Just when I was getting slightly annoyed that the story was circling back to the same old same old, bam! Earthquake and huge movement story wise! Emotionally, I am feel all over the place. Pissed at Hua Yong for continuing to manipulate Shaou You. That line about always getting his consent should have hit Hua Yong in the face for what happened last week, but he continued to be sly with his shit. I get that technically he wasn't in control of himself at the time either, but I would have loved to see HY feel guilty or remorse for doing that to SY with out his consent. Not that I totally understand his whole plan, yet, maybe it was all intentional, which would suck. Then I was frustrated with SWL because DUDE, I'm not asking you to recognize Gao Tu as an Omega, but can you at least recognize that you have feelings for him?! He cannot fart without you being all up in his Kool- Aid! But also, can you not hear yourself talking to him? It is so rude and disrespectful all the time. We get it, you don't like Omegas, but they exist. On top of that, the "Beta" you lambast every minute of every day is also your friend, supposably, and just trying to survive, cut him so slack! Side note, are Enigma's immortal in this world? Cause HY pulling REBAR out of his body and acting like he cannot die was crazy to watch. Also, how SLOW are the rescue services? HY had time to call for help, the NEWS reported on it and they had a full fledge argument, and no one came in, not one fire fighter or medical team? Not HY's personal rescue team, nothing? I'm excited and honestly anxious for the next episode cause they always manage to end on a cliff hanger and I really want to know if we will get pregnancy new next week...
Well that was terrible. I actually liked Max and Nat's other series, but this was just...bad. I loved these characters in Y Destiny, so I was excited to see them come back. The body switch plot is not my favorite, but it definitely fits with Y Destiny's quirky plots, so I was open to the show. I like that they were going to deal with impotence, a subject not covered very often. I also like that they were going to be playing with gender roles and switching things up in that respect as well. They had everything they needed to make a half way decent show...and yet... First, I actually think Max did a great job acting in this role. I believed him when he switched to Nuea. Nat...not so much. Acting wise, he seems to be getting worse, which doesn't make sense. Second, the whole point of body switching, that was done well in Our Sky with OffGun, is to learn about your partner on a truly deeper level. The one who needed the biggest lesson was Nuea, and he didn't learn anything really. He just complained and whined alot. Now, that is the original character of Nuea in Y Destiny, but it would have been amazing if he had had some character development. If not before this, then at least from this whole series. And Sun saying that Nuea had it hard...well no he didn't. Glam lesson means his life is hard?! He literally spent most of the series partying and being drunk and then being selfish. How is his life hard? What was Sun supposed to learn from him? They brought back these characters only to make me dislike one and pity they other...what was the point? By episode 5, I was skipping heavily and I don't usually do that, even if the series is mid. It was nice to see First and Talay and Pee in their roles again. Talay needs way more work, he is missed. And FINALLY seeing Earth play a character he was destined to play, outside of his usual (I actually love Earth in all his roles, but I knew this type of character would be done amazingly by him). I want to know who was in charge of costumes. Cause everyone buy Max and Nat's were good and since they are the leads, that doesn't make any sense at all. Anyway, I cannot really recommend this one. Normally, I can find something about the story that makes it okay enough to give it a shot. But honestly...it's not really worth it. Unless you want to see the old characters again or Earth looking and acting fabulously, this is definitely a okay one to skip. I pray that the next series Max and Nat are supposed to be with Domundi will be better. I need someone to make Nat go through intensive workshops for acting because he is so inconsistent that it detracts from the series. I also need who ever is in charge of Copy A Bangkok to get their thoughts together. They usually have great ideas and sometimes it works and works really well and then something will get thrown in and make the whole thing crap.
I thought this was a great ending to this series. Would I rather they did just a few things differently in this last episode to really end it well, sure, but overall, I loved this show. The loved that they didn't do a fake out and let Nin win the match on the strength of his skill. And I loved that Ramil finally stood up to his dad and they didn't give them some moment where the dad redeems himself some how. Ramil acknowledging that he will never not be a prince in a royal court, but as far as his allegiance to his father, that was over. The scene on the beach was so raw and emotional. But their relationship and all they have been through up until that point warranted Ramil's breakdown. Jimmy looked like he went somewhere dark to let that out, so I commend him for that scene. I do wish at the end, instead of showing the ads throw conversations and the picnic, they had used a montage to show how everyone was doing. It would have been nice to see what happened to RamilPaytai, Ava and even CalvinJay (who I cared absolutely nothing about). A montage would have gone a long way to showing them all working toward their goals and being happy after all the drama. So that in the end, when Ran proposes, it wouldn't have felt as premature or out of no where as it did. I also wanted them to speak a little faster when Ran quit to allow time for him to explain that he was quitting the tradition of being the family bodyguard because he would like to marry Nin when he was done with school and and wanted to ask permission. Again, that would have made the ending scene a more solid ending. No notes on the NC scene, as always, it was really beautifully shot. I will say never did I think I would EVER see ZeeNunew in a scene like THAT one. No the ending kiss that never seemed to end, I could have done without. It worked in Cutie Pie because that scene was trying to declare LGBTQ rights, especially marriage rights. But here, it was just too much. I would have rather they used some of the time to show the other couples before this scene, and then end it with the big kiss. Although, not CalvinJay. The series hardly showed them, so I did not feel any sort of connection to their characters together or separate. And that kiss...Domundi knows better. This series was kind of a soft launch for NetJJ and well...as far as I'm concerned, they failed. I'll admit to being disappointed when NetJames split, because they had amazing chemistry. But I am also not delulu and was excited to see what NetJJ would do. Watching them try and build chemistry was painful to watch. It seems like Net knew what to do and was trying but JJ seemed resistant to the whole shipping culture. Which is fair...unless you are trying to build a ship from scratch. And the previous ship was crazy compatible on and off screen. But still, I thought, well if they gel well on screen then I'll be able to watch their stand alone series. Well this tanked that hope. Individually, I think both are great actors. But together...as a ship...nope. That kiss showed me all I needed to know. It was awkward and passionless, especially for a confession scene. And normally, I would blame the script or the director, but the rest of the show is really, really well done. The words were there. It felt like a really simple scene, emotion wise. Still...meh. Anyway, I really thought this show lived up to the hype and all the hard work they obviously put into it. Now do I wish they do a special episode with an Emmalian wedding...absolutely! The costuming alone would make it worth it!
This show is so good. I really need them to release all the episodes at once so that I can binge. Or at least go back to 3 a week. Time goes by too quickly!
I am so relieved they kept my boy Chakri alive. I don't care about grandpa, even though he apologized. And I am here for Paytai calling Ramil a coward and leaving him. I kept screaming at the screen, "If you step on his face, you bastard...!" It was such a low moment and so very heartbreaking. I know why Ramil did it, it was so clear that a life time of fear was right at his throat and he was paralyzed with fear. But if no other time existed for him to stand up to his father and take whatever punishment he got, this was it. It wouldn't have mattered if Paytai still received a beating, as long as Ramil refused to be apart of it, it would have been okay. I'm hoping that Ramil will finally stand up to his father by way of intentionally losing the fencing competition. It's literally the only way I could see him redeeming himself in Paytai's eyes. Side note: what was even the point of mentioning Calvin. We knew when he got called back he was in trouble. And with out seeing Jay feeling some type of way that Calvin was in trouble, it doesn't really matter. Not that I care too much about this couple, but if they are supposed to be a 3rd couple...then maybe trying to advance their story even a tiny bit would have been good. Especially with literally only one episode left. Side Side Note: I love 2 scenes especially this last episode. Nunew's fresh face and soft hair when they practiced fencing. His face looked a little more round and it was sooo soft looking and cute! And I also loved the bed scene where Nin was unable to sleep from worry. When Ran opened his arms and Nin laid on his chest, and then visibly relax, it was another soft moment that I really appreciated. It definitely looked more like ZeeNunew than RanNin, but either way it was one of my favorite scenes this episode. The only thing that I would say is lacking in this series overall is Tharin's calm accepting nature. It comes across as disingenuous. He was denied seeing his wife and child before they had to flee. He lost his wife and was told his son died. He wasn't allowed to make any true changes in his position because his father was power crazy. He finally gets his son back but that child is basically a stranger to him. And we're saying that he isn't mad even a little bit. It would have been so nice to see him lose his shit at his father when his dad was apologizing. Even knowing his dad probably wasn't going to make it, there wasn't really a reason to not tell that old man he ruined alot of lives, whether he meant to or not, and that once Khanin wins he would be changing everything. But the way he talks to Khanin now just seems like he's tricking Nin to think he is supporting him, to get what he wants. I wanted to see him grieve, if just for a moment, what all he lost, just so that we know that he is for real when he says he will make changes. Seriously though, outside of that, this was a series that lived up to what it set out to do. Mandee should be proud of what they put out for us all to enjoy. Now I just need them to put even half this amount of energy into their other series.
What even was this ending?! I am disappointed. The writer and director and production team let us down. I don't fault the actors, they just acted out that hot mess to the best they could. First, I liked the warehouse "get Tony out of here scene". Willy's scene was sick AF. So was KimKenta's scene. I loved the idea of Charlie taking Tony's power and that being the way to kill him. But it would have been nice to show that Tony actually died all the way. And that Charlie really absorbed Tony's powers fully. After the drone shot of everyone grieving after it looked like Charlie dies they should have zoomed back to Charlie breathing again. It would have just tied that scene together better for me. Same with Alan. I knew he had strong powers but not regenerative powers. So when he was shot, just like they did with Kenta, showing that Alan can heal would have made the part where Jeff is able to lift Alan back up and they stare at each other make much better sense and would have flowed better. Why was Winner allowed to just walk away?! No dying in the shoot out, no getting imprisoned, not even the beating he was given in season 1?! He deserved something other than getting away with it. At least sic Willy on him. Pete and Chris didn't make sense to me. Pete did not spend as much time with Way as he did Chris, so why would he have a hard time forgetting him. They didn't even date really in season one. It felt more like Pete was beginning to like Way and it was sad that Way died in the end. But Pete not being over Way after years is crazy. I understood Chris' concerns and they made sense, but when he walked away, it should have ended with Pete finally showing some emotions and begging Chris to stay with him. North and Sonic might as well have not been in this season. It was fine when last season it was more like do they or don't they like each other. They could have left it that and I would have been fine because they were the comic relief and it worked. But they were nope, we'll advance their relationship...only to give us an almost entire season of them being sulky at each other, not communicating and when they finally get together, the worst kisses. It's almost like Michael and Topten are afraid to kiss each other. I know Michael can kiss on screen from him previous works, but so far haven't seen any real chemistry between these two that would make them a good ship in my eyes. And their pathetic kissing in literally every scene they did it in was proof. When Sonic left to go back to school, it was super cute, I like that scene, it was very them, especially from the first season, so the kiss could maybe be forgiven. But when Sonic came back and it was a peck and a hug and that was it...no passion, no evidence that they truly missed each other. Disappointing. Alan and Jeff. That whole tub scene was weird. The writers knew that Alan's choices needed to be addressed but decided that Jeff would be easy going about the whole thing and it would be no big deal that Alan betrayed not only the groups trust but especially Jeff's. Terrible writing. And it ended with yet another pathetic kiss for a season/series finale. And we know SailubPon can kiss, so this obviously was a director's choice. KentaKim. Another couple that did not need to be if this was how they were going to end them. They honestly didn't even need to bring Kim back. Kenta could have been rescued by Pete and their friendship could have been reconciled. Once again, it's like GarfieldBenz don't like to kiss each other. I noticed it in their other series, but this time it was obvious. They never kissed exactly on the mouth, it's always off to the side, which is weird AF. But okay, that scene was cool and well acted, so they are going to get a happy ending, right? Especially Kenta because Kim literally says he won't leave him behind. Kenta finally found someone to love and care for him, which was the whole point of them in season 2, right?! Nope, Kim's like gots ta go, see you later, don't be a stranger. And that was it. I kept waiting for Kim to ask Kenta to come with him to Korea, then it would have been a perfect ending. But nope, just Kenta standing there looking sad and alone with literally no where to go or be with. WTF! Finally Babe Charlie. They wasted time with the whole Charlie still doesn't remember part. Charlie could have had the memory rush while asleep after Babe asks "Mama" to come back. And just as Babe is getting to walk away, sad that Charlie still isn't awake, Charlie wakes up and they could have had that whole scene that happened in the car...only better. To have Charlie not remember Babe for a whole other year and when he finally remembers, you get a pathetic kiss (seemed to be the theme of the last episode) and then a race back to tell the friends. If anything, it should have been them getting out of the car to hug and cry and heap love on each other. It should have been Babe saying how scared he was that Charlie would never remember them and they would never get the wedding they wanted. And it should have been Charlie saying sorry to Babe for forgetting and that he never truly did he was just lost for awhile, or some such. Then Charlie promising that they would have the future they wanted together finally. Cut to beautiful wedding scene. The end. Except, why were Tony and Winner and all them there? I get that it was supposed to be a CharlieBabe turned into a celebration of gay marriage in Thailand to a celebration of the end of the series, but it was just weird. It didn't fit, not with them still show the "ships" like they were in the show. I did like that they included the certificates though, that was beautiful. Overall, it was a great series in the beginning of season 2 but after they had Alan betray the group it never recovered and I was really hopeful they would recover at the end, but nope it was just wasted time. It should have been longer to answer questions and to see where everyone ended up. Did they take the skill nullifying potion or didn't they. Did they remove the chip from Alan and Kenta? What happened to Willy, where did he go and what is he doing now with his life? What about Tony's lab and operation? Did they shut it down, what about all the immoral rich people and their plans to poison poor people? How's Charlie's body with now having absorbed 3 people's powers? Obviously Tony's power did not help with the memory loss from Jeff's power. Will having three powers wear Charlie down too much? So many unanswered questions. I really wish this show/series had ended better.
I'm seriously over these pointless end of season weddings, let me explain. We all love a good wedding in a series…
The reason why weddings at the end of Thai Bls are so "in" right now is because they now finally can. Once it became legal in Thailand, a pretty big deal, of course the series that, honestly, through their popularity in Thailand and internationally, probably led to the passing of the legalization of gay marriage in Thailand, would show it in every series that came out this year. So is it necessary. I say at least in 2025, yes they should get to hold space for that amazing right that they literally just aquired.
This was a great episode, all the pieces coming together, the action and suspense. I always knew Wasin was the bad guy but had no idea why. Now do I think old grandpa king deserved that shot to the belly...yep. But all those people dead was so sad, even Wasin. His reasons were valid even if his execution was terrible. And not my Chakri!!! Why they have to do him like that!? I'm hoping that the voice over was just Khanin visiting him at the hospital and the grave site scene was for something else and it was just a fake out! Cause who can replace Chakri! Now on to the most important part of this series and particularly, this episode! The FASHION!!! My goodness never has a shows clothing design stood out more in a BL. No one was dressed poorly! All the opulent colors! I am not a huge fan of brown in clothing, especially in a suit, but Net's outfit! A feast for the eyes! My favorite was Paytai and Mira though. That green coat with the fabric draping down from the lapel mixed with the off white blouse! I screamed!! Mira in the pitch black safari jacket mixed with a suit softened by a flower embellishment on her shoulder. I gagged. Even the king in is gold! Normally, I could care less about the clothes but man I definitely feel we are not talking enough about the attention to detail the wardrobe is giving.
I can go along with all the rest of this story, except where Alan betrays them all to avoid surgery because he is getting older. Every one standing in a stupid circle talking about how much Alan loves them all, well that is right, he loves them, so he would never betray them like he did. Especially not for the lame reason of wanting to not have surgery. Cause what sense does it make to avoid surgery, but go under an experimental drug that so far has killed all but one person? It's kind of ruined the show for me. And it was soooo good up until that point. And now he dies next week, making Jeff's vision of their future come true, so we mourn him like Way. And because I cannot see how this will all wrap up well in one more episode, it feels like we will get a 3rd season or a spin off with KimKenta or PeteChris. Literally outside of that, I enjoyed this episode. The fact that they explained why Tony was alive, the gentle way Babe is with Charlie and honestly the kind way Charlie is with Babe. I did want a little more anger from Jeff, especially when he saw that Alan had obviously not slept at home. His just going along to get along is so different from his character last year. It took so much for him to trust Alan, and your telling me that at no point was he suspicious or paranoid at all the MANY clues that Alan was hiding something? I'm devastated for Kenta. I hope that they figure out how to get him his body back, and remove the powers and chip. That was crazy to watch and all those gross men who are willing to watch it, participate with it and then do that to other non suspecting human beings is just UGH!!! It's so true to life how low human beings can be and it makes me angry. I will of course tune in next week to finish this out, but man, I wanted better from this series. I'm praying they pull an hail mary and fix all the problems they created unnecessarily.
This one is definitely got me on pins and needles waiting for the next episode. I definitely should have waited to binge. They could not have casted Hua Yong better. Beautiful beyond compared, soft "omega" looks but then his face changes and he is in charge and scary as hell. That duality it everything for this story line. I cannot wait until the next episode. I want to know why Hua Yong wants Shao You in the first place. Why is he going to such mighty lengths to be with him? Great beginning. I do wish they would release 3 a week until the end, just because of censorship stuff and, what happened to Revenged Love. It doesn't feel like that will happen with this show, but you never know.
This show is still wildly entertaining. The attention to detail from the setting to the costumes to the dialogue is something that we really haven't seen since KinnPorsche. I just had to speak on how refreshing it is to get something like this in a sea of low to mid budget series. I absolutely don't mind those and in fact, with a good director and script, some of the best series have been made. But this is definitely a treat. Now on to today's episode. I feel so bad for Calvin. I get what Jay is feeling, and he has every right to feel it, because not only did Calvin lie, but honestly unlike a regular person, being seen with Royalty has to come with some consent. Simply because any involvement with them requires at minimum a level of personal invasion that would normally occur when making friends or beginning to date someone. Jay deserved to know that simply being with Calvin as a friend would mean someone somewhere would be looking at him, his family and his background, never mind if they are dating. Which, honestly, has been super unclear what they are to each other up until this point. Not even that thing on the porch cleared up what they are to each other, that could have easily been a conversation between two friends or boyfriends. But why I feel bad for Calvin is honestly all the reasons I listed above. Anyone he would want to be his friend would probably chose to leave his life because of what comes with knowing and being in proximity to a Royal. He simply wanted a friend. Which was why he probably chose to come to Emmaly. For fresh start and to go where not as many regular people knew who he was. He finally found someone who didn't know him and liked him for who he was. He got to do things he would not normally be allowed to do and experience things that a typical person his age should experience. I will say that the script writers missed an opportunity to give us one more life lesson in today's episode with Calvin. Up until now, he has been so quiet and reserved, even with Jay. I wished they had had him finally crack and tell Jay why he chose not to tell him that he was a Prince. To say all the things that he has lost out on and all the things he desires to do but can't because of who he was born to. It would have been nice to not just get Jay's feelings on what happened, but also Calvin's. It shows how even if you are rich and famous, you still want to have some basic freedoms and relationships. For all the saseungs and crazy fans who demand things from people who have more visibility that the average Joe (especially the Revenge Love fans...sheesh!), it would have been a good message. Man, why did Ramil ruin the good work he did on the stage by being a jerk to Nin and Ava. It was so unnecessary! But I loved Nin and Ava tag teaming to take him down a peg or two. I would have loved a moment of maybe Paytai scolding him or maybe just questioning why he needed to do that when he could be making friends with them, or SOMETHING to redeem Ramil. Because as of now, even knowing the abuse he suffers and the trauma he must have and even the fact that basically he is just a pawn in his dad's game and he has no real control over his life, I still hate him and with out even a tiny bit of character development happening, I'm pretty sure I'm going to hate him til the end.
While I appreciate the slow pace to the competition and all the back and side stories to get there, I am glad we finally get on with it next week. So much focus on the build up, we don't get enough of the side ships. I want to know more about Paytai and Ramil, how did they even become a thing? And what was the point of having NetJJ in this series if they weren't going to do everything to build this ship and convince us, as viewers who are already skeptical, to watch their solo series? Hardly any screen time and what screen time we get, it's of JJ singing a song that I skip every time. And Net standing there with blood shot eyes looking like he would rather be anywhere else. Both characters are underwhelming, but primarily because they haven't given us anything to like or dislike about them. They are just there. And if this is all their characters are going to be, they didn't have to have NetJJ in there. For me, their ship doesn't have chemistry, on or off the screen, but I'm trying to give them a chance. I was hoping this series would prove me wrong about their off screen chemistry, which in my opinion is almost always awkward. So far they really haven't been given a chance too. As for the GL couple...are they supposed to be a GL couple? Once again, not enough screen time together to let me know anything about these characters together, not even their screen time in this week's episode. Finally thoughts, while I think all the love scenes, (cause while spicy, they have all been so filled with love it wasn't just a sex scene for me) have been beautifully shot and staged...this last one should have been faster paced. It was a missed opportunity to see Ran lose his control for once, just in that moment with the person he loves, who he can be open with the most. If they had shown his hand shaking while he drew or when Nin put the brush down his front, he took over and went a bit wild, it would have made that NC scene so much more interesting. It would have been amazing to see them ruin that room they were in, just to show that Ran, who is always in control and rational, loses his highly impressive composure in the face of a seductive Nin. I also take issue with them showing Nin be so confident in all aspects including initiating sex, and then he withdraws or hides, like he doesn't like his body. It only happens when he reveals himself. It's weird, jarring and pulls the focus of the scene. Again, this was a beautiful dreamy NC scene that was full of heat...it's just that we had that already. Let's see something else.
Side note: no more feet please and thank you. Just...no...more...
This whole episode was absolute ASS!!!! While I am excited North and Sonic are finally together, what was THAT!? The kiss was kind of lame, and done in a weird space. Like get it was supposed to North comforting Sonic and it turns in to a kiss, but just wasn't my favorite for their first kiss. Done in a place where there is ZERO privacy, it just felt off. Then that roof top scene. Yeah, I'll admit parts were cute, but North and Sonic are not high schoolers! They are grown men, who are around grown men who honestly are pretty upfront about sex and relationships. There is no reason for them to be THAT shy confessing to each other. And then not to get a real passionate kiss after the confession... just UGH!!!!! We have been edged with their story for two freaking seasons and to get that weak ass confession, no heart to heart and no amazing kiss was just disappointing to say the least. Then you have Allen....first he PUSHED Jeff, wtf!? I also hated that when Allen was upset they had Babe be the one to comfort him. In no world do I want anyone to comfort me when my husband is available. The person I am most vulnerable with is who I want when I am feeling some type of way. It should have been Babe going to comfort Allen, but then Jeff sucks up his shock at being pushed and goes to Allen.
Then he went in to the enemy's camp but not to save anyone or sacrifice himself to rescue anyone...but because he is getting old and doesn't want to have surgery!? Also, except for Willy, EVERY SINGLE person who was experimented on by Tony has died a painful death. Why would Allen assume he would be the exception?! In what world is Allen so stupid as to believe anything Tony says, trusts that he would just die at Tony's hands, and betray Jeff, Charlie and Babe?! In what world are any of them forgiving him even if after it is all said and done and they some how make the skill nullifier drug and he goes back to being just regular Allen knowing what he did? The writers have ruined a perfectly good character by making him do something so out of character for the STUPIDEST of reasons. I can only pray that some how it's a trick but I cannot for the life of me see how. They didn't even give us a good NC scene with Charlie and Babe! Charlie almost died and instead of a beautiful love making scene that shows them reaffirming their love for each other, a reconnection after a scary life or death situation...they give us a jerk off (maybe, it was so poorly filmed and they were clothed that it was the only thing I could assume was happening) on a bike. Cause why? First, uncomfortable and impractical. Second, it just seemed to lack the intimacy that was warranted after the ring scene. Anyway, I'm beyond irritated at this episode (obviously) most because I was surprised at well this show was doing for a second season, and to have them mess that up with only 2 episodes to fix it...just ugh!
At this point I am mostly living for Per and Tar's bromance. While I still like KimMon, and KitShane, I'll admit to being over the "problems" I feel like shows should have a quota on how many are allowed per series. I will say, the main thing this show got wrong was the after relationship intimacy. Sure we have had some cuddling (at least with the kids, the adult...I'll get to them in a minute), but not enough. I get that they aren't going to be having NC scenes, nor do I want them to, but for Kit and Shane where is the hand holding and leaning into each other and the quick kisses that would befit a teenage romance. Same for Kim and Mon. While they seem to be the more outwardly affectionate couple, that kiss on the porch bothered me. It was the slow leaning into each other until way too many seconds passed and they finally kissed. By this point in their relationship, they would have made out a million times. And if nothing else, kissing each other would not be as big a deal, cinematically, as they made it. Just show them kissing. They are old enough for at least that. I would have really respected this show if they had one of the couples making out heavy and one of them pulled back and admitted they weren't ready, even though they want their partner. Perfectly normal teenage occurrence. And if nothing else it would show any teen out there that it is okay to be horned up but still not ready to have sex and it's okay to say so to your partner. Similar feelings about Shane and Kit. Shane being a worry wart in the beginning made sense for his character and having Kit's presence being the thing that brought him out of his head a little was great. And I like the story line of Shane not getting the scholarship and having to rethink his plans, again, it made sense for the character. But once we got passed that, no more problems please. We needed more them dating and maturing together. I just want to see them act more like boyfriends. Outside of the problem of spending the night, you cannot tell they are more than friends. It still looks very much like the tutor/student turned friend relationship, even when Shane hugged Kit when he got into the international school. While I definitely think Mick has surpassed his brother in terms of BL intimacy is parts, there is something missing...I'm mostly blaming the writer and director, though, because it's not just a LukeMick problem. Now on to the adults. Outside of a comment that they would be doing shenanigans later...just...nothing. I don't even remember if they have kissed yet. And what is crazy is Pod and Papang have crazy chemistry. I was so excited when they hinted at this ship initially because it makes so much sense for them as actors. And their Valentine's Day photo shoot was hot as hell, so they have the stuff to make a great pairing. Then this happened. I like both characters, they work for the story. And I absolutely don't expect a NC scene in this show, that would be weird. But to show that they are truly the grown ups in this series, there should have been at least a kiss. And maybe an scene after they had moved in together with Pod coming out shirtless from the bathroom first thing in the morning followed shortly by Papang, showing they are as intimate as they should be. Maybe a teasing and a rolling around on the bed to show how happy they are together now that they are in a space with just them two. Something other than school scenes with them mostly with the kids. Definitely disappointed in how they developed their story line.
Champ setting boundaries and then introducing a new guy to be into the mix in the next to last episode is not it for me. Maybe 2 episodes ago, and then have them resolve it by now so we still get mostly Sorn and Jun. And it irked me that Thai literally could have confessed in that moment and they could have had a sweet heart to heart, which would make since for an 11th episode side ship. Then we could focus all on Sorn and Jun working on establishing their relationships and coming out to family and work. I liked that 1) Jun set a boundary about not jumping back into sex right away and that 2) they show Sorn actively respecting that. I also love soft and clingy Sorn. Narak! Based on the preview, it seems like they need one more episode past next week, to leave room for the random children dropping off coffee and gossiping. Such a weird part of the show to me. And so unnecessary. I wanted more of Phut and the guy he was dating in the office and the jealous girlfriend story line. Didn't feel like that got wrapped properly. Anyway, I am sad this is almost the end. I'm going to miss this messy and shocking show!
I'll start with the skippable bits. The girls....I'm sorry they bore me. I am waiting for the industry to get better story lines for their GL couples. Tai and Champ...it's sad when your NC scenes are skippable. Imagine having a main lead couple whose NC scenes will go down as some of the best, only to have the second couple have some of the worst. At this point, can we have Yoon be the straight best friend who give good advice. He is fine in that role. But if I never see him sip kiss another human being and make a NC awkward as hell again, I would die happy. Why did they show Champ riding when he was literally levitating in the air. Like friends, your genitals are no where near each other. And the crazy thing is, this side couple have almost zero story line. It started off intriguing, and then nothing. Either they are in a scene together dealing with Sorn and Jun's stuff or they do what they did today. They would have been a much better addition as a will they or won't they with a dry sip kiss at the end couple. Now on to Sorn and Jun. I loved that Jun didn't give in right away after Sorn confessed he liked him. I'll admit that I kind of wanted to see Sorn humbled a bit more. I would have like to see him begging Jun to come back, on his knees. Especially during that scene where they were crying together. Sorn has been keeping his true feelings so hidden that it would have been nice to see him have to go all out to win Jun back again. I'll say, I didn't like the bathroom scene where Sorn asked to kiss and he kept crossing the boundary Jun had set. This was an opportunity to show some growth from Sorn, especially at one point, Jun mentions that every time they did anything like that, it was Sorn just doing what he wanted to do. They also could have made that scene hella sexy with Sorn finally taking his time, like he worshipped Jun. And Jun would be feeling some type of way, so that HE would initiate using tongue. And then Sorn could walk away, insisting that they respect Jun's boundary, leaving Jun a little frustrated that they didn't go any further. But that scene did emphasis that both Jun and Sorn are the "My Stubborn". Both are crazy hard headed. I do like that we got to finally know when Sorn started liking Jun. But instead of two terrible NC scenes with Tai and Champ, it would have been great to flash back to the shoe giving and Sorn developing feeling for Jun back then. I'm glad it looks like they are back together. I'm looking forward to next week.
There is a clip of Jimmy and Ohm teasing ZeeNunew about their NC scene last week and after Zee replies that their own NC is extra spicy, he says not as much as ZeeNunew's....ummm after today's episode, what in the WORLD could ZeeNunew do to top JimmyOhm's NC scene?!?! Holy Moly! Beautifully shot, and as hot as it was, it was also deeply moving. In previous episodes, you could make a case saying that Ramil views Paytai as an object, one he can use at his will. A toy he is possessive of. You get a small hint it is more than that when the father beats Paytai in his stead. But that NC scene shows that their relationship, while crazy complicated, is at its base, love. I cannot wait to get more of their story. Once again, the wardrobe director/Stylist on this series deserves all the awards. Nunew in the cropped jacket and silken pants with a cummerbund was giving me life! Then in come Net with the black and grey coat over a ruffled shirt and then the leader of Meenagarin's beautiful navy coat. I didn't know where to look and missed the dialogue in that scene like 4 times. Gorgeous! I love that they also are showing Charan and Khanin slowly develop their relationship. I love that we get their moments, but that their moments are restrained because of who they are and what could happen if someone finds out. But I also love that lots of people already know what they are to each other and are just letting them live their lives. I'm not one of those people who are against NetJJ because they loved NetJames, but I have been waiting patiently since NetJJ was announced to see some chemistry between them and so far have not. I was hoping this series would show it before their real series is air...but still not seeing it. I am seeing them both being great actors, individually. And maybe in this story its not there yet, and I need to keep being patient. But for now...meh (at least on their chemistry so far). IMO
That beard....well, the dialogue kind of made up for it. I love that finally we get a script where the people are telling it like it is. First, Sorn's brother calling him out for being a complete asshat and making all the excuses in the world. Letting him know that he had to figure his shit out because Jun did not deserve Sorn treating him the way he does. Then, Jun telling Sorn, that he was no longer going to be doing what ever they were doing on Sorn's terms. That Sorn cannot have it both ways by saying that he doesn't date children and that he doesn't like Jun but then try and control who Jun sees. I LOVE that Jun called Sorn out on his BS. So many times in these series, they don't get to the point of why a character is angry. Just alot of empty words that don't mean anything. Jun expressing himself fully and letting Sorn sit in that was amazing. And then finally Tai calling Sorn out for being unclear with what he wants and using Jun without thought to literally everyone else's feelings, including his own. Everyone calling Sorn an idiot was so satisfying to my ears! I still don't care about Tai and Champ, mostly because we made it this far and have had like 2 scenes with them together, so who knows what they are to each other. Even Champ said he doesn't know what they are. And Tai then becoming a hypocrite by telling Sorn to figure out his feelings to not knowing how to fix his own...relationship? They are boring but their story line did not have to be. They just needed to show them together now as well as in the past to give us reason to care about them. All the random side people need to go. The kids, the guy James, the guy Korn who comes in and doesn't even provide comic relief. The have too many couples to waste time on any of them. No NC scene this time. I didn't expect it based on the trailer, but so far they have been 8 out of 12, so I totally expected them to intentionally give us one every episode. I am glad though that they didn't, it shows how serious the situation is now. Looking forward to next week. I kind of hope they make up like right away and we get to see them in relationship mode, not just sex buddy mode.
IMO
