Zu Qi Zhang's apt with his mom....is same apt that Li & Guan share in another Taiwanese drama 'DNA Says Love You'. Those same pipe/wooden shelves on wall and that same red/white good luck statue sitting on it :D Too funny.
Can someone explain why it suddenly became History franchise ?
I don't worry too much about this. Taiwanese dramas give shout outs to other Taiwanese dramas. It just feels like a fun thing they do....even it it is just a similar poster on a wall in someones room (at minimum) or an actor from one appearing briefly in another (at max). I feel like it is fun for fans who notice these details..... like Easter eggs :)
Asking this incase I missed it... did Ye Guang ever realize that Qi Zhang was the one he gave the umbrella to…
Maybe it is to highlight that sometimes the little nice things we do for strangers can come back around to us since those strangers can become future friends/family/allies?
What?!?!? Where have I been? They re-made a LONGER version of this series!?!?!?? I AM IN. Time to binge!
OMG. Auntie still looks like the girl from Hunger Games. And most of the actors are the same; fun seeing them 2 years later...... Enjoying This! i am here for the drama and angst ;)
Korean suits (infinitely BETTER than the American one) is also good: The actors are so good also with their complex…
yay! Korean Suits is so underrated. So glad you liked! Devil Judge is definitely the BEST, but you totally see what I mean about the connection between the two male leads! :)
Honestly... I didn't enjoy this a lot. The drama had a promising start, but the cliches took over a way too much…
I just finished this also. I enjoyed this overall, but I totally agree about the awkward does-not-make-much-sense forced drama-for-the-sake-of-drama thing in those two eps before the last one. It just felt unnecessary. Last ep redeemed itself at least. I rate it a little higher than you since the two leads had a lot of great chemistry; they seemed super comfortable with one another and no awkward crap as if they never kissed another person before :D And the all the eps when they were first dating was super cute ;) I totally loved the supporting couple also; loved having the daughter around, cheering them on.
I would so watch a season 2 of this. They could have an adventure in London with Li and Guan, or have the boys come back to Taiwan for another adventure for the channel. They could easily cover more background info with Amber's parents....or just more lovely stuff with Le and Amber :) How about more background with Yuhe's brother? Or even with Yuhe herself? so many possibilities.
I thought this was cute despite the insane amount of awkwardness in it! But the awkwardness was so over the top at times (and is so Japanese) that I laughed at a lot of it. Just silly. This series isn't too serious, but I like that at times. I don't need all my series to be emotionally draining. It has a decent ending that I was content with. It took me a few eps to warm up to Kanade's character (not actor's fault) since that strong introverted/shy/awkward character is really hard for me to relate to. I am personally not attracted to that type of person/character, but I can understand that others, like Yanase, may find that personality endearing and adorable (TO EACH THEIR OWN, I SAY! Life is full of variety!). I know a lot of viewers seemed unhappy with the "lack of intimacy" in this series, but I would also point out that not all couples have 'romantic' relationships that drown in constant mushiness.... people are different and love is in all forms; we each having individual/different desires/needs/wants that make us happy and fulfilled. And the obvious is that it is a Japanese series, not a Thai one :D
Really, the only thing I hated was Kanade's hair style. That actor is so cute and they ruined his looks with horrible hair. UGH. It was distracting at times!
But did you like it? That’s why I haven’t watched this yet. Have to go over the hump,on the body switch.
I hear you rarely see the female. They know it is a body swap so they have the male actor play himself the majority of the time since it is understood to be him. For this reason, I am giving it a try since others said it isn't what we expect from this kind of trope: supposidly done well. Lets watch and find out.....
I just finished the series and I don't really know where to start. I simply loved it and for now, I find myself…
Korean suits (infinitely BETTER than the American one) is also good: The actors are so good also with their complex characters.
Devil Judge gave me the following vibes from these series: Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Suits (Korean version), Lucifer..... maybe a pinch of Batman tossed in :D
It is bad…but also kinda goofy, which made it kinda funny. Not the worst thing I’ve seen but still not good.
The goofiness was there for me too. I was laughing at a lot of the silliness. I think this is a series that wasn't meant to be taken serious. Definitely a long shot from the worst I have seen. ;)
