Title The Wicked Game Spoiler
Listen, Chet being this crazy through the whole show makes since, because it explains his behavior in episode 8. If he showed an ounce of caring, and I'm not counting what ever his happening between and Park, episode 8 would feel like a reach. We have to be so used to him being batshit crazy that when he ups his game, it is believable. When he was caught at the house after kidnapping Pheem and was literally jump kicking everyone over and on the couch, I about lost it! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚This whole episode was bonkers. And while I was surprised as heck when Pheem shot Than in the back, nothing could have prepared me for Daddy to be the one to get it. I just kept begging for Risa to get the accidental shot I could see coming from a mile away. I said it last time, but I do not like her character, not because she is doing the double crossing thing with her brothers, but because she really is useless. Her killing the mother to frame Pheem wasn't that inspired. I really need BL to stop writing women this...unclever. This would have been a 10 outta 10 for me, even with the over the top gun scenes (Like seriously Park, bringing an assault rifle to a children's park dedication is NUTS!!! Or Than rolling across the floor doing his fancy gun reloading moves - insert eye roll here), if they had made Risa the smartest one out of all of them and not a murderer. It also annoys me that Pheem, knowing how crazy is and being rich, didn't have someone watching literally everyone. If for no other reason than to have something on them later. After Risa double crossed him the first time, he should have made sure she was monitored everywhere. And why did he confess that he knew it was her that killed Chet's mother, with out having any proof?! He only looked into it because Chet was accusing him, so if you wanted him to stop, why not get definitive proof for both Chet and the Dad.
Anyway, this show can only be enjoyed if you are ready for everyone to be batshit crazy, even the ML (I still don't know how I'm supposed to forgive Pheem for shooting Than in the back...there really is no way to redeem that story line). It is, however, a very entertaining watch! Also, lots of hot guys. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I'm sad this doesn't have higher ratings or is getting as much attention. So far it is really good. The teasing of what happened in the past is painful, I want all the story now, but its well acted, Babe is beautiful as Kaewta and cute as a bug as Kaew. Billy is handsome all the lives he's in. But for episode two, I need to say that Gap is a PROBLEM!!! I don't know what will happen when he gets to lead a project or gets his own ship, cause Sheesh!!!!

I'm not sure how they are going to bring this back around, romance story wise. I absolutely cannot root for the two of them now. It's one thing if he had shot back at him like Than did to him first and some how some way he gets shot accidently (think ricochet bullet) but to point blank shot him is crazy work for a BL. I guess I bought VegasPete, so I guess anything is possible. But I'm having a hard time seeing the end result.
I will say, as much as most of his acting in this series is throwing huge tantrums, Tongtong/Chet is acting his butt off, even in those over the top tantrums. His character is someone whose mother killed someone just to secure his place as heir. He absolute would be the kind of grown up who pitches a fit every chance he didn't get his way. That funeral scene was top tier, imo.
Now Risa, I'm going to have to agree with Pheem on his reading of you. From the very first scene, I was disappointed that the main female character was well...kind of useless. To have grown up with those two brothers and that absolute horror show of a father, and not have tricks a plenty to get what she wanted is...bad writing. It would have been so cool to see that all that time she was manipulating every thing behind the scenes. She really did just whine until Pheem came back and she thought she could throw her hat in the ring with him. And when she betrayed him and then was shocked he didn't cut her into the company...come on! She could have built up a connection with Pheem and wheedled her way to higher position once Pheem took over. I just wish they would stop writing women in BL either as delusional and cruel when they cannot get the guy they are crushing on, or just plain stupid. It's boring!!
My last thought is if Dad don't end up dead at the end of this, throw the whole show away!

Title Revamp the Undead Story Spoiler
First the positives. I loved Barcode in this. He stole the show for me being an intense pouty, whiny vampire. Also, that boy done grown up! I loved that Boun and Prem got to portray different characters and show their range. I think if all of the previous teasers had not been so serious and dark, it would not have been so jarring to see Boun as a goofy vampire. Which I don't mind, it just didn't go with the show I was expecting before the last trailer. I actually liked the story they did here. But....
Now, for the not so good. It was too short, therefore, not enough story building. This was one series that could have benefitted from 12 episodes or full 1 hr eps. The back story was rushed, and so we don't get why Punn and Ramil are "destined to be together for eternity". Why Punn? And I also felt that the romance to the relationship was rushed. I get Ramil was told that the person who saved him would be his love forever, but again, since he said he chose Punn, why Punn? And for Punn, what was it about Ramil that made him change his entire perspective on vampires? Even though he had left the Hunters before he went to the painting, his bias again them had to be strong. It just would have lent to the romance and the story, in my opinion, to have bigger sweeter moment between them and way less silly ones.
Now for the biggest problem with the BL...the kissing/NC scenes. I said this about Between Us, which I loved despite this same issue, Prem has GOT to come to terms that he is in a BL and has to kiss Boun. The stiff kissing was okay in UWMA, but it was lame in BU and it is lame here. The opening scene was supposed to be hot, but the distance between their bodies during that scene was comical. Don't get me wrong, I love BounPrem and I was happy they decided to keep working together. I think they are both really talented actors. But despite knowing they have chemistry together while acting, their romantic scenes leave much to be desired. I skipped so many kissing scenes because they just looked...uncomfortable. I said it for BU, but Boun seems to be really kissing while Prem is pretending to kiss, if that makes sense. He would open his mouth but then immediately close it, tucking his upper lip down. And of course this is all just my opinion and observations. It just got frustrating, cause this series had a ton of kissing.
The acting was okay for the most part. The fight scenes were terrible, though. Dunk's part...well it could have been bad ass, but I didn't get scary vampire off him, even though he looked the part. I will say, who ever did his make up to make him look old deserves and award. It was really good.
Outside of that, I like the doctor and Pokpong story line, but I wasn't quite sure what they were to each other. It felt weird for the doctor to befriend the teenager, with out the initial mentor like attitude. It felt like friends to lovers kind of vibes, and even when he found out Pokpong was Punn's brother, he acted guilty, like he had feelings for Pokpong and now it was going to be complicated now that he knows it's Punn's brother. But he was only 18, so it just was weird. I'm glad they didn't do anything, but it felt like the show wanted up to have them be the second couple.
I loved that Junior came in at the end as a werewolf. So cool.
Overall, it was an okay show, that had a ton of potential. But I am so glad it go made considering how long the idea for this show took to come to fruition.

I was thinking the same. The Khem’s stares were more watchable at 1.5x
Yeah, it's a shame. I wish Namping had been directed to be more seductive/seduced, to match Keng's intensity in the moment. I can tell he is capable, but he may have needed direction to get there.

This was a really, REALLY well made series. Everything was top tier, the story, the OST, the acting and directing and the cinematography. I am not a fan of spooky series, but this had just the right balance between spooky and silly and sexy and romantic. I will say this series was lite on the BL, but I did not mind it, as it made up for it everywhere else. I loved Ramphueng's story and arc. I was so glad that in the end, while she will get her karma for what she has done, she won't be made to suffer more than that. Because to be honest, as a mother, there really isn't anything they could have done to her that would have been more painful than what she has already been made to endure. Watching her be able to finally be reunited with her baby, even though it was such a brief moment, it was so heartwarming.
I did want a bit more BL in the last episode, especially considering the run time. The bad girl was gone in the first 30 minutes, so there was plenty of time to really BL it up. And while we got the lovely moment between Charn and Jet solidifying their relationship and the beautiful NC scene, I wish instead of the rocket scene focusing on Charn and Jet coming out to Jet's dad, two years after they have been together, they would have made it into Charn proposing to Jet instead. It would have been the best tie into Jin and Da being forced to separate and not even getting to be together let alone marry in their life time. Toss in a flash back to Charn asking Jet's dad for permission and getting the same welcome as they did in the rocket scene, would have again, tied into Jin being forced by her parents to marry after coming out back then. I don't know what was the point of bringing Pong back, as cute as he is, or seeing Jane and Net's character at the rocket festival. All that time could have, should have been used for showing that Master had gotten his magic back in the time that Khem was gone. When they said they were going to say a prayer, I was expecting Master to be called to do it and then when it rained, it would have just brought the series full circle from the first episodes.
Lastly, I wish that the director had had Khem be more affectionate to Master, at least while alone. There were a couple of "moments" where Peem is expressing his love and commitment to Khem and Khem, just kind of just stares at him and delivers one word responses. And nothing changed about his expression to convey his feelings. I think in a series where the BL is lite because honestly the main story of Khem breaking the curse and all the back story behind that is so strong, you HAVE to make the few romantic moments big. I'll admit to feeling just the tiniest bit let down. But seriously the rest of the story was sooo good, it's a small complaint.
I love the ending where Thong and Ake come back as their children! This was a full circle moment that made it into the series and it worked, heartstrings pulled. It would have been even better if Uncle Jet came in and spoiled them rotten in that scene, especially considering they show him putting their replicas (not sure what their statues are traditionally called) in the box feeling sad he wouldn't be seeing them any more. But again, it was still a cute ending.
Overall a really fantastic show that I am really going to miss.
On Love Sea: The Home for Lovers Oct 21, 2025
I liked the original despite the criticism it got (some critics I got and shared). I saw quite a few saying this was better than the original, which I knew wouldn't be the case, having seen the JBL remake of LITA. I've only made it through 2 episodes and...meh.
Here is where the Japanese remakes excel, in my opinion. Getting actors who mimic the original actors characterizations of their specific character they are playing. To an extent....I'm glad they don't copy movement by movement and add their own flair, but the actor who plays Ai/Rak incorporated some looks and gestures that are distinctly Peat's style of acting, particularly in this role. It aided, for me, in buying this portrayal of this character. The only they really go right with the guy playing Kaishin/Mutt was that they were both big, buff and tan. They misses the mark by a mile on Fort's playful sexiness. Fort exudes sex appeal in general, but especially in this role. Mutt is supposed to be carefree, charming as hell, completely unserious (in the beginning) and sexy as all get out, and he knows it. All of the sexual tension that was sooo integral to these characters beginning was missing and with out that, what do you really have? And maybe this is unfair to this series, but based on the LITA remake, I don't feel like I need to watch the rest of this. The pacing is soo rushed that they have the bike scene, where Ai is supposed to be uncomfortable riding on the bike from all the sex they just had, before they actually have sex for the time. And let's pretend that in this version they had sex after the beach and they didn't show it...then why would Kaishin be jerking off in the shower?
This is probably only good for people who find MAME's explicitness too much but still want a story. Like I said, the original wasn't immaculate (The GL story line was dog water, I skipped it here too), but I'm definitely going to just stick with the original and skip this.
I prefer my JBL's with original content. They excel there,
On High School Frenemy Oct 20, 2025
This was okay. I got into because I wanted to see what all the SkyNani buzz was all about. I will give it to you, they do have chemistry. But I wouldn't call it BL chemistry. Make no mistake, this show was a BL without kissing, so if you are someone who hates an NC scene, this is for you. I think that is why this didn't do it for like it did for others, in other words, why I don't think I would ship Sky and Nani. They have acting chemistry but zero sexual chemistry. Even though I am not delusional to think any of the ships (with a few exceptions because they be doing more than typical fan service) are "sexual" with one another, for their jobs, they do have to get pretty intimate. And in doing so, they have a kind of sexual tension that only a ship can have. These two gave off buds who had to deliver beyond bromance lines as part of a story. I'm confused why the writer/director/producer didn't go ahead and turn it in to a BL or dial back the dialogue to be less...for lack of a better word, gay, but I guess we will never know. And to be clear, I'm quite aware of the difference between bromance and what ever this was supposed to be. In fact my favorite shows on earth star some of the biggest bromances, Psych and Scrubs. But something about the way this was written seems...unnecessary to the central story.
The MVP for me was Mark Pakin as Chadjan. He was brilliant. I also like how the way the friends treated him wasn't babying but it also was in line with where ever he fell on the spectrum. He truly was their friend who they respected and listened to, played with and treated "normally" but understanding that he was "different" and that must be considered too. As a parent and an aunt of someone on the spectrum and someone who witnesses how other people treat people on the spectrum, it was sooo refreshing to see that.
Teacher Jan got on my nerves. Honestly, all the adults except Mr. Sung. Everyone was judgey but stupid. Like all that talk but unable to solve a sing problem. Ms. Jan was almost unbearable. She was so whiney. And in the beginning of the story, it made sense for her character to be unsure of her self, especially considering the circumstances she inherited with that teaching post. But after awhile, she solved not one problem, didn't stand up to the principal even once and when she quit and they KEPT begging her to come back, proving that her insecurity about being a good teacher wasn't founded in reality, she still was obstinate about that.
Overall, it was an okay series. Is it as good as I was led to believe...meh. Sky and Nani are great actors. I don't think they should be a ship though. And at the risk of being attacked, it's kind of obvious they don't really want to be. I think seeing them in a rom com where they have to do shenanigans to win the girls, they would kill that. But if they were made to kiss...I'm seeing what happened with Chimon and Perth. I could be wrong. I hope they are professional actors who can take any role and succeed as long as the script and direction are good. Only time will tell, maybe in December when they finally do GMMTV 2026 lineup.

It wasn't bad. The best part may be the shots of the ocean. It need literally 3 to 5 more minutes to make it a solid story. I just needed to see what happens once he comes back from New York. I just knew we were going to get that after the credits, but nope, just gabbing about food. Cause why? Even if they just had them walking casually out of frame with the conversation not being about food, but them with a few sentences of, I'll be back in 6 months after I help my dad. Let's discuss us when I get back...that would have felt like a finished story to me. But overall, it was good. Just not something I would rewatch...

Title Doctor's Mine Spoiler
This wasn't the worst BL I've ever seen, but it really isn't that good. This was written and produced like it was back in 2020 and BL fans did not literally have a million other options to choose from so we would settle for stories like this one. It's poorly written, was all over the place plot wise. Also, not a strong acting cast, so when you combine those two things, it makes for meh experience at minimum. No likeable women, unless you count the one mom. An evil homophobic mom, a random, and mostly unaddressed SA and to end the show, a random stabbing by a random barely side character for a crazy random reason...wtf?!?! The only thing missing to make it a early BL trope fest would be a ultra effeminate gay man who always hits on everyone, but gets bullied by everyone else, because "of course, no one likes the ACTUAL gay man in BL". (insert sarcastic tone) Seriously, it was that ridiculous. Longlee really isn't a bad actor, but man, someone save him and find him a good partner and a good script because sheesh! The 3rd couple could have been cute, but it went unexplored and only hinted at. And because they made one of the GL couple unlikable, I skipped all of their story minute story line.
Like I said, it's not the worst I've ever seen but by today's standard of BL, this was terrible. Not even the NC scene's could save it. If you want to watch it maybe do so on 2x speed. I promise you won't miss anything, there isn't a lot of story to begin with.

I really needed them to cut the bar scene, one scene with the dad (that could have been condensed into one), the rutting scene, and add on 10-20 minutes extra just to give justice to an otherwise great series. SWL and Gao Tu's storyline was literally nothing and deserved better for the end. I do hope we at least get a special episode.
On The Proper Way to Write Love Oct 9, 2025
I liked this series, although, it was missing some things to make a cohesive story. There were so many flashbacks but instead of just repeating the story, it would have been nice if they had showed each persons perspectives. From Hiro's perspective, it truly looked like Natsuo was just a Great Dane puppy who means well, but ends up ruining all the things. And then when he chose to bully Hiro when his confession was interrupted...he lost any points with me, in defense of his awkward flirting. It would have been amazing to have him, when he did the flash back and described what happened then, say how sorry he was that he did that. That he wishes to go to the reunion to apologize to him for his behavior. That looking back he did alot of things wrong, even if they weren't intentional.
For Hiro's side, once he realized that Natsuo just liked him back then and was just crazy awkward about it, he should have confessed that he was the Hiro that Natsuo remembers. There really wasn't a reason to keep up the "revenge plot" as it wasn't even really being followed anymore. He was just dating him. Especially after he hurt his hand. By asking him to stay, he was basically giving up the revenge thing and at least admitting that he enjoyed Natsuo's company. I was so annoyed when Hiro let himself be dragged to the reunion after he swore he wouldn't attend. And then to suck up to those people after the way they treated him back then. But the worst was when he was telling Natsuo his plans, trying to force him was just...gross. It was such an unnecessary plot point and so against the character. He didn't apologize for any of it and that bothered me.
It had some great moments though and that NC scene was shock of 2025 in Japanese BLs. One that it had an NC was a shock, cause the whole series did not give that vibe. But to have such a hot one...bravo to JBLs for stepping up their game. No more sip/fish kisses!

Poor Hua Yong, I also hate talking to idiots! 🀣🀣🀣 I definitely need this to be like at least 3-4 more episodes, it seems like there is still things to discuss in order to wrap this story up. Did SSY accept that epic proposal? Do they get married before the baby comes? What is up with the father, both of them? Is SWL going to find Gao Tu before he gets sick and help him out? Then there are the pregnancies, both of which seem to be high risk, we aren't going to get to see all that?!
I really hope the last episode is 2 hours or that there is a special to help tie up all the loose ends.

First, this was a cute little story, so pleasant to watch. Second, it has been mentioned before, but their height difference was really the star of the show. Lastly, I have decided that IMO, Kang Min looks like Lee Know but only at certain angles. And Kevin looks like a teeny tiny Ten.
This was fun to binge especially after coming off of watching Shine and When Life Gives You Tangerines.

Perfect is reaching...I didn't say it wasn't good, but it could have been better. And yes, I know that people do it in all kinds of places and positions, but usually out of necessity because passion consumed them in the heat of the moment. That was not the case in this NC. They were in a bed...no reason to lay like that was my only point, a failing on the director's, in my opinion. While I get the ML hesitancy, and yes, I think those factors should be part of their characters and their story arc, I thought it would be nice to see them both push past their comfort zones, to push past their fears, to emphasis how much they feel for each other. So far, I'm not particularly seeing that from these characters. But that is my opinion.

I had two frustrations on an otherwise really good episode. No complaints on the length, I enjoyed that. My frustration were mainly the ignoring of the Grandmother the whole time. She wasn't a little sick and I get that it probably takes alot to get her to the doctors, but the fact that no one suggested it or just took her, especially after the last time she fell out in front of them. Then when she magically appeared and Khem, after literally everything he has been through in his life, or even just the last 3 weeks, did not suspect even a little bit that something wasn't right?! Everything with Grandma, whether the real one or the fake was wrong and they were all just tralala-ing along. I need at least 1 clever character in a series like this and you maybe could have said it about master...but not this episode.
The second thing that bothered me was the NC scene. The lead up to it was kind of...stiff and awkward as heck. Like either have them shy of each other or have them checking each other out, but they had literally had their first kiss, which again, was kind of awkward, which is to be expected for a first kiss, so no worries. And then it turned hot, so all good there. The scene were Khem is checking out Master could have helped in leading in to the NC scene if Khem had maybe touched the tattoos when he was asking about them, like he couldn't resist touching and then maybe get a bit shy. Then finally, when he was lying there, maybe have him eyeing master, cause you know, he is hot. That would have made the subsequent NC scene flow better, at least for me. Finally, the main thing that bothered me about that scene was the angle they were laying in for most of it. It looked so uncomfortable and I don't care how hot for each other you are, discomfort takes you out of the mood. Either they should have been sitting up flush with the head board, especially when Master was sitting on top of Khem or lying down.
But otherwise, it was a good episode. I am ready to get the back story, I need to know the why and how far back their past lives connect.

They were taking notes apparently. No beard for Sorn and Jun finally gets some prep and protection! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I really liked this first episode of the special. This is exactly as a special ep should go. Lots of fluff and sex. This was like it was straight out of the MAME handbook. Minimal plot and lots of shirtless scenes. And if your series had hot NC scenes, make them hotter. I'm a bit worried for the second episode cause what are they going to do on that boat....sheesh! I do like that we get to see Sorn and Jun be fluffy together, although there intro scenes were too dramatic for a week apart. They should have made it a month apart, then it would have made all that 'I miss you" fluff, make better sense. Overall though, it was a good comeback to the characters.
