While I adore the Chairman, I really don’t like how he is going about things, and in hindsight- he is quite selfish.
Has he ever asked Kwang Sook what she wants or needs? Or does he just make assumptions about what he thinks she needs and imposes his assumptions onto her? He only ever asked her once- when he asked how much time she needed to think about dating him. She reluctantly told him one month- am sure she would have asked for more than a month but she didn’t want to disappoint him. But he still rejected the one month, even though she said that is what she needed. Then after she rejected him, she told him that all she was ready for right now is friendship and he threw that in her face and accused her of being selfish.
Now, post apology, he has not even bothered to ask her what she needs but has decided what he thinks she needs and is attempting to fix her problems for her. And why is he doing this? To speed things up so they can start dating. It is all about him, once again, and not her. He is really doing too much. At this point, all she really needs is for someone to sit down and listen to her and talk to her about her husband and her grief. Which is what he should have done from the beginning. She can’t do that with her Mom because her Mom is busy trying to marry her off, and she can’t talk to her brothers-in-law because they are also grieving. The Chairman should have been her friend and used his experience with grief to help her through her own and over time, build a romantic relationship. He has never even asked her about her husband, yet he is so comfortable walking into his house🤦🏽♀️.
1. The Bank issues:- when Kwan Sook and Chun Soo were informed that LX Hotel became a guarantor, Kwang Sook was visibly uncomfortable- even as she spoke to Chun Soo outside. Then suddenly, when she went to thank the Chairman, she was all smiles. This shows the different power dynamics at play, especially since he is so heavily involved in her business. She is uncomfortable and cannot tell him because she is afraid of upsetting him, especially after what happened the last time. She also does not want to come off as ungrateful when he is being so nice to her and helping her. I wonder if the writers will address this or just brush it aside? She was so free and comfortable when she was with Jang Soo. It will take some time for her to feel that kind of freedom and comfort with the Chairman. Even if she were to tell him that she was not comfortable with his brand of ‘assistance’, would he actually listen?
2. Her brothers-in-law- while becoming a big brother to the Eagle brothers is a sweet proposition, Kwang Sook is still working hard to solidify her relationship with them so they can become actual siblings. A part of this is actually going through life with them, helping them with their struggles, and celebrating their victories. The Chairman coming in to take over that for her would rob her of those experiences, especially since is has only been a few months since Jang Soo died. He should really just become a friend to the brothers, and leave everything else to her.
3. Chairman’s friend- Why did the writers have his friend talk to Kwang Sook and only add more pressure on her? I think that was really unnecessary and uncalled for. Kwang Sook did not deny that she has feelings for him, and she is actually inching towards him, slowly🐌 . She is grieving and just needs time- unfortunately she is going through her grief a little too slowly for the Chairman’s liking. The Chairman needs a friend who can advise him to slow down, be patient, and actually listen to Kwang Sook.
4. Car accident- this was also really unnecessary- this trope is usually used to when someone has been rejected and the person who has rejected them is adamant about not dating them. That is why it worked so well in Five Children- the FL had dumped the ML because she felt their relationship would have so many challenges and she changed her mind after he got into an accident. In this case, Kwang Sook is grieving, and it has only been a few months since her husband died. She is slowly falling for the Chairman but really needs time to heal. So I found this trope used here to be quite unsavoury and manipulative for the FL. I wonder why the writers are in such a rush to get her through her grief (by manipulating her). OR is this supposed to be a learning curve for the Chairman?- to teach him to be patient and how to not do anything? Will Kwang Sook keep her frustrations bottled up until she one day has an outburst at him and he finally listens?
Grief is really such a sensitive subject and I hope the writers will handle it well and will not just rush through it for the sake of a story.

🤣 could it be the translation? Jung Bae's initial DNA test was run with Chu Ah's DNA so she is his daughter. I doubt Soon Ae ran out to try to get Seon Ju's DNA in the middle of the night. Jung Bae was already suspicious after his jacket had been moved.

So there has already been a mix-up at the orphanage 🤣 and Squinters was actually telling the truth. The more they reveal about him, the less evil he looks. He was mostly greedy. Didn’t the note have a date? Does is correlate with Woo Sang's age?
Did you notice that before Pi Su II walked in, Mi Ju started to mention Woo Sang's possible link to Soon Ae in front of her Mom and had to stop? This must indicate that Man Eun can provide more details about Dong Soo and his real age. Everyone else does not seem know Dong Soo's age and Soon Ae has no reason to reveal it.
ALTERNATIVELY, if it turns out that Woo Sang is Dong Soo, the only way to make it believable is to say that he had plastic surgery to make himself look younger for his acting career. He lost a lot of time because of his heart condition so plastic surgery helped him to regain his lost youth 🧐🤔😂.
Chu Ah and Nam Jin's Mom get some of the best lines😂😂. Reverse gear😂😂. A well dressed pauper 🤣🤣🤣. And when Chu Ah told Seon Ju that she wasn't even that nice to Sang Ah😂😂.
It was hilarious when Nam Jin's Mom walked away from the well dressed pauper, aka, Soon Ae, at the police station. For the first time in the show, Nam Jin's Mom was rendered speechless 🤣🤣.

I totally agree that this is such a bad ship. Am hoping she leaves town for a while and does not go to the brewery or any of their acquaintances. Going to the brewery would be such a disservice to the character. If she stays with people who know her, that would be just trading in one safety net for another. Her friends will always be showing up trying to help her and give her money, and the people she will be staying with will not let her do anything because they know she is a pampered princess who really does not know how to do much of anything. Beom Soo even told her during their last interaction that he worried about her getting hurt. And she responded that she would be brave- there is nothing brave about sticking around the brewery where Beom Soo and everyone else will coddle her. Beom Soo really does pity her- his eyes show it- I did not see any hint of romance there- just genuine concern for someone who has been sheltered all her life and is naive. He will never see her as potential love interest if she continues to hang around him- she will be just another person he needs to take care of, like Ha Ni.
The best for her would be to go out into the world- with no safety net and find out if she can sink or swim. Bom even said she has trouble making friends- going away will help her to gain some social skills too.
