Qi ming n qianqian, sorry I'm unable to watch their scenes. I can watch both individual scenes, but them together with direction emphasizing deliberately to sell the hot part is totally lost on me 😑. Writing could and should have been better for both qi min and qian qian, than lazily giving just hot scenes while everyone knows he is an abuser and she's a victim!

It's done now, we cannot do anything but fingers crossed we don't get such scenes again, at least not so much explicit ones, in future. Same darkness of qi min can be shown in many other ways 🙃
Epi 20 and 21 were too dark for me. Hope we don't get to see such scenes again, poor baoer and his mother. These two episodes were mostly showing how cruel qi min can be. Thankfully by next episode, changning will be saved. Poor baoer will then lose the only shining light for now 😭

I did feel it had many filler scenes myself, but it was still cute and entertaining. So didnt mind much. Like you said, literally each secondary character had their own arc. Even Kang granny. It was genuinely heartbreaking when she died...
Though I liked previous episodes, still I did felt that it was sweet for too long, many filler scenes etc 😅. Now I know why they gave so much time in that village, epi 18 n 19 wouldn't have hit so much if they hadnt given such a good buildup. Even zheng n changyu, compared to the novel, their characters are more humane and their love story has a very good foundation. Good writing, fantastic direction and actors are all slaying. Not one disappointed me, not even the villains. This show is going to be the best show of this year, haters can do what they want.
