I am sick up to the back teeth Asian dramas and even viewers excusing and normalising abusive parents in the name…
I fret whenever I wish to do so, and I will decide when I need to use harsh words in the future as well. If it is necessary, I won't refrain. If that is your way of being sarcastic in texture, you really need to work on that quite some more. Homophobia is the least of the problems with him in this case, that would be more relatable, especially regarding the period of the drama, if he stopped there. His actions go way beyond pure homphobia and he is certainly not up for being not only a father, but a decent human being either. I have zero intention to understand verbal and physical abuse, greed, not to mention intent to kill, but rest assured, Thai lakorns nand Asian dramas in general never miss a chance to forigve and reaffirm the shittiest parental behaviour just because they are "parents", so fat chance this is going to be the case here as well, instead of sending this bastard to the hell where he belongs.
Ep7: I have to admit, I was really hoping for something reminiscent of IFYLITA; that segment of the poem strikes…
I am sick up to the back teeth Asian dramas and even viewers excusing and normalising abusive parents in the name of alleged "love". Fucking bullshit. Love my pimpled arse. This horrible excuse for a father who has been physically and verbally abusing his son, not to mention guilt tripping him for his mother's death which the father himself caused, and for his own selfish and greedy purposes only, has no idea what love is. He is pure evil who deserves to be burnt alive and rot in hell forever. And whoever thinks this is "paternal love" needs to be castrated before they even think of breeding.
Pin is not Sherlock homes. I repeat she is not Sherlock Pin. She doesn’t have to connect the dots to figure…
Pin knows exactly her crush does not love her and she does not give a fuck, because she wants him for herself and she wants to escape from her horrid family. That is much worse and more selfish than being cheated on by a person who is literally hunted, blackmailed and threatened to marry her against his will.
What really irks me already that I am afraid this rotten family will get the redemption at the end only because…
I am talking about what usually happens in Asian dramas and I am already scared of this happening here as well at the end. Thai lakorns always find the way to whitewash even the shittiest of parents.
What really irks me already that I am afraid this rotten family will get the redemption at the end only because…
I am pretty sure it is going to be a happy one, I am talking about making a "martyr" of the father somehow, like he is sacrificing himself for his son at the every end in a way and all of his inhumane abuse will be forgiven instantly - something like that.
Poor Saengkaew doesn't need enemies when he has father, grandma and uncle like that. His family is the biggest…
What really irks me already that I am afraid this rotten family will get the redemption at the end only because the are "family" - as usual in Asian dramas, especially in Thai lakorns. Saengkaew's father deserves to be burnt alive for what he is doing to his son, and I am sure that he won't get his punishment at the end or the creators will make a way to make him a martyr in a way.
You are talking absolute rubbish out of your arse.Nothing is "romanticized" here. Both sexual interactions…
"Marketed as romance but opens with SA " Like me and many other said before, this is only irreconcilable in your head. Of course everyone has the right to be an ignorant dimwit and be choked when they see this in a yakuza-themed drama, but we have just as much right to ridicule them. They deserve it.
And no matter how you try to twist it to fit your agenda, nothing was "romanticized or normalized" by purely and naturalistically showing them.
"And then there’s Nong. The supposed straight man"Where did you get that he is straight?
I somehow knew that is the scene you are basing this on, but this is very likely to be a misinterpretation, The Thai word "Faen" is non-gender specific and it means both girlfirend and boyfriend. The translation indeed says girlfriend, but that is the rudimentary quality of these subs for this show (not ununsual btw that other English subbers of Thai shows mistakenly choose this instead of using something like lover, partner or significant other when the sex of the other party is not defined). If you rewatch it, when it comes to Wi's confession, the subtitle also says "I used to have three girlfriends. All men". So it is clearly the case of an erroneous translation.
That scene is more like about Wi being totally upfront about his sexual orientation while Nong is dancing around the question, at least in front of strangers . But if you look at closely how Nong's family and friends behave around him, especially when they see him with Wi, I think it is pretty obvious everyone there knows him being gay. It was particularly telling when Ni asked Jump about whether Nong had someone at the beginning. I might be just speculating but Jump nearly spilled the beans there.
It would have been totally out of place in that situation, not to mention a reckless thing to do there in public…
That was a moment of tender solace and those small gestures like hugging ad caressing suited the situation far better than any kiss, for which it was not the time and place.
It’s going so good. But waiting for new eps is a pain in the neck. Ep 5 was amazing. That scene where they sit…
It would have been totally out of place in that situation, not to mention a reckless thing to do there in public now. The script does not have to defy logic only to serve kiss-obsessed fans.
Saenkaew, your mother died because of your monster father. She tried to protect you from him. If anyone is responsible for her death then it is your worthless father, you should not feel smpathy for him. I am already mad that this human garbage is likely to be given forgiveness at the end in the best Lakorn tradition just because he is called a "father". He should die in agony.
If that is your way of being sarcastic in texture, you really need to work on that quite some more.
