Title Majo no Jouken Spoiler
Sad or happy ending? I need to know if I need tissues at the end......
Right, so an open ending. I'm not a huge fan of those to be frank. Still, thanks for the info; all I really need to know is if I need a box of tissues and chocolate or whether it will be tearless by the closing credits? I am so done with crying right now; so many of these dramas have reduced me to a puddle of tears by the end that I'm in danger of being a dehydrated husk soon. lol! Thanks again for the info though - genuinely appreciated.

Title Princess Jellyfish Spoiler
Tsukimi was definitely in love with Kurako/Kuranosuke (her comment to her mum and the way she looked at him at the end of the fashion show proved that) - but I think it's difficult because he's either transgender, gay or a transvestite (it wasn't made clear).

If the latter of the three then he's likely to return her feelings, possibly, at some point (even if he doesn't now) as in every other way transvestite men think, act and love like every other man (they just choose to dress as women - day to day in his case). If, however, he's transgender or gay then hers will most definitely be a one-sided love as he will never see her as anything more than a friend. I'm genuinely not sure - sometimes in the movie I thought Kuranosuke was transgender, or maybe gay, other times that he was a transvestite; so it was really difficult to get a handle on his feelings for Tsukimi.

Still, one thing I will say - he never, to me at least, seemed to look at her the way someone in love would look at the person they want to be with. To me, at least, it seemed he saw her more as a best friend, than a love interest. But, to be honest, I really and truly hope I'm WRONG.

She genuinely accepts him for who he is and, if he is a transvestite and not trans or gay, then he could do worse than fall for her as she will never try to force him to be someone he isn't; never try to force him to conform, and that's worth a hell of a lot these days when (no matter what country you live in) conforming and being the same as everyone else is demanded by the majority. I would also argue that she'd defend him and his choice to dress as he wants as well - at a time when he's unlikely to be accepted by anyone else for who he really is.

But whatever the outcome - I LOVED the movie......it was BRILLIANT and Masaki Suda's portrayal of Kurako/Kuranosuke was just EXCELLENT - it was his performance that really lifted the movie out of the anime's shadow of 'madcap comedy'.

@rainruma - He Yi Chen is my favourite - frosty on the outside, but once you're past that he's loving and warm and he's your guy until the end of the line.....but everyone else just gets the cold and frosty. lol!

Although it's sad it's not a melodrama. So it's a big recommendation!! :D
Dramanice have it subbed - it's a really good film, but you will shed tears.

I'm just getting into it, but did anyone notice Ding Hui Fan seems like she's dubbed over?
In the US they have UK shows on American BBC and they have subtitles for shows like Eastenders!! XD

Who just starts randomly singing in a boat?
I'm a sucker for BTS, Big Bang, Sistar and BTOB.......when I'm at home or in my car...obviously you don't hear Kpop at Tesco! lol!

But yeah, just like you, if the 'external' music is good I sing along regardless of where I am, just quietly..... XD

I have to say I am really impressed with Netflix and their loading so many East Asian dramas and films. My own list is ALL East Asian, except for Shadowhunters, marvel stuff and a few documentaries. lol! Thanks for the link too. :D

Title Love or Not
is this a Japaense remake of She was Pretty (Korean drama)? The synopsis sounds similar to it.
@Invincibleme - Wow, yes, now you mention it it does sound remarkably similar......hopefully it will be subbed and we can see if we're right. Though I'm learning Japanese currently so will, once again, have a stab at the uncooked version if necessary. :)

I'm as excited to watch this as I am to see 'Advance Bravely' - it looks so good. Just hope it doesn't have a sad ending - just for once I'd like the monster to win.
