Man, Kidnap was terrible. Everyone focused on OhmLeng's off screen chemistry and no one talked about how Leng could not act and their off screen chemistry did not come across on screen. Then they lost the plot of the show almost immediately. I finished that one under diress! Gmmtv has definitely been lacking, but I liked this show and I'm liking Perfect 10 Liners. Although everyone seems to prefer PerthSanta, I liked all the stories so far and all the couples. It was well done this time. I'm hoping that this year will not be as bad as last year. Heart Killers was another one that disappointed me, and I love everyone involved usually, but this did not promise what it said it would give.
I have seen social media gone crazy over this series and i was so sure that i will enjoy this one. However, i…
1) I absolutely love your profile name! 2) I agree that GMMTV, especially shows that have been on recently have just been meh, but I really like this one. This is hyped for a reason. The chemistry is there between WilliamEst. The OST is great too, mainly due to having a real idol group. Now was the acting immaculate, especially from the idol group, nope. This was obviously their first series, and I'll give them grace, cause their main talents lie in singing and dancing, at least for now. The story was refreshing and new. But for me, what really stood out and it may be why you didn't like it, was the slow paced romance. It does take forever for them to get together, but in a very real and normal people way. No falling in love after 3 interactions with each other and then falling into an NC scene. The audience gets to see them slowly get to know each other and fall in love. I'll admit, that personally, I'm a sucker for how both William and Est speak so softly and gentle to each other, in this series but also in general. But I definitely agree that GMMTV often gets a pass on the most basic of series, like We Are. That show really frustrated me, because it was good at the beginning but so lame by the end and there were so many episodes too! Anyway, always nice to see a fellow STAY also like BL.
These episodes are too dang short!!! Also, if they want to break us into a million pieces, just have William sing a slow sad song, cause apparently that works every time. I really hope the MARS diary gets subtitles, cause it took up so many minutes of the last part and I didn't even get to watch it. Mick's character has been a wild card this whole time. First he was painted a lazy employee who passed his work on to whoever was close by, then he was Pemika's minion who was not to be trusted and now he was the MVP bring up the save at the last minute. I'm glad he got Po fired, although, I always thought it was crazy that Po kept working for her when she gave him the directors job just to prove her point. I really wanted him to be like, "actually, yes, I do want to be a director, but not for a company like this, who lies and manipulates. " Then he walks out dramatically. Lastly, that scene where Po was reading the letter from Thame and Thame begs him not to let go of his hand as they show Po doing exactly that along with Est crying expertly on the the letter was a work of art and another thing designed to break us into a million pieces. Not GMMTV being like "oh you guys are predicting "episode 11" as being the break up/sad episodes, well how about we add an additional sad episode that make the previous episode even sadder. They DO know how to torture me.
This would have been alright it if wasn't for all the over the top NC scenes and some of the unhinged behavior of Pony. Now I get that her character is meant to be comedy and for the most part it was. I didn't mind the slap stick parts but the parts where she is literally like 2 inches form their junks was too much. It was the same problem with the NC scenes. Like what in the world?! The main couple's and even the side couples stories could have been really cute if it wasn't for all that extra garbage taking away from it. It literally had the bones for an cute little low budget bl, but in trying to do camp, they ruined the plot. I just realized what I think this was trying to achieve but failed at. A John Water's film. I LOVE John Waters, I think he is a genius writer and director. But not everyone can make his type of film successfully. And even some of his early stuff was too much for me before he found a balance. One thing I liked about this show that no other Thai-Korean cross over series has done well, is the language barrier. Sangmin speaking Thai like someone who knows enough to get by, but still needs some translations was done really well here. And everyone else NOT speaking Korean except for a friend who lived there made so much sense, unlike Eccentric Romance where people literally studying both languages featured no one speaking the language they were in college to learn. Any way, this was okay, but could have been sooo much better. Skipping the NC scenes are kind of must to finish this though.
Faifa had THE best lines this episode. "You make my heart flutter so much, how could I hate you." Like COME ON! Looking forward to seeing how they progress.
I donโt know what other ending one could expect from this story. Itโs a complex human dramaโambiguous and…
Hmm, not sure where I criticized this show. I just said it would have been nice to get a bit more of a fleshed out story. I actually really liked the ending and thought it suited them, I just wanted more before that, like in a special episode, months or years later, to see where they are in their relationship. This wasn't a complex relationship, or at least, this series did not show it's complex sides, which is kind of what I wanted more of. This was literally a story of two guys who weren't getting sex at home and decided to hook up, and after they hooked up caught feelings, but were dating other people and had to get that part of their lives sorted out. While we get to see them become friends, we never see why they were attracted to each other outside of being horny. It would have been nice to see the relationship develop with out the pressures of "needing sex" as well as cheating on people. But like I said, I enjoyed the story for what it was, I just don't think this was complex. It's honestly a tale as old as time.
GMMTV says all sad scenes must be on the roof apparently. That being said, after that scene, I was irritated at the after break up scenes. I needed cut into all those scenes of them all performing and working happily with out a care in the word, seemingly, them being unhappy behind the scenes, mostly alone, but sometimes with each other, because while they are getting opportunities they wanted, it isn't coming how they envisioned it, together. I needed to see Pepper looking longingly at pictures of Gam. I needed more of Thame and Po missing each other and being devastated they cannot be together. I definitely glad they threw in that last scene, but I wanted more, to really hit home the sacrifices idols make for fans and how we may see them smiling and laughing and playing around on stage and in public, but the demand of them to choose one thing over another is devastating to them and that needs to change. I do not care if my idols date or have a million passions they want to pursue, as as fan, we should just support them in all they do as long as they are happy. The show missed a golden opportunity to convey that and lay a guilt trip on all those crazy fans who lose their shit when they find out a idol is dating, especially if it's outside the ship. I will say that William and especially Est did an amazing job on the roof top scene. This was one of the most episode 11 of all the episode 11's. I am glad we get 13 episodes and that it doesn't end next week, trying to resolve this episodes issues. I want one more episode to see them living happily together.
This show needed one more episode or at least a 45 minute last episode. I just needed a bit more. Otherwise, I enjoyed the story. I did want to see a bit more emotion from Sei and honestly for a show that was about the lack of intimacy, I wanted more displays of intimacy from them. Even if it was passing touches or longing gazes. And honestly, the NC scene was meh for the plot of the series. This show needed a At the End of the World with You kind of NC scene, just once. Especially during their first time. Out side of that, I enjoyed this. It was a quick little series to fly through in one go. Definitely glad I waited to watch this til it was over. I do hope we get a special, that would round this series out nicely.
I'm actually glad that the parallel worlds actually exist now. I was worried because it didn't make sense to have a character who could truly read minds, but no real science fiction main plot of parallel worlds. It just fits better into what genre this story is supposed to be in. Poor Phu, having to deal with his grief over his dad as well as his feeling for Cirrus was so sad. It was really nice they got Tong back to play Thorn! It was a nice tie in that, although not necessary, was a nice addition to help cement that this was in the same kind of world as TharnType. This story is refreshing in that you never know which direction the story line is going, so I cannot wait to see what happens now that the other Cirrus is back and how it all ties together. Also the second couple are doing their job. They are complete adorbs and I cannot wait to see Wim soften for Jin.
Why are y'all acting like you didn't drop your mouth at Boss's ass in those leathers in the kitchen? I cannot…
MAME has been making sure that those pants fit tight and that he is always pointing that Thang at the camera! I've noticed it in every episode!๐๐ I knew he was thicc, but had not idea he was THAT thicc! ๐๐๐
I hope that delusional fans saw this episode and reevaluated their priorities in life. Fern crying in the bathroom, being up set just because he had a girlfriend is CRAZY to me. And I do not care about the ludicrous thought of being afraid the idol will no longer love you. Girl, are you crazy!? Like I seriously just told my husband today that After my children, then him, next comes Stray Kids as my favorites. I literally was screaming today about new concert footage from them and I and trying to decide what kind of tattoo I want to get of them. Like I STAN them, you understand. And when I tell you any one of them, including my bias could come out right this minute and tell me they are dating and I would JUST BE HAPPY FOR THEM. Like that is all I want from my idols, for them to be happy. Because I get happiness from them. Imagine being so delulu into to thinking a grown man would stay a pristine virgin for the rest of his life just because he is supposed to love his fans?! I loved Bifern up until that scene. Poor Pepper. Them holding hands behind the table to give Pepper strength to make it through the press conference broke my heart. And that CEO lady is EVIL! I don't know how they are going to get away from her but I am anxious about next week.
Ahhh, the last episode and much like the entire series, this last episode was up and down for me. I do like that they got to serve their entire time in jail. While I get that Mother is the reason they killed, they were technically serial killers and 5 years is a pretty light sentence for murdering lots o'people. I found it crazy that Style and Kant could just come in week after week, disappear with a inmate and no one was ever the wiser. Even on the down low, it was kind of obvious. That being said, I thought the jail scenes were cute. I loved that we got to see them all survive the 5 years apart. Now we get to the stupid part...Mother comes back outta no where to kidnap the brother and the father, holds them hostage at gun point, summons the 4 of them, demand they poison each other, watches as her bodyguards get over taken and then maybe dies from the poison she was forcing on them. Like, I get she buy her way out of jail, but wouldn't they have seized her assets? She said she lost her reputation and connections, which would be the only thing that would get her out of prison with such a strong case against, so where did she get the money to get outta prison? Also, we are to believe that she is dead, cause they never show her die? It maybe a set up for a second season, but it's kind of stupid. And the most stupid plot point of all...Babe and the Dad witness that their loved ones are involved with killers and have therefore been kidnapped by someone they kill for. Then they watch those same guys over power armed gun men, shoot one at least and then turn around and make the woman who kidnapped you, take the poison she threatened to kill you with. And they NEVER have a feeling about it? The Father just accepts that Fadel is a serial murder and that is all these young females. That whole part was crazy. The end was very rom com-y, not much to say about it, it ended cute.
Just finished. Imagine the power this would have with a longer format?! The acting was great, the plot was also good. If this was a full story, this would be one of the best of the year. I do hope this gets made into a full series.
Say what you want but man one thing you can never say about BossNoeul is that they don't have off the charts chemistry. They are so good together that sometimes you forget they are acting in the NC scene. It's the fact that MAME said these scenes are almost all them, she just gives the frame work. That being said, I am looking forward to seeing them take down the mother, cause she cra-cra!
The only part that made me mad was the mother part. As a momma of 4, there is literally nothing on this planet that would make me leave my kids, start a new family, split up my old family and then claim it was because I needed an excuse to come back and see my old family. Like WHAT?! Who wrote that!? Poor Newton, she didn't even consider him in her decisions and then when she was saying goodbye, she was like, take care of the other ones, cause I love them. Like lady, WTF?! I also don't like that they invalidated what Yotha was feeling for the sake of his mother's feelings. She can abandon him and do nothing to repair the relationship in all those years, but he isn't allowed to still dislike her because her feelings might be hurt?! Make it make sense. I ended up fast forwarding through Yotha forgiving her, cause just no. Other than that, it was a super cute ending to their part. I am dying to get into Faifa and Wine's story. I love Faifa (him laughing at Gun filling out the form with all that personal information made me laugh so hard), so I'm looking forward to seeing how their story pans out. Side note: AouBoom main leads when?! They have literally stolen the show in all three of the series they have been in, they have more than proven that they can carry a whole series by themselves. Honestly, as much as I enjoy all the MLs in this particular series, I would much rather watch a series with them. They deserve to be the leads.
Once again this series has me feeling all over the place about how good it is. What was that whole Lilly plot!? She used to be a hitman but cannot tell when she is getting played and trapped by two newbies? And the two newbies who don't have a tiny bit of history with violence are capable of taking in a murderer? I mean, I get she is short and stout, but she WAS a hitman who trained other hitman. She had to have been good at her job as well as smart to run the business she ran while going undetected for so long. And at no part of the party plan involved leaving Fadel and Bison home and having the COPS being in the stall to arrest her? Like what was the thought process behind that whole scene? And then we don't even get the satisfaction of seeing her locked up, her business shut down, Keen seeing it all and getting to be with his boyfriend. Just her, the lady who was kind of badass, looking pathetic in a bathroom with a mechanic and a tattoo artist. That first part frustrated the crap out of me. But then we get to Captain Sexy Pants in a towel and well, things can be overlooked...maybe. ๐๐ I liked that Fadel and Bison had to go to jail. It makes sense, they were, in fact, murderers, even if was under Mother's lifelong manipulation. I also like that they got to spend the day together, just being them and enjoying each other. And I really appreciate that they didn't have a sex scene for them. Even though, I think it could have been really well done there, for both of them, because of all the high emotional scenes during their last 24 hours together, I preferred that it was just them feeling their feelings and saying what they were thinking to each other. Getting vulnerable with each other, especially Fadel. He had to repress so much of what he was feeling that it was hard to say that Style like the "true" Fadel as he never really got a chance to see Fadel be his authentic self. And they acknowledge that and showed that Style still like morbid, quirky Fadel just as much as he liked smoking hot dancing in a strip club Fadel. I was so happy to see that Bison and Kant exchanged tattoos, I was nervous when they spent so much time in the museum we wouldn't get to see at least Kant tattooing Bison. Lastly, all the feels. Joong crying while eating (there is something about when someone does that, that kills me. I think it's because it has to been near impossible to eat while crying and so if you are doing it, you are truly going through something devastating. (ie. in MODC when Xiang Hao Ting got caught making out with Yu Xi Gu and they had to be separated. Hao Ting eating the noodles his sister brings him while he worries about Xi Gu and bawls literally destroys me every time) Then you have First who like Khao are expert criers. Him trying to hold back while Bison/Khao walks away, and holding Style who finally lets all the positivity go and is a literal mess while he also tries not to completely break down....man that scene will be with me for a minute. All in all, except for the first part with Mother, it was a great episode. I am looking forward to next week but sort of sad it is ending. This show was all over the place for me, so I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. hopefully the ending doesn't go astray...
Ending was super sweet, I love that the dad apologized sincerely for his behavior. I just wish it wasn't written off as "his love for Teerak." I'm also not a huge fan of the "because you are gay, you'll never get a "perfect" life, but never mind, as long as you are happy, it's all good" lines. Like bruh, what is perfect? Any and all relationships are so individual and different there is no such thing as the perfect family. As long as love, respect, caring and happiness exist with in the relationship and the home, than it is a perfect family. Outside of that, it was cute. Thomas and Kong did a great job being it was their first series. Of course I see room for improvement, but hopefully they will get that with time. I always feel that with Domundi they prioritize chemistry and quality NC scenes. While it's never my necessary "thing" to make a show good or not, if they are in a series, then it has to be good, or it ruins the whole show. What Domundi exceeds at is even if their actors are green, any obviously never done this before on camera, they aren't going to be put on camera until the actors are and comfortable on screen. I appreciate that, because it feels like they work hard to make sure that even though they (Domundi) lean toward the sexier, more intimate, more risquรฉ NC scenes, their actors are okay with doing it. It never feels forced and therefore awkward. AuauSave were hella cute, looking forward to seeing their growth as actors and seeing them in their own series. But I will admit, that Por often stole all his scenes for me. He reminds me of Copter so much, both in looks and the way this character at least carried himself. I really look forward to seeing what he will get to do in the future. All in all, a cute series from Domundi. I am anxiously waiting for The Next Prince, I hope it lives up to the hype. I also REALLY want to see NetJJ in something, even as a side couple, just to see their own scree chemistry. I'll admit to not quite being sold on their offscreen chemistry quite yet, but it's not because I prefer James (Although, they did have amazing chemistry and frankly James made a mistake, cause he cannot sing! There I said it, it's just my opinion, but man...). It's goes back to my belief that Domundi works hard on the chemistry and connection between their pairings and I sense hesitancy in JJ.... Net is smoking hot and frankly James matched the hell out of that. I'm not sure JJ is there yet or will ever be, but it would be nice to see if he could.
Sometimes, these shows remind of how truly American I am. That whole story line with the Dad pissed me off, but probably not for the reasons it pissed most people off. I'm actually glad they showed a parent not accepting it at first. It is more realistic and created some interesting dynamics to the story and the characters. However, they ruined it by not actually showing enough of how much times have changed as well has not using the AMAZING opportunity this story line had of demonstrating Teerak's actual growth as a character. He started the series off being unable to stand up for himself and therefore getting himself in to situations where he experienced real life danger. It wasn't until his relationship with Fah that he was supposed to be changing and growing and learning it was okay to do what you want, to speak up for yourself and basically stand on business. Well here come the end his Dad has a violent outburst of a temper tantrum, that was honestly scary because he pushed away both his wife, daughter, and his father. He then proceeds to micromanage Rak and honestly keep him hostage except for school. It would have been AMAZING to see instead of Mom and Babe being timid and scared of him and unwilling to speak their piece, if they would show that the mother and daughter's value in that home was more than just "a woman's place" and that they had the right to speak up on Rak's behave without being silenced. I wanted the Mother to tell her husband how ashamed she was of him for his behavior and how he was treating her son and how she would not tolerate it. That was her house too and that is her son, she has a say in what is best for him and all of that the father was doing was NOT it. It would have been so much better if instead of everyone tiptoeing around the father and his big feelings, they would have expressed their feelings on how he was treating Rak. And yes, I KNOW I'm not watching an American drama and yes I know that that is not how it happens in Asian households. I am black and believe it or not, and alot of the ways families relate in both cultural constructs are so similar. So I GET it! I'm not saying they should have (at least the kids) talked back or been disrespectful. But take the dinner scene for example, when Rak tried to not sit at first and his dad called him childish for not staying. I wish Rak would have taken a small but respectful dig on which of them was acting childish, maybe referring to the fact that he hasn't once had an outburst about the way he feels, unlike some people. And he could have either walked off or sat but refuse to eat. The thing that bothered so much was they set his father up to be the kind of character who would absolutely be bothered by the fact that his bubbly, sweet son turned cold and distant. That he stopped eating. That he never wanted to be around his father anymore. The garden scene where the Dad asked to help in a effort to "get back to being father and son", instead of Rak trying to "explain" (explain what, that you like dudes and you are dating one, what else is there to explain!?) that scene would have been more impactful for me if Rak just simply said no thank you, I'm done and walked away. Because again they set that character up to FEEL the weight of that action. That would have hurt him so much AND most importantly, it would have shown how much Rak has grown as a character! It would be subtle and non confrontational, like Rak truly is, but it would have had the same impact as him shouting at his dad, BECAUSE it isn't something he would have done before and his father would know and recognize that. It would have been amazing if Rak was just like, nope, I'm not coming home, let me stay with Fah for a while til my dad pulls his head out of his ass. If for no other reason, than for safety. That first tantrum Rak leaving and protecting himself from his father. Another move that would have killed the rest of his family and made them put pressure on the dad to get his shit together. If they had done those things to show how much Rak has changed, how much he has grown as a person, how much he no longer needs to rely on his sister to take care of him and how he was now capable of standing up for himself, at the end, when the dad came to the school and Rak started explaining how Fah has taught him to value himself and his needs more, it would have been this aha moment for Dad and as well as the audience cause we would see that yes, he has changed so much from the beginning of the series. Sorry for the long winded rant, it was just I liked this show up until now for the most part, so when it came to this, obviously, I have big feelings. It just reminded me that sometimes, my western viewpoint and privilege makes watching these shows hard. I still love them, but every once in a while, I'll be reminded that this is not a world in which I live in. I'm also over the whole parents are disappointed that their child is gay trope. Disappointed for what? Losing out on grandchildren, I assume? Let's say they have the perfect heterosexual family and lifestyle. In this day and age, most couple don't want to have kids nor are they having them. So disappointed for what? What did you lose out on? You were never entitled to it in the first place! This is coming from a mama of 4, I only expect my kids be happy and responsible adults. That's it. Other than that, this is there life, the same way this is mine and they are the ones who have to live it. I only have one more episode to watch but this kind of ticked me off, so I'm probably going to have to watch a few minutes of a comfort BL and then head to bed instead of trying to finish this series. Again, sorry for the long winded rant. I'm done now. ๐๐
I really hope the MARS diary gets subtitles, cause it took up so many minutes of the last part and I didn't even get to watch it.

Then you have First who like Khao are expert criers.
