So many unanswered questions? So now Ton DID know they are a couple? Continuity is gone, I guess. Did they have sex in the car and then again over night? It was SUPER unclear. I really need them (and all BLs in general) to stop this narrative that 1) that if someone says no to sex, just push the issue and they'll go along with it and 2) that the 'bottom' is supposed to act like sex is icky yucky gross and if your partner wants to have sex, they are a pervert and you can only give in reluctantly, with lots of protests, or your a whore. Like seriously! Last week Nhai admitted to liking sex with Ai, he was only hestitant because he was unsure how Ai truly felt about him and did not want to get in deeper. That totally made sense. But we are past that now, Nhai should be just as into it as Ai. Or at least half as into it! This whole episode felt like they left so much out. The whole story about Ai's mom, up until now, he said he didn't have a mother (leading me, at least, to believe he was born from surrogacy or his mom died when he was a baby) but now we have someone he met when he was at least old enough to remember her...I need answers. That would be a great plot line. Sigh...it just starting to feel disjointed now, and I love Ai and Nhai so far. I just need the kisses and intimate scenes to get a smidge better and for them to stop leaving us hanging on entire scenes. That whole car scene was weird. Was it lube, a condom, a sex toy?!? Like what was it and what happened in the car, cause Nhai's face before the scene ended looked like nothing was gonna happen...
Having read Hemp Rope, this was a good start. I love they brought everone backand even had Sammy, Fluke and Ohm redo almost exactly to tie the balcony scene to the story. At first I was annoyed to get the whole grocery scene over again (despite being my favorite scene fro. UWMA), but then I realized the next scene wouldn't have made sense without it. Since this is the same timeline as UWMA, they have to clue us in to where in the timeline we are. Pretty smart, cause it kind of makes it necessary for people to go watch UWMA before watching this, and if you watch that, you definitely will come watch this.
At this point I am only here for Ping and Tap. I pray they don't let us down. Ping's crying was...not it for me, acting wise, but it was still better than anything Fah and Sher give us. Sigh...what is with these love scenes!! I never thought there could be worse kissing that the closed lips, not moving, eyes open (or squeeze tight in repulsion) BL kisses. But this open mouth, but STILL not moving your lips, actually only kissing the corner of the mouth is literally the worse. Ya'll are literally sharing air breathing all into each others mouths...kiss like your character means it! Sigh...end rant! Ummm, why did Gear come back!?! If Prince had at least called and apologized for being a jerk, I could see Gear forgiving him. But to show up the next day, with food, and not even have a convo about it. COME ON! Seriously, if Ping and Tap don't deliver next week, I think I'll cry.
This episode desperately needed a time skip. The book took place over weeks of them doing it and getting to know each other. After the cleaning scene would have been an amazing place to put a time skip, showing them actually being in a relationship to warrent that after club confession scene. I mean it didn't make sense for Yai to be that big mad without some kind of promise from Mangkorn, either through actions or words. They went from Mangkorn 'cheating' to hey I'll leave you alone if we do it one (many) more times, to making breakfast and being cold at first then loving...with zero clarification of their relationship status or confession of feelings. Okay, let's say they didn't have a time skip. The breakfast scene where Yai is pouting was an excellent spot to have Yai be like, 'Mangkorn, okay, that girl was your old gf, what am I to you? What are we doing here? We didn't like each other before, but we keep sleeping togwther, what is THIS!?' Then Mangkorn confesses his feelings, and they have the rest of what comes next. Sigh...such wasted potential. Cause MosBank are absolutely doing their jobs, it was the script writer/producers who fumbled the ball. I want more for my MosBank cause I love them together, especially in real life. Been watching their travel vlog for a while and knew they would be amazing on screen together cause they have a great friendship off screen. The only surprise is Bank's singing voice, which is amazing. How this OST isn't over a million views by now is nuts to me.
I have a love/hate relationship with Y Idol storyline. They are still doing an amazing job calling out thentoxic stuff about the entertainment field in general and the BL industry specifically. I will say I need to see Peek's actor play in at least one more thing cause I cannot tell if he can't act or its just because Peak isn't a good actor. Cause there are some scenes I don't mind him in. Like the pool scene where Kla is confessing but Peek is totally missing it. 🤣 Kla's actor though is very natural, so enjoy him. Together, the locker room scene was lovely. Now this episode had some confusing parts. The locker room scene, why was Achi mad at Peek? I thought the director gave more time cause the scene was going so well they wanted to get another angle, not cause Peek was messing up. Am I wrong? Also, why is NO ONE putting Achi in his place?! I mean, he WAS bullying Peek, trying to out him and Kla, so he kind of deserved a pop to the jaw...ijs. Then his temper tantrum was just...ugh. So why aren't the rest of them telling him to chill out, they had no problem telling Peek how awful they thought he was. Lastly, where those flash back scenes to Peek and Kla in university or fanfic within fanfic? I was so confused as to what was real and what part of theor past. Kla and Peek don't always act like they are friends, more like 2 dudes who got approached by agents and are still getting to know each other. How did they get shipped together at university to begin with? Were they friends? Was that bench scene real? If so, I still don't get their relationship. They were friends who share soda's maybe but aren't close enough to have each others back during the contest...so many questions.
Man that was a tough one. While they make Earth cry too much, you have to admit, he does it well. Sheesh. I would have liked to see him a real hum dinger of a break down. Like after Cale said his Mom was gonma be alright for the third time, he should have lost his shit and had a total meltdown. It would have made sense in that scene, cause he would be at the point where they realized there was no hope. I also would have liked to see them discussing with the mother what SHE wanted to do with her body and care, not just the kids. Maybe then, she could have explained why she didn't get help sooner. Loved the scene at the end with the best friends. Again, it would have been better if Eiw's mom had asked Cake's mom to take care of her kids. Her kids had no one but them she could entrust, she would have done that. Yeah, they are grown, but worrying about your kids never stops. WTF was that scene with Peak!? She literally has a dying mother in the room and he's like now is a great time to shoot my shot again!?!? If he had brought her out and said, 'I just wanted to check on you and see of you needed anything, can I do anything for, let me know and I'll do anything you need.' But THAT! That was so inappropriate for the circumstances. Sheesh! I needed one more episode of them being happy cause we didn't get but one episode that one started with them fighting! Next week has the funeral and daddy drama so I don't think I'm going to get that.... Petition for SantaEarth to be in a RomCom next cause I really REALLY need to see Earth in a role similar to how he is now. Maybe as a fashion designer to Santa's model. I beg the universe to make that happen. With a role of PP and Gun...
Hey, again!Pretty much where I'm sitting on this. The story, social commentary, character development, and worldbuilding…
Thanks for the suggestions, I will definitely check them out. Yeah, GMMTV has a ton of stars. And it looks like they just introduced a bunch more. They looked so cute! I want GMMTV to do a BL with OffGun, TayNew, EarthMix, and FirstKhaotung. Maybe even JoongDunk. They could literally do Thai version that Japanese BL The Man Stuck in the BL World (or something like that) It would be brillant and with how many stars they have, it would probably break the internet to have them all in one place. 🤣🤣 Add BillkinPP, who pop up at GMMTV from time to time and the ads alone would pay for a year of BL afterward! 🤣🤣🤣
This was an emotional rollercoaster of an episode. I really, really, REALLY wish Peat had worked hard with an acting coach for those crying scenes. Cause the script was immaculate for that scene and Fort was acting his behind off. What could have been an award winning scene was lost to bad acting. Also, the sound, ya'll!! Like come on!! The half an NC scene, where it was supposed to be pivotal in their relationship was damaged due to horrible sound quality and horrible editing. Who ever edited that literally cut off the last bit of his line, I am yours. Like why wouldn't they retake that!? Its literally a 'money shot', as in it had the potential to be rewatched and retweeted a million times if they hadn't messed it up. Otherwise, I loved the episode. I will say that FortPeat's chemistry/comfort level with each other isn't quite there for me. That make up scene where Peat is supposed to be in Fort's arms looks awkward to me. It lacked intimacy, especially for that scene. By that point in there relationship, their bodies should fit naturally/comfortably together. I loved that Pai didn't make Sky tell what happened to him. That he allowed him to do it in his own time. Sadly, Sky's explaination in no way indicated the level of abuse/trauma he experienced at the hands of his ex, so Pai is not going to be ready for the shit storm that is next week. Next week is going to be crazy hard. 1)Its over and I'm not ready! 2)Man, what it looks like Sky goes through is way worse than what PhayuRain went through and that was pretty bad, trauma wise...

Yes, I plan to binge Roomates tonight and YR2 this weekend. I'll peek into The Bastard Son just too see if I can hang! HEHE, I don't like scary stuff but love supernatural stuff and am okay with mild gore. Think Buffy the Vampire Slayer (huge favorite of mine) and Supernatural (which I need to finish one day) I also need to check out The Gifted. It has been on To Watch list forever. Honestly looking for some good non BL Thai dramas, so if you have any recommendations, I'll take them :) Yes, JJ and AJ are also under appreciated talent at GMMTV. They need a chance to star/ML as well. Hope you got some rest!
I really wish they had practiced the carrying, cause man that was awkward. I loved the words of the before love making scene but didn't really feel the emotion behind it, so it fell flat. Also, I BEG of BLs to stop doing the hand holding thing. If knew one thing about editing videos together, I would legit have an hour plus long movie of boys clasping hands to signify they are having sex. That is not a thing! Especially when they show it usually, during the foreplay. Just UGH!!! Okay, second rant on the tail end of that one. Can BLs also stop having people who are supposed to be the 'bottom' just lay there like a wet rag used in one of the required fever/spongebath scenes (not gonna rant about that, I'm tired from the first 2! But come on!🤣) Like sex is about 2 people wanting to connect physically. If one of them is lying there not participating, its sexual assault! Have we learned nothing from amazing NC scenes in Love In The Air!?! Heck even mousy Pharm kissed Dean back like he wanted it. Okay, end rant. Like I said, I liked that they talked before having sex, clarified their feelings for each other, especially Nhai, who needed to admit out loud that he DID like having sex with a man, and if he broke up with Ai, did that make him bi? Nhai's struggle with his sexuality is well explored amd I hope they keep up the dialogue. I just need Ping to look at Meen like he's the hot daddy he is, cause come on! Side Note, I HOPE we don't get much of In and Song. They had zero chemistry and I cringed through the whole scene.

Hey Lenny, I hope you have been doing great as well. Yeah its a GMMTV with Joss as a cop who has to go undercover a drag queen...It had all the amazing talent of Godji and Jenny but man it did not appeal at all. GMMTV definitely has a way of squashing good talent, like Fiat. He and his partner (don't know his name but he was a minor character in Enchante) stole the show for me in My Gear Your Gown. Fiat left and is now in a show with Na who is a great actor, called Wish Me Luck. I cannot wait for Young Royals 2.
If Peak was actually winning with his antics, I could be hear for it. I mean look at Achi, he is more subtle but just as dirty, if not more with the robo voting. But everytime Peak loses, its like, sir! You cannot act, you cannot sing, what are you even here for!? Find another way to make money for your family, cause this isn't it. Also, why oh WHY did I have to listen to so much bad singing. Only Kla amd Most could actually sing and Most was missing them high notes. Just why!?!?! Also, the acting isn't doing it for me, except for Kla and Achi. Other than that...sigh. I see why Billy Seng were first cause if they had led with the last 2 stories, no one would keep watching. We were given a well acted, story driven, chemistry filled start and we keep hoping it will come back. We did not learn our lesson from Y Destiny. I also see why they put ToruFirst last. Clever of them...
I need Tap to wake up and realize Ping means more to him than just 'friends'. I like that Ping is respectful of Tap's 'feelings' for Namwan. As far as he knows, his friend likes someone. And instead of trying to get in the way or acting mean toward Namwan, he's just removing himswlf from the situations, for his own sanity but also so his friend can continue to make his moves. Yes, we would all love it if he confessed. And he migbt have worked up the courage had Tap not started to pursue Namwan. Ping is respecting that boundry and I really like that. Now it will have to be up to Tap to hunt Ping down and make him talk. Hopefully, he'll figure out he likes Ping first. I'm on Fah and especially Gear's side this week. I get having a platonic friend who you treated like this pre boyfriend's but in this delicate first part of the relationship, they should both put that on the back burner. Fah is still insecure in this relationship cauae Sher still acts like they aren't together. Of course he wouldn't like someone else behaving like a boyfriend to his guy, when he is barely allowed to. And Gear!! He had a right to be upset, and even more so to express it. Prince should have said, I'm sorry you are uncomfotable, you know our relationship is platonic. I care about your feelings so I will try to tone it down. That was all they really wanted. Gear has been incredibly patient, and Prince has hardly shown he likes Gear. So all them tears at the end don't make sense. I was rooting for them, but Prince irritated me this episode.Next week seems hella messy, so I am here for it!
Someone else said it, but I'll reiterate that if you read the book, you'll understand the story a bit better. The book mostly takes place from Yai's point of view. And it mostly seems that Mangkorn is playing with him, using him for sex. The book also focuses on Yai giving over to the fact that he likes a man, sexually and then emotionally. Its later revealed that Mangkorn also waa on the struggle bus with his feelings. Added with the pressure of having to be engaged against his will, he did some crappy stuff to Yai. But what is missing from this, and what was played sooo well in KinnPorsche is that Mangkorn and Yai cannot resist each other. It shows a bit in the series, like at the skate park. They need to show Mangkorn's feeling better. I imagine he went with Cherry to kind of 'prove' he was still straight and that these new feelings, outside of sex, for a man were some sort of fluke. It would have made better sense if he had seen Yai amd Nine talking and THAT was the reason he hooked up with Cherry, out of jealousy.
Hey, again!Pretty much where I'm sitting on this. The story, social commentary, character development, and worldbuilding…
Hey Friend!! Yes, totally agree! I hope Neo and Louis will finally get to lead as they have proven they can carry a show acting wise, with the right script. AJ did his thing too. I love how GMMTV, mostly (I didn't watch the straight cop goes into drag show, cause ugh!), makes sure to represent the LGBTQ population more responsibly these days.
