Love the Shen brothers relationship. One of the few healthy familial relationship in this drama in which the brothers love, support and root for each other and respect each other’s life decisions. It’s a shame the drama didn’t fully flesh out their backgrounds. They are half brothers, I believe. I recall Shen Yan’s father say that he is the son of a concubine. What a contrast from Liu Ling’s relationship with her half sister.
I honestly don’t understand why Prince Guangping was crying. Does he or does he not love his daughter? Why didn’t he do anything for Liu Ling when she was starved and locked in the woodshed for days? And he only showed interest in his daughter to use her as a bargaining chip for Yigi, so what was the point of his tears? Sorrow after cheating on his wife and causing her to be murdered or to kill herself? Smh
Mr Gu and Mi Jung’s chemistry is literally on fire. You can start a forest fire from their embers alone, lol. Even before she made that proposition to Mr. Gu you could feel their attraction and interest in each other from their stares, though neither of them crossed a line. Hoping the writers don’t waste the opportunity for an intense romantic relationship between them. The way ep 2 ended makes me impatient for the next episode. And…Mr. Gu is really hot btw.
that's how i felt as well. her speech was also contradictory because at one point she acted like it was the girl's…
True. Sometimes strangers are easier to confide in, relate to and empathize with than people who are close to you. Because there’s no emotional baggage when dealing with them.
This series so far is pretty good. This is an episodic drama just like Taxi Driver but deals more with the touchy…
Lee Soo Kyuk is sex on a stick. The man is so hot he had me drooling. He really is mesmerizing and even though he isn’t the male lead, I couldn’t take my eyes off him. I wonder if he’ll become Goo Ryan’s love interest?
I don’t know why Ha Kyung’s mama isn’t focusing on her unni’s love life and is pouring all her effort into Ha Kyung. Does Tae Kyung not deserve happiness because she’s a divorcée? At this rate it looks like the Unni will get remarried before Ha Kyung has a stable relationship.
Drama poses some interesting questions through 4 couples. With main couple, the ML is not ready to marry and the…
Thumbs up for your comment. The worst is, the hubby doesn’t want to work, doesn’t want to study, and can’t pick up his kids from his mother?! Good grief, why all these kdrama mothers in law feel like men can’t take care of their own kids? Why bother a working mother?, and now she’s the breadwinner too! She’s not a super woman! I agree, someone should really beat him up!
Defended the pregnant colleague? I'm pretty sure she didn't. She was just hell scare by the futur her colleague…
Too true. Girl doesn’t take responsibility for her actions. She’s always running away. Maybe she’s scared she’ll become the type of mom who always blames her child for her troubles and she wants to avoid that.
I know that senior forecaster is a bit clueless when it comes to relationships with others, but he really thought…
That’s why his colleagues didn’t want him to know. The man has absolutely no tact. None at all. How would he feel if one of his colleagues were to announce his divorce loudly in a room full of people? Smh.
At first I was feeling bad for her too... But the next thing she does is that she calls some other guy and agrees…
I actually admire what she did. That she called someone who could mend her broken heart. We don’t know who Chris is to her btw. He could be a friend, an acquaintance or a potential love interest. It doesn’t mean she didn’t get her heart broken. Anyway, it is far better to seek love elsewhere and find closure, than to stick around being a nuisance to our new couple; or being the recipient of some hospital gossip since she was rejected so openly.
Actually speaking, Gu Wei has told her subtly many times that she is just his colleague at work and tried to draw…
Hmmm I agree that he was giving her subtle cues, and I won’t say that she didn’t understand, because she did. However, for some people an open rejection is really what they need to move on from someone or something in their lives that they hold dear. And Gu Wei, gentleman that he is, failed to give her that closure. These are matters of the heart and hopes that she had held dear for several years. In this case, subtle doesn’t cut it. She needed to hear it said to her face. Kind of like when a woman strongly suspects that her lover is cheating, but will only confront the truth when it is said to her face. I sympathize with this character, because if the same story is told from another perspective, she’d be the suffering hero who rearranged everything in her life to accommodate a man and Zhixiao would be the interloper. However, you can never force anyone to love you. I admire that she bowed out gracefully instead of sticking around hoping he would change his mind as many Cdrama second female leads tend to do.
Poor Dr. Gao, I don’t know when I changed from massively disliking her to feeling sorry for her. In her defense, she probably saw them as a couple since everyone, including their parents, were hoping she would marry Gu Wei. The conversation they had in episode 16 was long overdue and probably one that should have happened ages ago. It’s not easy to be rejected, and the actress played that scene very well. Hopefully, she finds love with someone who truly loves her. Here’s wishing her all happiness in life. Although she was shrewish, she was never really vindictive or hurtful. I’ve seen many a scorned second lead female do a lot worse than she has done.
Honestly, I find that the most irritating characters in the drama are SanSan and Gu Wei’s cousin. Like… why are they even in this drama?! I find myself just fast forwarding their scenes. I mean, I understand the motivations behind Dr. Gao and Shao Jiang even though they are not likable characters; that their driving force is to get the male and female lead. But I don’t get the purpose of the secondary couple whose main use is to unnecessarily extend the plot by meaningless meet-ups in bars and flirting. They are not even captivating actors. Even their meddling is quite useless and disadvantageous. The drama and plot would have been better served if they cut off all their scenes.
the writer is too rude to um's wife. she tries to make um victim but he isn't. being a good person doesn't mean…
Let's just say he's a good person, but a shitty husband and a shitty father. Still, the wife should not try to come between a man and his kid. She should let her daughter build a relationship with her dad. But her attitude is, "I'm the one that has been doing all the work raising this child, now that she is old, you want to steal all the glory". I understand her pain and frustration, but if she's not careful she may end up alienating her daughter. On the flip side, if she allows her daughter to build a relationship with her dad, her daughter will find out for herself how inconsistent her father is.
