Rating is based on votes, mdl has no way to tamper with ratings at all. The show has 9.1 because out of those 2k+ people who voted, majority must have voted 9.5 or 10. Also, if you check, you will also see random antis who have voted 1 for all episodes, or many fans have also already voted for all episodes, even those not aired. Mdl rating is directly linked with the votes only. It will stabilize as more and more people vote. Ideally you will need to wait till minimum the express package is released to really get a good indication of the ratings on mdl.

People complain about glitch on tencent, but funnily antis are making as if whole show ratings is wrong. What brand ambassador? Just cannot digest that a show can do so well! The bug or glitch on tencent has been noted since 2024. So the ratings and indexes for Love in the eastern galaxy must be "questionable" too as per your own stand. Go and seek real values there before throwing mud here.

Finally managed to start this. Still at epi 6. But loving it. The subtle way each character is being built, the importance of each character in this show. The Director is just too good. The visuals 👌👏. The actors are so good. I'm happy that ZLH and TW are being loved in this show. This show will boost both careers a lot too.

Overall it's a good watch. Both characters are well flushed out.
Just maybe the FL's character should have been given more depth. Especially the part when they betrayed her.

It was only no1 on maoyan when the fast track episodes were released. Many shows get high indexes on such days. Show is average in China only, outside of China the ratings aren't exactly out or computed.
When you compare youth shows, you need to consider the actors, production house, budget and channel marketing too. By far this one was promoted the most and has well seasoned actors. By this standard, then nope it didn't do better than others as you are saying.
You have to compare alike with alike.
That's why some shows are termed as dark horses even with lower views, because they perform better than all expectations given their background.

Yunhe and kuyun are used for reference of 15mil per epi and to rate TV dramas.
The 421 millions you are using here is from maoyan. Many shows got 1 billion views on maoyan but still failed to get S or S+ on yunhe.

Show isn't a flop, but show underperformed completely with regards to its expectations by market.

By the way, for both yunhe and kuyun, as at yesterday both were <10 millions per epi.

Unless if you want to ignore truth, the show's heat index is anyway dropping since past 1-2 days. Now you can say whatever you want, if show was really enjoyed by everyone, it would have touched 9500 if not 10000 by now. So basically there is a general sort of disappointment.

Yunhe or other websites, show isn't even in top 5. Except maoyan, show is below average on other tracking sites.

It's a pity that the heat index of 9192 which was obtained on the promotion day couldn't be withheld or increased considering the epis in between were only fillers for many viewers there.
