Why do we need to think she is happy when she looks like a very unhappy person. I don't think that's a problem…
It's pretty clear what the writer wants the viewers to see. It's some viewers who constantly bring up irrelevant issues like the identity of min chae's dad. Btw adult hee do doesn't look unhappy at all to me. She looks like a normal contented adult. Must she be laughing and smiling every single episode? Lol
Lol.why do people keep implying hee do is divorced ? Just because she's not wearing a ring ? Lol. As long as they didn't mentioned she's divorced, she isn't . Lol . Kinda funny reading how people are implying adult hee do is unhappy in her marriage, divorced etc etc lol. Just because someone happens to think back about their first love when they are married doesn't mean that they are divorced/not happy in their current marriage lol.
A certain someone bashed me earlier when I said this is actually a yurim heedo story, calling me a nam Joo Hyuk…
Yeah. Unfortunately Korean society still isn't really open to same-sex relationship story but perhaps the writers here skilfully tried to do that without making it too obvious lol.
"throughout your career, what was your most honorable moment?" "being ms go yurim's rival.""me too. it was an…
A certain someone bashed me earlier when I said this is actually a yurim heedo story, calling me a nam Joo Hyuk hater and whatnot lol. I wonder where's that chap now. I want to tell that person "I told you so" lol.
True I honestly felt this was a Heedo -Yurim sports story. They gave too much focus on the fencing and life of…
Tbh I pretty much knew this was going to be a heedo yurim sports story. I think a lot of people were blindsided by the ads/posters or whatnot but the story started with heedo idolizing yurim so it's only normal it ends with that I guess. Or maybe it's because I didn't read the synopsis/see the posters/trailers whatnot so I wasn't expecting an all out love story.
Lol everything seems so rushed, especially the break up. I'm glad yu rim had a happy ending and like I've mentioned all the while, this story feels more like yurim-heedo's story than heedo-yijin. Even yurim-jiwoong had a better ending lol. Not that I'm complaining but i can understand why people rooting for Yijin is disappointed. I guess I'm right when I said that this is not really a love story between Yijin and heedo lol. One major issue I think they conveniently left out is the "memory loss" issue. They never explained why adult hee do seems to have forgotten the beach trip but remembered everything else. Lol.
There's one major issue which I think the writer did a good job in bringing up that has unfortunately happened to many successful athletes in many countries i.e.how successful athletes are "discarded" by their country when they need help, especially finance wise. Ko yu rim was a world champion at the age of 16/17 yet despite that, when she requested for an advance of her pension to support her family, they very cruelly denied her. They (as in the government/ citizens) refused to render her any help and yet, called her a traitor etc etc when she decided to change nationalities to a country which offers a better future/treatment. How many times have we seen this happening to successful athletes who ended up being forgotten when they could no longer support themselves due to illness /injuries. The writers did a brilliant job highlighting this issue tbh.
Maybe I'm biased since Minami is one of my favorites but I really liked the series. Some episodes are really touching i.e the kid who refused treatment because of the mother and the death of director takamori. I absolutely love the soundtrack from Ado. One thing about jdrama is that they have awesome soundtracks.
"In a time when dreams seem out of reach, a teen fencer pursues big ambitions and meets a hardworking young man…
The thing is they were in love. they never really fell out of love. Just because they married someone else doesn't mean they stopped loving each other completely. They just love their husband/wife more. Not to mention this is indeed a story about love and youth. So I still don't see how the synopsis is wrong . They never mentioned that this is the "past love journey/adventure of a married couple" or something like that. People should just chill and enjoy the ending, however it is. That said, I still prefer them not ending up together because that will be a break from the normal marry and live happily ever after fairytale. I'm more interested to find out whether hee do actually defeats Yu rim to become a world champion because that's her dream.
I think a lot of people sort of misunderstood the story because they got so swept up by the romance part. The…
But it wasn't. This is the official synopsis from Netflix, which I doubt it's wrong since this is shown specially on Netflix.
"In a time when dreams seem out of reach, a teen fencer pursues big ambitions and meets a hardworking young man who seeks to rebuild his life.".
How did the writer scammed anyone? This is the official synopsis on Netflix and this is a very general synopsis. They never mentioned that this is a love story in the first place. In fact if you understood the 1st episode itself, it's more about how min Chae found a diary depicting her mother's struggles to achieve her dreams of becoming a world class fencer like her idol, yu rim. It was never really a full fledged love story. The love story is more of a means to an end rather than the end product itself. In fact the romance wasn't even that deep storywise. There are so many other stories intertwined like yurim and yijin's family poverty, Ji Woong's bad relationship with his mum, hee do's bad relationship with her Mum etc etc. In fact, the major theme of the story is actually sacrifices to achieve a dream . Yu rim's dream is to provide her family with a way out of poverty so she sacrificed her time with her family and her bf by ultimately moving to russia. Yijin sacrificed his friendship with hee do and yurim (to a certain extent) when he released the story of yurim changing nationality. Hee do sacrificed her relationship with Yijin to side with yurim and to become a champion (this part will most likely be shown in the next 2 episodes). Seung Wan sacrificed her chance of entering college when she stood up against that bully teacher because she wanted to "do the right thing and break away from the normal I don't give a damn attitude", Ji woong sacrificed his chances of seeing yurim when he supported her decision to move to russia Honestly I won't even call this a love story. It's a story about the price one has to pay to achieve their dreams.

Even though I am contemplating about dropping this after reading the spoilers... I would still watch the last…
I think a lot of people sort of misunderstood the story because they got so swept up by the romance part. The actual story is about how min Chae gave up on her dream of being a ballet dancer and how her mother is trying to encourage her not to give it up since hee do encountered various difficulties and despite that, became a champion. That's the actual storyline. The romance is actually just a secondary part. I'm pretty sure the final 2 episodes will show how hee do finally becomes a world champion, just like her idol yu rim who did it when she was 17. Viewers seem to have totally missed the point of the drama and thought that it was all about the romance between yijin and hee do lol.
So a baby recognizes her dad but a teenager doesn't ? Lol he's not her dad period. Which grandma will refer to…
Lolll chill. Honestly I feel they pretty much can't change the "sad ending* the moment they showed min Chae not recognizing yijin. I feel that the story is actually more of the relationship between hee do and yurim rather than hee do and yijin . It's about hee do achieving her dream to become a world champion and a true rival to yurim who is like one of the youngest world champion.
So a baby recognizes her dad but a teenager doesn't ? Lol he's not her dad period. Which grandma will refer to…
Lol baby on the set? On which set? Yijin's broadcasting set? If that's so how does it prove that yijin is married to hee do ? All it proves is that yijin has a kid lol. On hee do's set ? Hee do was practically in d arena lol Super duper stretching just for a happy ending lol.silly AF. No grandma in her right mind will refer to her son in law in Full name when talking to her granddaughter dude. I have never heard be it in a drama , movie or real life where a grandparent referred to a son in law in his/her surname when talking to his/her grandchild coz it doesn't make sense. N y would the granddaughter also refer to her father in full name ? The dialogue literally went: grandma: "this is baek yi jin. Do you know him?" Min Chae :"Baek yi jin?" . Which daughter refers to her father by his full name when answering her grandma n which grandma in her right mind will ask her granddaughter if she knows her father ??? Lol stop stretching dude.
HEOL IT'S TRUE ... LISTEN CAREFULLY WITH THE MAX VOLUME AND YOU CAN HEAR A BABY SAYING "APPA"BAEKDO…
So a baby recognizes her dad but a teenager doesn't ? Lol he's not her dad period. Which grandma will refer to her son In law by name when talking to her granddaughter like how hee dos mother referred to yijin by name when speaking with minchae? She would have said "that's your dad" not "that's baek yijin" in episode 4. Even if she were to mention him by name she wouldn't use the surname "baek". Lol u ppl stretching it too far .
