I haven't checked in here in like a year and I honestly can't believe people are still commenting every day. We really are a sad bunch. This series will never be released but will always live in our hearts.

Ok i have a sort of spoilery plot hole question that bothered me the whole time. If Zhi Yuan was in love with Zhu Yan's great-great grandmother and then she died young, when did she ever have a child that would have been zhu yan's great grand-parent? cause it couldn't have been with Zhi Yuan or he is her great-great grandfather. and she didn't seem to already have a child when she met him so...?
I've watched the first two episodes and I'm so confused. Why are the different divisions of the army fighting each other? is it real or is it just a test and why?
I wish these companies would just sell their shows to Netflix if they are not going to air them. This drama has been finished for years. They could at least make some money off of it by selling the rights.
This drama was fine. A bit tropey and predictable but reasonably well made. But Zhao Lusi can make literally anything watchable. She is so great in everything she does and is so great at creating chemistry. I just hope she gets more dynamic roles going forward.
Ok I take back what I said about Dating in the Kitchen being better. It started off really good but went downhill…
Yes Tiger and Rose was great and I loved it (though she arguably played a very similar character just transported into a historical world). I think the only truly unique character she has portrayed recently was in The Long Ballad. As the second lead she stole the show for me. She did excellent work in a more serious role and I would love to see her get more interesting roles like that. I do love her in the funny, cutesy roles, I would just love to see her get more variety because she is so talented and can do anything.
I watched this drama and I recently started watching Dating in the Kitchen (which came out before this) and I…
Ok I take back what I said about Dating in the Kitchen being better. It started off really good but went downhill super fast and while the last episode was pretty good, the last few episodes were almost unwatchable and ultimately Mr. Ling was a more enjoyable experience for me. I still can't believe her team thought it would be a good idea for her to be in both of these dramas. But I guess I'm glad she was in Mr. Ling anyway, since i did enjoy it. I just hope Zhao Lu Si gets better projects because she is so so talented.
This is just my speculation, but I feel like this drama still has a pretty good chance of eventually getting released, though without any romance. The BL elements would be really easy to remove without too much damage to the story. Of course it's disappointing that real BL can't be shown, but if you like this novel for the story/drama I think there is still hope.
