This is my 2nd Kdrama I have watched and I loved it. The ML Lee Kang Doo is a type of character/ML that I like.…
Thank you. I avoid Male CEO dramas too. It seems patronizing how someone so rich has so called problems. How is the romance, is there a lot of romance? I am mostly watching for romance
I didn't care for the politics but I enjoy stories that make a mockery of human arrogance and hypocrisy: 'Scholars look down on those who do business as illiterate but still look to them to pay their bills.' It was a fun ride. It applies to the present. People look down on those who chase profits but still go to them for financial assistance. Baby Zhang was my favorite actress from Delicious Romance and I wanted her in a role where the actress could do more instead of just being a pretty face and she shined her. Of course, I am a sucker for stories where the female lead beats up the male lead be it physically or mentally, so take my recommendation at your own peril lol
Hahaha, I thought I was the only one who isn't a fan of high school dramas. I don't get the obsession with the nostalgia of high school. I was broke and stupid lol
She is a prosecutor so hopefully, she gets her chance to shine but I usually avoid dramas with big male stars since the female lead usually gets overshadowed. Again My Life was much better than this in terms of the female characters. All the female leads got a backstory that I could not even guess who the male lead would end up with.
This drama is turning to your classic Korean drama that initially paints the super-rich as evil but ends up being sympathetic to the same evil super-rich. The cynic in me sees it as great propaganda by the super-rich who finance these dramas
I am not trying to slap away criticism of her acting because that wasnt the point. The comment pointed out specifically that the story does not need a female lead. These type of comments are aplenty. It was not criticizing the romance as not good enough
I do agree that the female lead is poorly written but sadly it is fateful to the novel.
I got attacked on here for pointing out that we have yet another drama(not this drama) with no female lead. It is usually common in Japanese dramas, female characters are usually relegated to guest roles even if they are billed as stars. They do deserve better but thats not what the original comment is arguing about.
Its the same with romance with single parents. Lots of single dads but hardly any single moms, when you finally get one the child is invisible eg Romance is a Bonus Book. That was very disappointing
People think sexist men are the bane of women I think its misogynistic women that are the bane of women. It is ridiculous how they complain whenever a female character is next to their male celebrity crush. Its pathetic.
Given how the female lead has so little screentime. Their complaints make no sense.
Lol Guo Jing is supposed to be stupid and naive. It is why I prefer the sequel
I understand very well. Wuxia series like this usually take a stretch with the misunderstandings so this is part and parcel of the genre And this story is from the 1960s, so it is a bit dated. It defined the genre and that includes all the flaws. I think the female lead is the real main character of this story though. The author wrote the novel's female lead about his first love who was not his wife
This is based off a manga…. You took it the wrong way. You can also look at it as showing that there is a problem…
I don't have an issue with this story. I just prefer stories about single moms over single dads. It is a personal preference. I just find it hard to locate a good single-mom romance story since the child is always invisible
Have you watched Mad for Each Other? I think they did a pretty good job there with the therapist and exploring…
Yes, they need. The female therapist was actually competent and it was not a love cures depression story which was nice.
Thanks for the recommendations.
I recommend MeToo Flower. It's older. I also feel sad that an actor from it committed suicide. It seems hard to watch a Korean with a cast member that isn't dead from suicide.
Instead of complaining you should just do your own research instead of writing on a drama that you are not even…
I am not complaining. I read the synopsis and thought the veteran nurse was female. I am not the target audience. I never criticized the drama. It is different from what I expected since I read the synopsis from a website with no pictures. There is nothing wrong in pointing out that the drama differs from what I expected. My comment is neutral. You seem to be the one with the problem, you want someone only to say something positive about the drama. Even a neutral statement is not enough for you. Your intolerance is pathetic
I thought the veteran nurse was going to be female. I think it would have been an interesting dynamic to have a female mentor and male mentee in a non romantic setting
lmaoo there are A LOT with a female leads its not like every single drama has to have a female lead they can be…
Sorry, but you did. Using 'lmao' does not make it any less of an insult and personal attack. I said 'another'. I did not say 'All Japanese dramas do not have female leads'.
My post was vague yes, you could have asked for clarification. It was not generalizing Japanese dramas.
Anyways, it doesn't matter what your intent is, what matters is how the object of your words perceives it and it was an insult. There is a clear difference between you and the other reply. My responses were different too.
Your comment is just one incorrect assumption after another
Doesn't matter either way. Your way of communicating is abrasive and condescending. You would do yourself a favor by changing that. Over and out.
Besides, even if I was actually generalizing. You could correct me without being rude
lmaoo there are A LOT with a female leads its not like every single drama has to have a female lead they can be…
You did not need to insult me because my tastes differ from yours. How narrow-minded can you be? Besides, I did not say Japanese dramas were bad. Given your snobbish attitude. I am pretty sure I have watched more Japanese dramas than you have. What a joke lol
Seriously? If it is something Japan has it is story’s with female lead! For this season we got Mai agare, First…
I just watched Unsung Cinderella. I am a big Okada Masaki fan but lets not pretend that Nanao wont get overshadowed in this. I guess not everything can be like Itou A to E. As a male drama fan, I learnt from my female predecessors that dramas are not about plot but eye candy. If the male characters outnumber the females then there is no eye candy for me :P

I personally enjoy such stories as a male

They have a real mental health crisis

According to your standard, every male lead is a rapist.
The double standard is laughable haha
China has a huge gender disparity issue because parents abort kids that were female or were forced to send them overseas for adoptions.
There are many documentaries about it
My college roommate was from China so I got to know it too.

I provided sources to prove my points.
I do know that if you use tags female CEO dramas are rare.
It is a lot easier to find male CEO dramas at least with tags.
I have actively searched for female CEO dramas and they are rare
Run On 2020 had a CEO female lead but she was the second lead
Begin Again had a female CEO but those are rare
