I enjoyed this so much! Loved the cinematography as well; can anyone recommend me other jdramas with this kind of cinematography or high quality film/directing? this was such a visual feast.

Finished ep 33 and this was more a transition episode leading up to the bigger battle. I think one of my favorite things about the last two episodes is just how steadfast they are in their love for each other; its unwavering. Even with memory loss, WZ had no seconds thoughts in jumping in to protect MZY. Random but I also loved the little details, like them exchanging little smiles and glances when the lady was talking about being the most beautiful, or MZY's admiring gaze as he hears WZ talk to the herb demon about how there's good along with the bad. Little moments like this really make you feel like these two just belong together and look sooo married.

If anyone's browsing the comments section deciding to watch or not, I highly recommend you watch it for yourself and decide.

Moonlight reunion is becoming one of my fave shows with the acting, cinematography, ost, a great ensemble cast, and writing (with how they pace the story and build suspense, while interjecting the right amount of conflict in the romance).

Finished episode 32 and loved it! They made the amnesia trope lowkey fun and romantic. The writing does well with balancing the angst with lighthearted moments and they're still weaving in the romance. Also every one in this episode told WZS he sucked to his face which was SO SATISFYING. "she might resent me, but she'll never choose you. you know that very well." to Lady Liu being all yea I trust MZY and he can do more than you.

can we rely on the emojis on the calendar for the episodes? because like i think we're going to get more than what the previews show in a good way.

last thought on these eps: I also don't see what others are seeing about WZ being so close to WZS. She's been more and more distant but she does rely on him for treatments. I think its natural not to suspect the demon you grew up with (as you learned to be a demon) to be as evil as the audience sees he is....but she only talks about demon issues him and relies on him for treatment. She has not once said anything to imply she puts him above other people, literally ep 30 starts with her saying I don't even know who you are anymore.

Whereas with Lady Liu she's talking about her emotions, how she feels about everything...like that girl is her best friend.

Also WZ's lines in ep 30 broke me. Living with the guilt of knowing all these years she's kept and unknowingly protected the demon who killed MZY's parents, she's becoming sicker and sicker and realizing she'll have to let go of her body... shedding that body is like letting go of everything she loves in the mortal world. But also, the scene where she talks about MZY finding someone else who can give him a life and raise children with... HURT SO BAD because it was just 2 episodes ago where she was dreaming of raising children with him and being parents...and now it's becoming more clear with the evil demon in her that its far from a reality.

I better get my happy ending with children though.

This is the one time were like the reason for FL staying away is valid, lol doesn't get any worse than "the spirit of the demon who killed your parents live in my body and its consuming me too". WZ keeps pushing him away and keeps doing what she does best, hiding her feelings and pretending she's nonchalant and fine. And MZY knows something is up, but I don't think he'll easily find out. But i do think it's leading to a conflict where WZ will break her stance of "we can't be together" first for him and realize she's not actually strong enough to push him away. So excited to see where it goes next.

Finished 30 and 31. The actors playing MS and Liu did such an amazing job, I don't know how they kept a straight face through their scenes.

But more importantly, the angst!!! The scene on the terrace was sooo good. Both XK and TXW were delivering!

I have faith in the writing. One of my favorite things about the show is how they have montages that reveal their perspective of each other of all the moments from the previous episodes. Whether its the wedding scene or identity reveal scenes, like when a show consistently does that, it means they're writing with thought. I know some of the plot devices introduced right now in the teasers feel cliche and overused but I am hoping the episodes themselves have more to it and serves a greater purpose. Because this show has shown moments of romance with care and detail.

also I'm only tolerating the WZS scenes because possessive MZY is so hot. MZY with his "that's my girl" energy is something else. 🔥

Literally nowhere did I blame anyone but the writing is very intentional in what they're laying out. Hence why there was a lot of focus with the Snake Lord's previous trauma and conversations about being accepted as a demon, etc. Because it was leading up to that scene. Regardless of his intentions, for her that was a rejection of who she was at the core and now its even worse because she carries a piece of the demon who was responsible for his parent's death. When a writer writes a scene like that, it means the path to reconciliation likely includes a scene where he shows he would choose her and he would sacrifice it all for her even knowing she's a demon. That's a fun plot device to watch but somehow on mdl people love assuming every post is picking sides about who's right or wrong.

yea i'm not here to write essays. LOL i'm gonna write random thoughts. i never knew i had this many people value my opinion that they're demanding i write comprehensive comments to accurately capture all characters portrayed on 29 episodes so far.

i didn't interpret her question as choosing brothers over her but the general concept of what it would be mean for a changxi celestial master to enter the demon world--like they're known for their one objective and that's what he's choosing. it felt like choose this path where you destroy the demon world or choose this other path with me.

though his intent at that time was to save the situation and enter. but the question posed felt broader than that.

show me where i categorized? LOL my posts have been a response to comments i've seen and the claims you're making. but my initiaI post concluded with "like its so obvious how much they still care for each other by the end of this episode" and how i'm excited to see them reconcile.

Naturally when a plot writes in a scene where one chooses something over the love, the next chapters then focus on writing how those characters realize to choose love over all.

Why did he want to enter the demon world? To destroy it. Kill the demons she's known and grown up with. She wanted him to walk away from it when she asked it. its not equivalent choice. but either ways my point was that it sets up the next chapters of how they would reconcile and show their love for each other. and y'all are fighting on who's right or wrong, who's better, who's not. I don't see my characters that way.
