Oh too many villains...I didn't even include the Foggy-villains...yes, Grandson little Li was a mini-villain. It's like he tip-toed around villainhood...huh

Finally finished Pursuit of Jade...yeaaaaah. My eyes look like panda eyes but me don't care. Not sure overall I would give it a 9.1 like ☝️here cause I found some aspects more great and some not so much.
Okay, as much as it's easy for me to rant (yes, a lot to say about the writing) I'm just gonna focus on the acting which is a 💯 across the board.
Omg...the acting in this is impeccable...these characters took me into their world and I gotta say, towards the end, I was reluctant to leave. Anywho, let's talk about the villains. Yes, a round of aplause 👏👏👏🙌 like they stole the show for me.
So here are my top 5 villains in POJ
5) Grandpa Li - This old man is what we call foolish. His best line was "I acted like a villain for nothing" yes, gramps, absolutely nothing. He should have listened to uncle's advise about going to retirement early and enjoy his last days. Well, he got it but only in disgrace.
4) Puppet Emporor- If grandpa Li is foolish, this Emporor is comedic foolish. I LOL every single damn time including his mental breakdown ep. I need to Google this actor cause lol 😆
3) Obsessed-crazy Qi Min - Now this one might be you all's fav. I loved his obsession scenes but the thing is I've watched too many dramas with crazy men obsessed with one woman so this wasn't new. However this guy stole my heart with how he manipulated his brother...like wth, his little coughs in-between and fake care was just genius.
2) Uncle - Can I firstly say, Uncle is hot. Okay I loved uncle's zen in all of this. His silence was deadly but his words were of frustration...it's like he just didn't care. His character was the most puzzling to me especially after knowing everything. It's as if he consciously chose to be a bad person to protect the nation from the stupid royal family. Ofc in his own way.
1) The heir apparent Sui- Dare I say, I have never enjoyed a villain the same way I enjoyed this one. It's like the writer just wanted him on screen and yes, I ended up getting annoyed at some point but the actor has a way to just pull you in. I wanted to slap, punch, stomp on this little brat and yet, I felt for him in that last scene. I'm blown away🤯
Honourable mention to the late Emporor who was none other than a sadistic selfish douche. Again, this drama made me feel all the feels without actually seeing this character.
Now this is what you call a good plot.
Anywho, whenever I think of POJ, I think I will mostly remember the villains cause boi oh boi, they came, ate and left no crumbs.

Wow the Visuals are Visualising here and I ain't complaining....
It's like, how much do you want the leads to be hot, sexy and flirting
The director = Yes yeah
And I am enjoying every moment of them.

Oh thanks for giving me an update on how it ended. Now that you reminded me of the main plot, it explained why I took a pause on reading. I remember thinking, too much plotting and war etc so I paused...huh

At this point I am TOO CLEVER for this drama cause I mean not only was I (and some of you all) right about PJB's identity, I freaking saw that coming. Like really...where did SA suddenly bought the audacity to do what she did cause so far, she had absolutely none. So I wonder in whatever high place she was, to think oh it's cool to follow my deranged ex-boyfriend aka deep fake to anywhere and turn my phone off 🤯🤔🤔 siiigh, smh. I've got no words. At this point WHJ is being paid for running cause the amount of times we have seen him run around (aimlessly sometimes) is funny.
You know what would be interesting is for SA to actually turn up to be psycho but we all know they won't dare go there.
So, who is the boyfriend killer...let me 🤔 My theory is its either someone who is obsessed with SA and either wants to eliminate what he/she thinks is an obstacle to SA's life or happiness to possess her in a controlling way. So if I think this way it opens up to who else is close to SA besides Mr sulky photographer and Bartender unni or anyone who benefits from SA being alone and single.

Like you said, there are different types of folks, however this guy was a nut job and I highly doubt he would be one to actually act on it. It appears that was all talk and no action. To add onto the types of people, there are some with violence tendencies who feed off events like this. I once came across through my job someone who was volunteer at war zones etc. He described the events like it was something out of the movie. And shrugs off each time I asked how that felt witnessing all that. In the beginning, I thought he is dissociating but later found out that going to those places was his coping mechanism for his violence tendencies. He was such a fascinating client.

Exactly cause it would be really silly if PJB is actually the real one going on a revenge path for his brother from another mother.

SA in that preview echoed my thoughts exactly...
Like why would someone go to this extreme for a friend. Like why 🤷‍♀️Cause ain't no way, would I risk my life for anyone besides my family...never.
So why is this PJB hell bent on SA🤔🤔
Unless, (my theory) he switched identity. Maybe the one who died in that bomb is PJB and SH survived but his face got disfigured. He then thought of an idea to switch his identity, get rich and start revenge on SA. I mean the little we know of SH is undesirable, it seemed he was such a nut job so it wouldn't be far-fetched for him to use that deranged brain to torment SA.

Omg, not sure if they are going to follow the novel...anyway, after my frustration with PA's ending I started reading the novel. I pretty much continued reading from the last scene in the drama. If I remember correctly CQ cut ties with YX, roams around looking for ZY. When they finally get reunited they stayed in a ship (don't quote me) and spend years planning war against YX who had been doing the most. Anyway during that time, they had 2 children I think 🤔
Anyway, I never finished reading the story so not sure how it ends.
So if they are to follow the novel very closely, well I don't know how they will sell their romance cause the FL is sooooo young.

Omg 😲 😱 Now that you mentioned it. They do resemble eachother. Holy sh** how did I miss that. Maybe it's the height that helped me separate them but woah they do look alike.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out the timeline where the first scenes came from and can't see to...
If it's the future then, well it seems CSA will end up at the police station for something (I'm on her side if she killed anyone for R...or wanted to her)

Seriously though, I had so missed Ha Jiwon unni and ofc JJH too. This has really great casting and I cannot imagine to see what mess and drama their characters will bring. Nana's transformation for her this role is incredible.
Also happy it's 10 eps. So I'm buckled up and let's go.

I mean, not that would be surprising (and I understand her if she did) but she doesn't seem like she has it in her.
Anywho...I gotta say, Fire the whole Security team at this gallery cause enough is enough. So you're telling me this gallery can let someone just climb his way to the room with some art worth trillion and security don't notice at all. Okay, so U-Seok and Seol A are hatching this pretend to be boyfriend plan and it seems a spark is sparking...yeah, I enjoyed that exhibition kiss very much 😜
Miss female police officer is spot on on everything and I agree buuuut, maam are you sure this is all in the name of law or part of you is hurt that U-Seok is eyeing another woman who ain't you...see, clock it.
