The strong seemed strong to me, what was weak for you?
First of all, I’m a guy 😂. And I never said those two movies are the gold standard for how a plot should work. I was just giving you an example to explain what I mean. You asked me why I think the plot is weak, so I explained my reasoning and used those movies to illustrate my point. You don’t have to agree with my interpretation, but that doesn’t mean I’m treating them as the absolute standard for storytelling lol

Have to disagree. She was basically the female Bale who was psycho and wanted to kill people/be the superior to others (didn’t want Jeong telling him what to do about not killing civilians) at all times + both expressed it through violence.

"I think what the writers did in Season 2 was make Jeong Jian the main focus. Bale was essentially part of Jinman’s story, so they killed him off and shifted the story toward Jian facing a new female antagonist. Season 2 is mainly about Jian, her relationships, and how she deals with everything happening around her—that itself is the plot of Season 2.

My problem is that it just doesn’t capture the emotions as well as Season 1 did with Jinman. Season 1 had so much emotional weight because Jinman’s relationships, his past, and the conflict with Bale were deeply connected to the story. Season 2 has a clear direction, but it doesn’t create the same emotional impact or make me as invested in the conflict."

I think the story was pretty clear about why things are happening and has me emotionally invested in the fate of the characters and their motivations. Now I’m wondering if people were on their phones while watching this or something to be missing such a simple plot

"If people are saying the plot is missing, that doesn’t necessarily mean they weren’t paying attention or were watching while using their phones. It simply means they interpreted the story differently and, from their perspective, the plot didn’t work for them. Everyone can have a different opinion"

i get it you liked s2 better than s1 its just different for everyone

did u watch kill bokson and mantis , if not give it a try you may understand where i am coming from for how plot should work

The strong seemed strong to me, what was weak for you?
Basically, compared to Season 1, Season 2 just has a much weaker plot. In this kind of genre, I think what makes a plot strong is the emotional tension and how the relationships drive the story forward. In Season 1, the relationship between ML and Bale created so much angst and emotional conflict that it kept me invested in the show.

But in Season 2, they killed off the strong villain and introduced a new female villain, and honestly, she just doesn’t click for me. Her entire personality seems to be about wanting to be superior to everyone else. That alone doesn’t make someone a compelling antagonist.

What I’m trying to say is that a strong plot isn’t just about having a villain or constantly adding conflicts. The plot should gradually unravel in a way that brings out the characters’ emotions, relationships, motivations, and consequences. The story should make you understand why these things are happening and make you emotionally invested in where they’re going.

For example, in the last episode, there was that scene where the female villain looks at herself in the mirror and before delivers some dialogue. I don’t know how to explain it, but it just felt so fucking forced and rubbish to me 😂. It didn’t make her feel intimidating or even give me the vibe of a real antagonist.

And I’ll give another example without spoiling anything: have you watched Kill Boksoon and Mantis? I’m not trying to compare these shows at all. I just mean that Kill Boksoon itself had a relatively weak plot, but the characters, relationships, and emotional elements balanced it out and created enough foundation for Mantis. That’s more what I mean by how a plot should unravel and build toward something, rather than simply having a villain who exists to be evil or superior.

Season 1 did that for me. Season 2, unfortunately, just feels like it has events happening without the same emotional weight behind them.

I think the rich production is actually what makes this show great. The production value, action, and visuals are really impressive, but the storyline this season has honestly been disappointing. I don’t think they should renew it for Season 3 because, if they do, it might just feel dragged out—they’ll probably keep adding a bunch of new characters without having a strong enough plot to carry the story. Anyway, despite the weak storyline, I still really enjoyed the action scenes. They were genuinely great.

I’m the type of person who always ships the FL and ML in every drama I watch. If they don’t end up together, I usually don’t like it. But this drama completely broke that rule for me, man. For the first time, I was actually shipping the ML with the FL’s stepmother. Their chemistry was just insane, and honestly, I didn’t feel much chemistry between the ML and FL at all. I actually hated the fact that the ML ended up liking the FL because, in my eyes, he had such a beautiful and natural chemistry with her stepmother

I was completely disappointed with Episode 10, especially after Episode 9. I was genuinely curious to see how SFL would react after finding out that ML is her half-brother and how she would respond to her mother. But instead, they completely glorified the mother’s character. She comes to the press and says, “I didn’t do anything shameful. I didn’t know he had a wife, and I was only 24 at the time,” and then SFL simply makes up with her mother.

But what about everything she did to ML? She is still his biological mother. She abandoned her own child, and even when he eventually went looking for her, she completely rejected him. She knew he was being abused and still did absolutely nothing. Not even an ounce of guilt or remorse. How is that not shameful?

And after watching this episode, I can already see where this is going. In the next episode, they’ll probably glorify her again, making ML director after he step down, and give us some shitty emotional conversation between them as if everything is suddenly okay.

Honestly, what a terrible show. This is easily one of the worst shows I’ve watched recently.

A good watch overall. The relationship between the ML and FL was portrayed really well, especially where the FL couldn't stand the ML.

The ending confused me a bit, though. After the ML said, *"You did great. You got everything you wanted,"* and then left, the FL started crying. Were those tears of happiness because she finally achieved everything she wanted, or were they tears of sadness because the ML had left her?

I'm interested in watching this show, but every time I come across Instagram edits, I get the impression that the ML is kind of pathetic—his friends walk all over him, and then they all reconcile like nothing ever happened. If that's really how the show is, I'd rather skip it. I relate a bit too much to that kind of character, so I don't enjoy watching stories like that. Am I completely wrong about my impression? I'd love to be corrected because I do want to give this show a try.

The train scene in Episode 1 with **"Stranger with Flowers song"** is pure cinema. The way the lyrics reflect the FL's point of view is absolutely beautiful. I was completely blown away—the song, the lyrics... damn, that scene was incredible.

As a webtoon reader, I'm very disappointed with the adaptation. The webtoon was amazing, but the adaptation failed to capture its charm. The casting, in particular, was a huge letdown for me—I really didn't like it at all

Waste of time watching this. I kept waiting for the FL to finally muster up the courage to do something, but it never happens. The FL is frustratingly passive, and the ML spends the entire series simping for her. I didn't feel any real romance or chemistry between the FL and ML. Overall, it felt like a complete waste of time to watch
