This show was morally dubious. I think I would like the ending more if Great and Tyme didn't get such a happy ending. Yes, Tyme's grandma is dead and Great's brother is dead... but the finale they look so happy. I feel like it kind of negates the gray-morality of this show. I definitely don't agree that Great is a great (lol) person. He hit and ran an innocent woman then disposed of a dead body knowing the killer could get away.
Great was placed in some unfair situations, and his birth itself was unfair. He got bad parents. His heart is in the right place, but morally he is probably closer to average. I agree with Ton Kla that Great is a coward (in the original and REAL timeline). At least I think he said that.. I don't think I'm imagining that scene. Great made some bad decisions, and I believe he should face the consequences. Many people in his situation probably would have done similar, but it doesn't make it a good decision. At least he turned himself in for Dome's murder.
Generally, this show makes you think. I think it should be applauded for having continuity in its timeline and story while still being entertaining. BeOnCloud did a great job, and I believe this is a jumping off point for more shows like this.. Yes, MaxTul and KinnPorsche did it first.. but this is the BEST one. This is the one that should be copied.
The 4-person dorm was probably the viable option for them as 16/17 year olds. JT couldn't find it in his heart…
I understand the story. My past isn't nearly as rough as Jiang Tian's, but my dad lives with his gf and I deliberately choose not to live there (moved out). I've also done a two person dorm (not 4, I would never lmao). And I get that it's better in comparison, but I wouldn't consider a dorm a "home" with how introverted I am. I feel suffocated with just one other person. I am speaking from a personal perspective, but I am also joking a little bit. I understand Jiang Tian's perspective.
I love this show but why in the hell would you choose a 4-person dorm as your "home"? 😂😂
They really tricked me. Had me thinking Sheng Wang and Jiang Tian would share a room together alone.. Anyways, loving the pace. Hope it stays this way.
I don't think there should be a confession and kiss already. The plot felt mediocre but it was just starting to feel special. I could feel the build up like the investors cancel but they still break through and Sea has to fight himself with all the pressure.. but you ruined it with a kiss scene and a confession. More build up would've been more satisfying.. Like they complete the concert successfully then they kiss.. something like this. This is not right. Someone please help this show.
I will say that I definitely enjoy this more than I enjoyed KinnPorsche. I am happy to see this genre in BL even if it's not my typical genre just for the variety. It is nice to watch something like this sometimes. I will say thatmy favorite episode so far is episode 5 for sure.
But that spinoff was such a tease! It made me want more. Taishin is a little puppy and his excitement entertains me so much. We getting another spinoff? 👀👀
This is your first completed JBL because you tried a couple and didn't finish or you are not a fan of JBL? Anyways,…
I love Sugar Dog Life so far. What series we like are subjective. This series for me caused some stress but to you it may be conflictless.. yes. The conflicts are solved fast but the reasoning for the conflicts.. Lmao.
But if you want sweet JBLs, I definitely recommend all the cooking and food related ones. I'm not a fan of the cooking genre alone.. but I am a fan of how wholesome most of the shows all are.
Def try Old Fashion Cupcake and Bokura no Shokutaku (Our Dining Table).
Not food related but wholesome couple: Takara no Vidro (Takara's Treasure), Kare no Iru Seikatsu (Living With Him), and Sahara Sensei to Toki-kun (Mr. Sahara and Toki-kun).
Oh.. And Cherry Magic or the long title on here is... "30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii." But just search Cherry Magic lol. That is probably the most popular JBL of all time. It may not be in my Top 5 JBLs, maybe not even Top 10, but it is objectively a great series and sweet and wholesome couple.
Benjamin Tsang is the new world phenomenon. I am convinced that after this, he will blow up!! Everyone let's support the cast and production!! Please ask for Season 2!!!
but did he really prevent it though because I did not see them lock any doors XD
I mean Yo figuring out their realtionship from seeing them rather than them having a conversation. Because Ing has known about them from the beginning where Yo has been left out.
Started off okay but during the run of the show I progressively lost interest. hated how Mamiya crossed boundaries…
Exactly.. the chemistry is not very good. It's like they added lots of kissing and physical intimacy scenes to build the idea of their couple.. but I just didn't feel it. I think there needed to be more build-up. The pace is a big problem.
I agree with the boundaries as well but Toma is so obsessed with Mamiya that it seems he lets everything slide. Without this, their conflicts would not end easily. Nastume really found someone who can tolerate him because by reading the comments.. it seems many in the audience could barely tolerate him.
Watch this while waiting for next episode of Sugar Dog Life. Rare to do so as there are tendency to direct comparing…
This is your first completed JBL because you tried a couple and didn't finish or you are not a fan of JBL? Anyways, I am not a fan of this couple.. but yes,. Harukawa is very cute and looks great in a yukata. I would like to see him a lot more.
Why the hell are these two so addicted to work... Is this Japanese culture or are these two just crazy? I like how devoted Toma is to Natsume but at the same time.. I don't feel it. It was explained numerous times why he likes him.. yet, I don't really feel anything for this couple. It was just a show about how Nastume-san loves work and is absolutely neurotic. He seems great as a boss/coworker/mentor.. but as a lover... please save me now! I could not handle him at all. You can have him Toma.
This show shocked me. It took me a lot of places emotionally. A strong finale. Overall, I find myself really liking Taishin and Takara as stand-alone people. I rarely feel this in a BL show, but if I knew either in real life, I find I would quite like both of them. They both in my opinion are level-headed. Taishin can seem chaotic at times, but I feel he deeply considers his every action and when he does something, he means it. Same with Takara, minus the chaotic part lol. They don't act in vain, and I appreciate their ability to be honest with themselves. Honestly, this is my favorite type of person.
I think this was certainly an interesting and enjoyable watch. The episodes one week at a time.. some things may be frustrating. There are some interesting plot choices as well. But this show as a package.. yes, I recommend this a lot.
SOTUS is one of my faves. Tbf I haven't seen it in a while. The On1y One has my air conditioner is broken but room is flooded.. Thanks for making a comeback trope 😂😂
I love my handsome man show. Putter has redefined what "handsome" means. And this show is so good.. all couples have good chemistry.
Also, it finally seems that Ai's dreams are getting better unless they just tricked me for one episode. This time he prevented his dream days in advance! Sat down and had a conversation with Yo to prevent that situation. Please tell me he is learning and that this is development and not a fluke!
But I am super loving this show. Definitely one of those shows I randomly decided to watch that paid off! I am so happy with it. The fact it's on ep 8/12 and I'm still loving it this much.. yeah, I picked right to watch this.
Yes. I saw this as well. I believe it is real and at this pace.. there will definitely be a season 2. The show…
They are so blind if they think these actors are ugly.. And also, good acting is better than being the #1 handsome in the room. I seriously cannot see anyone but Benjamin Tsang as Jiang Tian and he is more handsome to me every day!
