to protect a secret or a person.
That was definitely a warning if not a murder attempt. I also don't understand why people forget that.

It got to a point where, if the FL in the end won't cut her connection with the ML after leaving him hanging,…
Great point. Her stupidity knows no bounds, so I can’t like her. Spoilt brat is an apt description. Who calls their ex boyfriend with their husband’s phone? Who leaves a phone giving to you by the ex in the open where anyone can pick it up. Didn’t even bother to hide it underneath a pillow or something. She thinks she’s smart but she acts dumb.
ep 16 //What a shame a potentially interesting story keeps getting bogged down by strange directorial/editing…
Yeah, boggles the mind that he just left her alone for months without checking up on her. I know he has to work but.... couldn't he take his wife with him? Or at least put people around her to inform him of her well being.?
FL should get a grip. And ML too! Dude you are kidding and making out with a newly married woman! FL wants to eat her cake and have it too! I honestly can’t blame the husband for being mad. At least on his part, he entered the marriage in good faith and doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. ML should move on. There are many other fishes in the sea. I can’t get behind their adulterous pairing.
Omg, Lu Chu Chu had a PLATE in the wilderness to put a fish into for JZ.The drama is full of similar, totally…
I wondered where the plate came from. And this begs the question, if she could have a plate in the wilderness, why not chopsticks as well? They are easier to carry than a plate.
I'm on episode 3 and debating whether to continue watching this somewhat dark, heavy kdrama. I got interested in the drama because of Park Hyung Sik and I think he's portraying his most complex character til date. But I have doubts about my desire to continue because I absolutely cannot stand the female lead.
I understand her motivation for dumping Dong Ju and marrying into the Prosecutor's family. Whether it is greed, leverage, family expectations and loyalty or whatever. The decision is fine with me. What I can't understand is why she didn't bother to break it up with her boyfriend when she knew she was getting married the following afternoon. She even has sex with him! Doesn't bother to break up with him or tell him. And let him find out in that atrocious way! A text timed just as she was about to walk down the aisle! Tsk tsk. I can't believe she loves him after she pulls that stunt. Maybe she loves what he does for her, how he makes her feel, but she doesn't show genuine concern about Dong Ju's welfare, otherwise she would have behaved differently. In relationships there is the giver and the taker - it appears that in theirs Seo Dong Ju did all the giving and Eun nam all the taking.
Can I bother to call her selfish? In the sense that she only sees things from her perspective and not someone else's?
