I only got through this because of Song Joong Kis performance. He's reminding me of a young Tom Cruise in Top Gun (not a good movie either but saved by its lead actor). The second couple was nice too and the older couple had my heart.
This is still one of the most interesting kdramas this year. I really loved the thriller aspect. I see that it's not for everyone. But it had a tight script, great actors, beautiful haunting cinematography and music. I also love that it's without the palace politics. I still have to watch Rowoons Murky stream. This should be another kind of seaguk too.
This is good. I hope the second half curse doesn't affect it.
I hope so too since many kdramas I've watched recently had a weaker second half. Unfortunately some went downhill after 2-4 episodes although they started so strong. But 2025 had some great ones as well like f.e. "Our unwritten Seoul", "Dear Hongrang" , "Study group" or "When life gives you tangerines ".
This drama started out so great with its first two episodes. I also like the lead actors. But the story stalls after ep 3 and gets more and more confusing and over the top. Unfortunately I have to drop this after ep 6.
This is a great show so far. I love all of Junhos dramas. The FL is impressive too. And the pace is great. The drama does a good job presenting its characters and mixing different tones. So many memorable scenes already.
This one was odd. It had a great cast and storyline to the point where after the first four episodes, I had it…
Exactly my thoughts. I loved the acting and there were some great heartfelt scenes in between. But the story dragged and dragged with nothing really happening... even for the slice of life genre. I also think some of the dialogues were very unnatural. It was similar with the drama Run on but that one had a more concise storyline. The best part here for me was the little sister the second couple and the acting as a whole.
Although the cinematography is beautiful the plot is all over the place. I also think the dialogues aren't natural at all. I like the acting of every actor here but I also have a problem to connect the couples' younger version with the older one. They feel and look way too different. I guess I can accept that but I'm having a hard time to watch this for several reasons. It's not a bad drama but plot- , pace, dialogue- and casting-wise it's lacking. It's also not focused enough with too much drama for the ML.
She used to be better. These days her acting feels so hollow and like indeed she went to plastic surgery clinic…
I think she's a good actress but tends to pick similar characters. She's like the korean Meg Ryan for me... picking mostly romcoms although she did some great acting too f.e. in When the weather is fine or Healer. I also think her make up is too heavy most if the time. But that's something that's evident in most asian productions compared to f.e. european ones.
This was a decent but in parts draggy show. Interestingly after they became a couple the "main leads" had nothing else too do really. It felt like the other three had the higher stakes and more story. I was okay with it cause I prefered them from the start. But as a LJS fan I would probably be a little bit dissapointed.
I really loved this. The music was awesome and highlighted important parts of the story. I also liked the actors a lot. The romance was nice. I think Akane could have ended with both but she looked better with Kazushi. I also don't think the love lines were out of the blue. They were very obvious from the beginning but not the main plot. Great jdrama. The second great project of Takeru Satoh after MMH.
The movie started out well but the journalist and his motives were way over the top. Some scenes were too graphic and the actors tend to scream too fast and too much. I liked the idea but the second half was distracting . I like Kang Ha Neul but none if his projects did it for me. He's a fantastic actor. I'm glad that others seemed to like this. I unfortunately didn't.
S1 was pretty decent . But S2 was a big letdown. The story doesn't make sense and the ending is highly questionable. Why on earth did the male culprit get such a happy ending??? This is even worse than Hierarchy. They should have sticked with one season.
S2 isn't that compelling after a decent S1. Too many characters, too much side plots, not enough screen time for the main characters of S1. I mean... the actual ML feels like "student No. 24" atm but not like a main character.
