Mine was Innocent Man, I watched it in 2012. I wont watch anything like that today but I do rewatch it.

I recently got addicted to Tokyo Love Story 2020. Hypocrite characters are fun.

Its a decade old. It cannot compete with newer dramas with high production values but given that I watched it in 2012, I rated it very highly

I think the whole point of a drama is to entertain and this was entertaining.
It was also one of the first Korean dramas I watched back in 2012 just after it aired.
So novelty played a part in me rating it 9.5.

Dramas are sometimes too focused on making the male lead look cool.
In a ridiculous story like Doctor X it might work but it does not work in every type of drama
Besides, we see male leads looking cool all the time, it gets old.

Villains/Villainesses without backstories are boring.
That killed the drama. The villains/villainesses were all one dimensional

This is like the US TV series Pushing Daisies. I am just happy to see a story where the female lead is the one with the supernatural ability and hopefully, it does not turn out like Pinnochio where it is a disadvantage to her lol

True, I hold my hands up and admit it.
As a guy, I also admit that I can never fathom how a woman who got raped would feel.
Empathy is harder than we realize. I met a rape survivor who gave a speech at my colllege, took pictures and was all smiles but years later after learning more, I discovered that I really do not understand what she went through.
Empathy is very hard. I cannot stress this hard enough.
I think if you can forgive Mikami as he tried to change, it should be easier to forgive Naoko but we have been conditioned to see women as homewreckers when it takes too..
I believe we have to take a deliberate and even forced effort to go against such conditioning.
I always sympathize with homewreckers because there is always another side.
Just the way Mikami's family was horrible and made him into a horrible person.
Naoko's family was just as bad. I didnt watch a lot of her scenes but she broke down and cried in the middle of the road

You are contradicting yourself.
The directors will not go to jail if they made something like this about a male adult and a female minor played by two adults.
They are too many movies like that.
Lolita the most common example.
Teacher-student relationship is the most common, with a male teacher and a female student.
I provided an actual R rated movie with a minor actress.
Such stories are not my cup of tea but you can easily find them if you want.
