Absolutely! I nearly made a mistake to drop it after a few ep. but I'm glad I didn't. It's not the best drama but not the worst either. The ML's facial expressions are to die for...he is so much fun to watch. But my favourite is FL, actually I didn't think much of her in the beginning but she showed a glimpse of cleverness, then I liked her. But then somehow a certain situation changed her to be this docile damsel in distress and it was so frustrating (that's when I nearly drop it). However another situation changes her and she becomes so much better and mostly independent (thanks to ML's harsh treatment). But the second couple are so freaking annoying (honestly I fast forward their part). Overall the story and the Main characters are not bad at all. I would say give it a chance but don't quit because of FL as she will have character growth.
I wonder if it is easy to understand the Male Lead's acting skills for non-Chinese speaker. He is a good actor…
Thank you for clarity especially about their many lives entanglement. I had been confused about how he is so in love with her as if he already knew her for a very long time. Oh and I completely understand the ML character which I adore. I like that he has managed to be flirty which is true to jis womanising character and yet not pervy or abusive.
can anyone explain to me fu jiu yun's true identity? I'm sort of confused, is he part of the sacred lamp? because…
FJY's blood and the sacred lamp are the key to barnish all demons; basically drop his blood on the lamp and some magic happens that will destroy all demons. The problem is the process will also kill FJY which is why when he realised that QC is after the lamp, he was concerned because it seems he knows the consequences. The concept seems to set us up for a sad ending but I read somewhere that it might be a happy ending . Because QC also choose to perish with FJY but the heavens/gods felt pity for both and let them live. But don't quote me, it's not certain.
Started this drama out of boredom and I'm pleasantly surprised hence staying (up to ep.8 ). Okay, why did they have to replace the Princess with ZLS in the name of face-swap. That was sloppy writing; it's like the writer was indecisive on what to do with the FL character...tsk tsk. What's keeping me is the ML and he is absolutely adorable. What makes his character stand out is that he is not pushy to the one he loves to love him back. His patience and understanding is what the FL (hey me too) needs considering her circumstances. He has the right balance: he is flirty but not excessive, he yearn for her love but he is not moppey, he knows when to jump in and not to, in FL's business. His character is really pleasant and very soon the FL will be hypnotised. It's good to see how the boy from LOVE O2O has grown.
One thing I learned in this drama is not to Put Pressures of Life onto someone else. I can't help but to think that what DH's brothers said about not quiting his job, forgiving his wife and his mother's expectations always had an impact on him whenever he needed to make a choice/decision. I I honestly disliked the way, they just told him do this, and that. Nobody asked him about his feelings towards his job, wife after she cheated etc. or just simply Are you Happy? I will support any decision you make etc. And the worst thing is, the family may thought that it was love therefore not realising how it was affecting DH in his life choices...sigh No wonder my mom always say, Do What Makes You Happy and I'm happy! See, no pressure...Love You Mom
I really liked this drama, It was so raw. It's depiction of every day-to-day reality for most people can easily…
You have said it All... After that meeting at the end, I can now see two emotionally recovered adults who maybe ready to take a chance on Love. They both had time apart to heal, get to know themselves better and I can see them having something worthwhile (whatever that may be) Yeah, I still hated the wife from start to finish. As you said, the problem is she started to say sorry after she realised she had been duped. So if she had not found out, then she would still be having an affair and planning to divorce the hubby. He was by far not the best husband but she was the worst wife. So no Sympathy.
I always watch anything that has our girl Janice Wu...she is such a pure joy to watch. Oh and I like the male lead, very impressive actor (he is in this amazing period drama, Youth.... and his acting was perfect) My pet peeve is I can't help but to think 45ep. will be full of silly cliche overused stuff: love tri/quadangles, disapproving parents, misunderstandings, On top of the main plot. Yeah I will let this one run it's course then I will watch it with a lot of Fast forward.
Say it Louder.... I have literally lost interest in a lot of current KDramas and no, its not us its the dramas like you said. For me, everything matters but then chemistry does make up for a lot (e.g Abyss). My pet peeve is when they put popular actors, a filler story and lots of cameos for ratings. Currently I'm getting my warm and fuzzy moments with Chinese and Thai (BL) dramas. As for KDramas, I will wait for what's worth watching; I'm sure there will.
Honestly I stumbled upon this gem whilst looking for Eternal Love 3 (upcoming) and now I'm staying. I'm probably one of the few who didn't watch TMOPB (yeah not for me) so I was sceptical at first. And oh my, was I wrong! It's really a beautiful story and both leads have amazing chemistry. I found myself rooting for F from the get go; her harmless love is so sweet. And the Bai family is full of Hotties, OMG! Those uncles and cousins etc, wow...Are we gonna go back to the immortal realm, I mean to them again (miss them already, huh) Yep, I will probably stay and wait to see their white hair baby (it's in the teaser). Is it too late to wish if this drama stays this light, grounded and less drama (well a drama without drama) especially from jealousy b***???? Sigh
I don’t think Ling Long is evil despite her working for Xiao Xiao’s father. I am curious about her back story.
Oh it seems like Ling Ling is an obsession of that guy who is being held captive by XX's evil dad....I saw a glimps when he was thinking and I swear, I thought I saw Ling Long. Also it seems LL is looking for someone (a man). If so, it's more interesting because I wonder if LL is also a spirit or rather has she lived through time as well???? Honestly, I thought I was going to dislike her character but she is not bad so far.
Usually I am all chill when it comes to age gaps but ... Irenie does not even look her age! These two together…
Exactly my first thoughts when I saw the leads....Ireine Song is ageless, has a small face and tiny frame so ML will look like a giant uncle next to her, sigh. I remember having the same feeling about Journey of Flower but it somehow worked out in the end, so who knows.
Omg! SS and NQ are MARRIED and yep, they consumated their marriage (why do I feel some type of way writing this). Anyhoo, Fuzi gave me a little chuckle when he was celebrating whilst the couple are doing coupling stuff (again I'm finding it hard to imagine these two and inserting my dirty imagination, sigh) hahaha!
I kinda liked how Fuzi slide in MSS during his chat with NQ because, I definitely agree; he needs to sort himself out with her (not that dream/illusion the Head set up)...after all he is a married man (wouldn't want him to continue drooling whenever he sees her, would we) After seeing what that West Shiling did (that dragon thingy), now tell me, who is darker???,....these red robe people needs to be quarantined and YH needs to make up her damn mind or else perish with them. For once LQ is using his brain and I'm actually enjoying his villainy way of doing things (exciting actually) POOR SANG SANG, sigh
Anyone else watched ep. 5 with angsty and exasperation like me??? Where do I even begin... Ok, So since prev ep., I'm still getting my head around how Master QS just handover that bell to a noname, little cultivation monk to return it at a crucial time....I mean did he really think that bell will arrive safely (for someone clever as him, that's a dumb move) Ep. 5 - That whatever festival induced my anxiety. I was screaming like "NQ stop the bragging nonsense and turn the f** around to SS!"....Priorities geez And the Master QS went on a lecture about how SS is really the daughter of darkness...I was like, "ok that's enough, shut up now". It's like he is setting up SS to be killed.....sigh this old man. Finally I don't know what it is but I found myself wondering how AC would have done it, especially after discovering SS's identity. There was something about AC - NQ eyes that was so expressive and I didn't see it in DW. No offense to the actor (I'm sure he's doing his best) but I was expecting more on the emotion side... I disliked the use of CGI in that fight because it took away the natural feel of a fight that was in season 1 (remember that desert first scene anyone in S1) Also because I read the book so I feel let down a little on that fight scene...in the book, it's epic.
Whatever is going to happen to him, well he had it coming.
I nearly made a mistake to drop it after a few ep. but I'm glad I didn't. It's not the best drama but not the worst either.
