I am at ep 7 and everything is so convoluted and complicated...nothing is as it seems but one cant really figure anything out..instead the story constantly needs to tell you the twists retrospectively. It feels it turns and twists just to be twisty ...am I the only one who is totally lost? I think this drama looks beautiful and I like the fox sisters but to me this is a typical GJM Drama visual over substance or a coherent "whose done it" story. Also JJY gentle whisper talking grates me more than Esther Yus baby voice...and thats saying something. Does it get better or should I drop it?
Yes, in GJM dramas, the characters' names and osts usually speak a lot about their fates.
And usually most characters sacrifice and/or die...with this director a sad ending or unsatisfying open ending is almost guaranteed which is why I watch his stuff with caution...FoF ending was so unnecessarily sad and cruel. I hope unlike FoF in the second half people wont die and cry the entire time....

But in chinese drama they aleays stab in the gut...which is certain death in reality because you pierce the intestine...but walk away like they just cut their finger...its annoying and overdone...nobidy walks after such an injury no matter how trained.
At first I couldnt take ML seriously as a general but after single handedly destroying the camp assasin style..I am on board he played the darkness behind the smile pretty convincingly...kind of chilling...I can believe he is a an assasin turned general now...but shows stop stabbing their protagonists in the gut and having them stand up and run for miles afterwards like they just scraped their knee...either stab them and have them almost die and bleed out...or use a less serious wound... this is ridiculous.
I am a bit confused Qian Qian. Does she have a love hate relationship where she loves him back and has feelings for Qi Minand hates him at the same time because he is so ruthless, dangerous, controling and threatening her son. Or does she really hate him only? Because she seems way to hesitant in killing him and doesnt seem repulsed by making out with him even after her son is save. There is no need to play that game anymore or fake anything. He knows she wants to flee and resents him so no need to fake otherwise. Also I need Deng Kai in a DFCQ Typ role as the male lead asap. That being said I dont ship that couple its too toxic.

Really I prefer all the changes the Drama made so far...especially the romamce the constant assaulting und biting was really unromantic and repetitive. All in all so far I think its oretty close to the novel aside from minor changes. But to each their own.🙂

So the princess is undercover but slipped by using bengong revealing her status but FQY doesnt kniw thkse title or couldnt imagine a princrss there and things its her Name..ok yeah thays funny. Also the princess is refered to as princess royal...what is the difference between a princess and a princess royal?

But that is actually gokd strategy wipe out the enemy and only lose 200 men...when he could have lost them all against such numbers...that doesnt seem like a bad strategy.

Watched them all...back from the brink is one of my favourites. even if the dramas production value isnt half as well done as this one. What matters is the story.
I'm so hooked. The story is so refreshing the couple is just lovely with each other and more natural than in the novel which I really like. Just one problem...how do O survive toll tomorrow....can anyone recommend me something else to watch in the meantime...my vibe is Dramas lile LbFaD, LitC, PoB, aDwaD, BftB, Love between lines, you are my glory, hidden love, the day of becoming you....to name a few...I dont like stories like Kuning Palace or TteotM...what can ypu recommend....this is a life or death situation🥲🥲🥲🤣

I agree I never liked her in previous roles but here she is so cute sweet and captivating. Same for ZLH I liked him in LBFD but after that either the stories or his characters were not my cup of tea...like he is very good looking but lacked charisma...but here the styling really suits him and the role as well. It really shows it needs a good story for actors to shine sometimes. I really like the setting of making the FL a commoner . So the clash between politics of the upper class and how it affects the lower classes is really shown also shows how removed they are from reality. And I need more dramas in winter time...its sooo pretty.
I think this shows depicts cheating as too onesided as if women are always victims to cheating men when the truth is women cheat just as much as men...I hope the shoe will adress this az dome point.
