Did anyone else think it was extremely childish or self-entitled for BCF to get into SMZ's face and be like "I'm…
I agree with you. BCF has no rights at all. Since when does a guest dictate to the house owner how to run his business? I’m so pissed off! He should be kicked out before he can cause even more trouble.

I think he would have gone bad irrespective of the girl. The warning signs are already there. He is not a righteous…
Spot on. I was pissed off with him for doing that. First he waits until WXS cripples the man, then he kills Guan Qi, stabbing the female assassin in the process. He was basically taking the credit for WXS hard work. If he was going to kill GQ, then he should have done the work of subduing him. That was when I realized he was greedy and had very low ethics. But I also blame Su Meng Zhen for befriending and promoting Bai Chou Fei too quickly. He never really earned his stripes, which makes him too impatient for more. I noticed that WXS never asked for a title and is content just being a nominal member of the House. But then, although they are friends, they are two very different men.

So well put!I agree with what you 100% said! For rewatch value, I would just rewatch the last 2 episodes. I think…
Yes, that’s right!

I loved the way the drama ended. So deeply satisfying, but I ended up wanting more. I plan to rewatch the last two episodes after giving some time for me to fully digest it. I was hooked on this drama from the get go, something about it made me feel that it was special, and how right I was! It kept improving with each successive episode. I will miss the couples and the Yeom family, but I’m satisfied that we left them in a good place. Gu and Mi Jung reunited and happily in love, Ki Jung learning contentment in her relationship, Papa Yeom with his new wife and Chang Hee in his new career as a funeral director, which apparently, he has a calling for. Adios my dears! I’m left bereft as always when I finish a first class drama not knowing what to do with myself.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
Same! I really liked his character and empathised with his struggle to be good even under the pressure from his…
I agree. Actually, if you take the merman out of the plot, their story alone is enough to base a solid romance story on. And I believe it’s more organic. To be fair I wasn’t really convinced that she loved the merman until the last few episodes of Part 1, just before she threw him down the cliff. And in part two, I found myself wishing that she could just fall in love with her shifu and forget about the merman completely. That’s how compelling and convincing the second lead’s journey was. But then the drama wouldn’t be The Blue Whisper, would it? I believe this is one C-drama where everyone brought their A-game. Stellar acting chops to everyone including the supporting characters. I’ve never loved, cried and cared for even the most minor character as I did in this drama, and that is testament to a great production: acting, editing, cinematography, story, OST, directing - all worked together to produce a great product.

Teacher- student , adopted child - real child relationship are very common in Chinese drama. Right now I'm okay…
If it helps, they are not really romantic - at least, not from his side.

Title The Blue Whisper: Part 2 Spoiler
I have a serious case of second lead syndrome from a character I used to despise to one I grew to love. - Lin Hao Qing - Wished his ending could have been happier, but on the whole I’m satisfied that he didn’t die and is living out the rest of his days content and counting his blessings. One would call it poetic justice for the part he played in cutting off the merman’s tail although events showed he was forced to do it. I still hate his dad though. Lin Hai Qing proved that he didn’t need to be a monster to hold onto his position.

Some of the best marriage proposals are the spontaneous ones. The nondescript matter of fact proposals that just come from a feeling of rightness, the feeling that you want to spend forever with this person at your side. My Liberation Notes captures this essence perfectly. Chang Hee’s proposal as he watched his mother’s casket burn, and Ki Gyeong’s spontaneous proposals are stuff of dreams, and mirrors every day life. ‘This person has seen me at my worst and most vulnerable, but loves me anyway.’ Their mothers’ death became a catalyst for a wish for change in their lives. I always cringe when I watch C-drama and K-drama proposals, with myriad of flowers, champagne and a crowd of cheering witnesses - those mostly strike me as false, they are selling the fantasy. While personally, my preferences applaud quiet everyday proposals like the one between Yang Yang and Diliraba in You Are My Glory. They were just walking and talking, and then he proposed. I gushed. ‘How real!’ In any case, I hope all the siblings get their HEA by the end of the series. Fingers crossed.

This did not sit well with me also..How the affair with the office worker was handled.
I wish MJ had outed the girl in front of their group of friends. The rumors alone would have caused him to quit. MJ is just way too nice a person.

I love the effortlessly easy conversation between MJ and Mr. Gu. They just carried on as if they never broke up, as if they weren’t separated for a long time. They’re just so happy to see each other. The best friendships! I guess it’s because they built their relationship on a foundation of total honesty and realistic (in translation ‘no’) expectations.

Also, wasn't he hemiplegic or something? what happened there?
A stroke, I think. Probably caused by internalized stress. My mom went through something similar. So I can relate.

my guess is the alcohol dependency but also what seems to be lack of sleep/insomnia + malnutrition, all of which…
I know right? Even Mr. Gu saw that as weird. I hope the wife beats that baby daddy up.

Plot twist. Mr Gu gets liver cancer from his constant drinking. And goes to MJ to take care of him. There’s only so much alcoholic a body can take before it breaks down. And Mr. Gu is a functioning alcoholic. Did you all see him shaking when he was waiting for the Chairman at the beginning of Ep. 13?

If mijeong nd goo ends up together writer nim better give us an acceptable reason
They have to. I find myself unreasonably angry with Gu for staying away from Mijung for so long. He knows he needs her, and that she needs him. If he hadn’t thrown away his phone and still allowed her to call him occasionally, he would have known about her mom, and the poor girl and her family, would have had his support when her mom passed. As there was no way he wouldn’t have shown up for that. Now, the poor girl had to go through that alone.(Ends rant).

Maybe he didn't cheat, maybe he just got married too soon for the grieving kids to accept their father's decision.…
I agree, and also it looked like he recovered from a stroke. If you notice his bent hand and his demeanor, looks like a stroke recovery patient. It’s also significant that he turned he and his late wife’s bedroom into a storage room. He must have really loved her. Seems the new wife is content with the arrangement.

The time jumps are confusing the heck out of me. I trust that the production knows what they are doing.

What a sad episode! I honestly was not expecting the drama to go the direction it did. Always thought that the father would pass away long before his wife did, since he was always so tense and taciturn. And for him to marry again not long after her death - I’m sure there’s a story there. What guts me is the realization that she passed away saddened by Mr. Gu and her daughter’s broken relationship. So sad!
