A show that I enjoyed completely, I recommend for everyone interested in "criminal minds". I used to watch the…
It's similar, but not based off of those though. I'd also like to add: some elements of Criminal Minds has really not aged well, and though some episodes are okay, I really don't recommend watching all of them.
This is not the series that you could binge-watched in one go. It's more like you step-by-step following Inspector…
I would've binged this, if I wasn't forced to wait for each episode to air. I agree, it's brilliant, my favourite drama this year, but while the ending is open-ish, I would argue that the story is completed. Song Ha Young's final line in the final episode summed up the whole thing. I'm pretty sure we won't be getting a season 2 (I also, personally, don't want one)
Okay so many ppl are not recommending this kdrama or have dropped it, is it really that bad? I was gonna start…
The discussion about consent is great, absolutely brilliant. If you feel like powering through because of the leads, you might get some enjoyment. Just expect an awful lot of fluff. Sometimes watchable fluff, sometimes incredibly average fluff.
hi... this is my first time stopping by this comment section and well im kinda shocked with these recent comments…
It has some great moments, like that discussion about consent (absolutely brilliant!) and then... some really, really average episodes. Yes, whiplash is a good way to describe it.
(Keep in mind I'm only halfway through)But I think in part the reason she receives so much hate ... is because…
I'd like her more if she were more effective at it. She could have heightened the tension in the whole story, making it more engaging. It was such a missed opportunity.
I first watched this in 2018. It was 9.2 at the time, soon dropping to 9.1. But ratings are popularity contests,…
I'm not sure. I'm a much harsher judge these days than I used to be, and I tend to rate things lower now. (or I would, if I cared about ratings on this site)...
But ratings here are very much... well, some dramas I consider train-wrecks (which I won't name, because I've been attacked for my opinions) are rated very highly, probably in part because of the cast. And their mystifying popularity.
But people might give higher ratings to something they love because they want it at the top of the list, and if the average rating is gradually sliding higher, your argument does make sense.
Line of Duty, a bbc show about police officers who root out corruption in the police force (and are thus very unpopular)... each season has an independent arching story-line with recurring main characters. It's pretty good, though I haven't seen the later seasons.
From memory, it has a similar vibe to Stranger (if you take into consideration that one is Korean, the other English.) It's been about 4 years since I watched it though.
Unfortunately, aside from those episodic who-dunnits my grandma reliably had playing in the background every time we visited, I haven't seen many other British detective shows. So I can't rec any more, but they do exist.
Nope! There's no romance. But their friendship is so heart-warming. This drama does not need romance to make it good. It is absolutely brilliant without romance. In fact, romance would ruin it, because the main lead is established as a character who... isn't particularly interested in relationships.
To elaborate how good is this show:Since, with time MDL users have accustomed to give higher ratings as if they…
I first watched this in 2018. It was 9.2 at the time, soon dropping to 9.1. But ratings are popularity contests, and this hasn't got romance (doesn't need it) so. I think a lot of people heard how great it is, watched it, and weren't impressed (maybe they don't like the genre), so they rated it lower.
If I watched this again, I'm not sure if I'd give it 10/10... but I've already seen it 3 times, so the tension isn't really there anymore.
Just finished the episode 2, well thay really took me by surprise...Are they going for a dexter vibe i wonder?
I'm pretty sure it's just a red herring. They're almost too obvious. Though it'd be great if the ML is somehow involved. This actor is one of my favourites, so he could pull it off.
This would be much more enjoyable if I could actually emotionally engage with the characters. But I've tried many times to finish this, and after a couple episodes, it feels like a chore. Even though this drama is well made with great performances, there's just something about it....
y'all comments about the female lead are BRUTAL wowhow's your internalized misogyny?? i have this lil feeling…
(Keep in mind I'm only halfway through) But I think in part the reason she receives so much hate ... is because her character doesn't really add much to the story. There's not much tension about her actually catching the anti-heroes, so all she does is take up screen time to very little effect. I like the actress and I like the IDEA of her character, I just think the writers didn't do her justice in the execution.
Also comments on this site have so much double standard. MLs can get away with murder, but FLs just need to make a couple mean comments for the pitchforks to come out.
