Oh... and I doubt western people are more mature. I was that age too and far from mature. Lol

And western dramas have strange FLsand MLs too of course. Everyone has his or her own opinion. I couldn't watch Emily in Paris for various reasons but especially because Emily was a terrible character. I love Lilly Collins though...just not here. I like Esther Yu... just not some of her clothes here. Her acting is good.

Yes, I'm german and I am aware of these differences in culture. I have childish friends too. I still think even for asians she's presented too cutesy in comparision to her acting peers.

I don't think she acts childish. I am mainly referring to some fashion choices. But that's just my opinion. I like the actress and her delivery here. She's lovely.

I'm aware. But even for a 19 year old she's dressed childish sometimes IMO.

I love Skate into love although I didn't care for the side characters. I also loved Falling into you and Fly towards you. Are there any other sports dramas you'd recommend?

Love's ambition was good at first but I dropped it after almost finishing it. I like the FL though.

I loved Twelve letters and Reborn.
I've almost finished Speed and love and I love it. The first frost or Hidden love aren't available here. I hope to watch them someday.
My fave modern cdrama besides Reborn is Our secret. I also love Forever love with Wang Anyu and his sport dramas. And I'm a big fan of Steven Zhengs dramas. I haven't watched Go ahead yet but will do so.

I just started this but maybe it's not for me. I really like the FL but many of her modern dramas seem a bit uneventful lately. I dropped Our generation and had big problems to finish the snowstorm one. I didn't like You are my glory by the same author that much too. So probably I have to watch something different. The cinematography is also lacking IMO. And in episode 2 the business talk was pretty boring. I'll give it a few more episodes hoping to get hooked later on. I'm unfamiliar with Song Weilong so far and maybe it's too early for me to judge but I have a feeling that he's too stiff an actor for my taste. But I'm happy if proven wrong.

I also haven't watched Love in contract because the PMY is a bit hit or miss for me lately.

I wanted to but it's not available in germany.

Three more episodes to go for me but what can I say... this drama was so lovely. I really love He Yu in this. He was already so sweet in My fated boy. But this role was truly heartbreaking. The Fl isn't my cup of tea in most of her dramas but I liked her in this... especially after the time jump. Her styling was all over the place sometimes though as if they couldn't really decide if she's a little girl or a mature woman. The last third was more cohesive styling-wise.
And I really liked the MLs bestie.

The first episode was good... a lot reminded of Lovely runner... especially the songs, the band dynamic and the clothing and style of the ML. The fl is really cute. I really like the actress. She can play the tough woman very well. She's also hilarious in her expressions. I only saw the ML as handsome swordsman in 100 days my prince. He surely looks older and fits the role of an idol in the shadow days of his stardom. I can't realky judge his acting so far. But imo the SML is more intersting and more natural. He has this quirky charme already. I hope he gets a story that doesn't involve the Fl and a love triangle. I'm still sad about the bestie in the kdrama Head over heels. Lol

Good points. But I think he's not toxic at least. It's been some time since I watched the drama and I remembered him as a good soul with god intentions. So my criteria is a bit softer when it comes to green flags. I get your explanation.

I already watched and although the story is different it has got many similar elements. It's not a remake by any means but surely follows the trend with car racing and "sibling" romances that's popular atm.

The chinese Culpa Mia. It's nice so far and the first time I like the actress. ML is a perfect fit too. Liked him in other projects.
