I didn't realize that this was going to be a long term show. I guess that could change it up if there will be more than 16 episodes.
One thing that I despise about Dan-ah is her rich snobby attitude. I can't believe that nobody has said anything to her when she calls them peasants. I don't think it will be too much longer when EB goes off on her too for what she is doing to her brother.
As far as EO is concerned, KG said that she was different before her 3 month sabbatical/romance. That remains to be shown.. something that they should probably start doing.
I don't really like it when they rush too many details in an episode or two to try and finish. That is usually a sign of poor writing. It is probably much harder to write for a series over a movie screenplay. In movies, long novels don't make good movies either because of how many details they leave out.
For example, all of Stephen Kings long novels make bad movies, but his short stories have been great on the big screen. The Shawshank Redemption comes to mind. It was so close to the story Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption because of the short story format.

After tomorrow, the series will be half over. Still trying to figure out what the end game is, hardly any character development and the episodes are barely 30 minutes. At least Run-on has a much longer episode, so it will be easier to finish the plot and fill in more details on Dan-ah. Lovestruck in the city doesn't have the run time luxury at this point.
I never watched any sitcoms, so I can't relate to friends. They have spent so much time on JW and hardly any on EO post summer break up, it is going to be hard to gauge with beating up JW for half of each episode. I don't think it would be a good idea to have the big reveal at episode 16, but that looks like how it is shaping up.
Like I said, if it is more of the same tomorrow, I will probably drop it for now. I might binge the rest later depending how I feel about it.
I guess for me it is just too many negative things getting drawn out.. over and over again.. like a loop tape. Other moments that are lighthearted and funny are just too short and in between to make a big difference on how I feel about it so far.
I am hoping for a change of pace tomorrow, but I guess we will see.

I have been watching run-on too. It has been enjoyable. It has a nice flow to it. The characters have enough time for development. It hasn't been extremely dark. It has a good amount of humor.
Dan-ah, her character is a bit weird. She is very manipulative and seems driven by some unhealthy competition with her stepbrother. Her father seems like a complete jerk though. Forging birth documents, 10 month difference in birth with 2 mothers.. Seems like he doesn't want her to get the top spot in the company because she is female. Maybe there is a good reason.. I don't know. Those would appear to be actions of a slime. She doesn't always treat people very well, but she was a big part of getting KSG out of trouble. What her real motivations are? who knows!

I plan on watching the next episode, but if they spend another half an episode on the downward spiral, I probably will drop it. They have already reached the status of pathetic as a couple... present and past.
I would like to see more of the interactions of the others..but adding more salt to the wounds after the finger has already been cut off is just too much. I would actually like to see a few episodes without JW to see what the others are about. They keep tossing him in for another kidney blow now though.... how much lower can they go? Not much, so they might as well cut him out for a while.

I am trying to enjoy it.. I have enjoyed it, but they are going over the top on the breakup point. I guess he also forgot that he has one picture of himself and her to show his cousin/police.
I just think they should start cutting to the chase. The episodes are short, and if this is going to be about him losing his job, drinking alcohol and ending up living under a bridge or in jail.. then I am done. I have started to feel exasperated about the plot.
I just feel that it is getting old.. the plot needs to progress more. It's taking too long at this point.. We still don't know why EO had to become the "ahole". I am less than impressed that JW's family isn't helping him after at least a year or more after the "trip". I find it unlikely that he can booze at work with nobody noticing it.. either witnessing it, seeing the behavior or smelling it on his breath.
If I was EO, I thnk I would run too. He is overreacting, and probably maybe way too possessive as well. She isn't much better either. Her second excuse might be the worst excuse I have ever heard for what she is doing. She even spoke saying that her love for him is real. I find that hard to believe with the way she has treated him.
That aside, I have been enjoying more after the first 4 episodes, but they are stuck in a rut with the plot now. Perhaps the pace of episodes is my problem. This is a problem I am seeing in the drama's is with pace. (IMO) I am traditionally a movie watcher, so I am used to seeing it all play out in a couple of hours. It could be my expectations that are affecting how I feel about it. Perhaps it could also be the writing that isn't well matched to the time frame of the episodes? ie: so episode plots too short on information and some episodes too much plot information.
When I wrote that comment, I was just writing about how I am feeling about it right now. Perhaps you are right. I could be overanalyzing everything and losing my enjoyment.. haha. I might need therapy too! Perhaps I should not watch them live and wait for them to complete the series and then binge watch like you do.
I just wish they would start focusing more on other characters for the story and stop beating the dead horse with JW and EO. To me they are making the main characters more and more unlikable. I watched another drama that I feel that they did the same thing and then tried to cram too much in the last few episodes and ruined what could have been a good story just because of the pace of delivery. I am not sure where the "American" director is from.. but he has the strangest "American" accent I have ever heard. lol I think SSK sounds more "American" than he does when she speaks English. Sorry for the random rant...

That is the problem I am having.. translations. I have watched enough to know that it is lacking.. sometimes the same translation for a sentence that is used in two spots.. clearly different.. but the same translation. I have re-watched a few episodes and have noticed some translations have been modified as well... I know I am probably missing a lot.. but the only thing I can do is rely on it.. don't exactly have enough time to learn a new language... lol

Unfortunately JW isn't doing much of anything except drinking. Looks like she is dealing with it better than he is. He definitely needs to get his act together before he completely implodes. A year and he is still acting like this? It seems pretty obvious that she doesn't want anything to do with him.. It is starting to become painful to watch. Glad his cousin took the booze away from him. hopefully he keeps it away.

I believe that it is good to try to have good relations with your exes as well. Although I would never hang out with any of them.. but a cheerful exchange in passing? .. no big deal.
For me if it is jewelry clothing and stuff like that, I just donate it, pawn it, or trash it.
I will have to say, that I don't torch pictures. Anyone that I have been in a relationship long enough to have them, means that I am likely in them as well. I won't be displaying them on the fireplace mantle though!
