I want to watch this but 24 episodes is throwing me off. Apparently the whole rejection/confession doesn’t happen…
you can skip a whole chunk in the middle and not miss much. they go in circles forever with FL being dumb.

Pros: good casting, great chemistry. The leads have great very natural rapport with each other once they get together. Lots of kisses. Music OST is gorgeous and not overwhelming, sound effects fit nicely. Side characters are ok, really loved second couple.

Cons: Sexual Assault needs to be called out for what that was. It is not Ok just because it was a woman doing that to a man. It is not romantic or OK, ever. Pacing of this writing is so off base. Starts out odd but ok, and then gets so so exhausting to the point where everyone in the comments is complaining about it. Draggy. Pointless plot line. You will start to be so aggravated by the FL. Writers need to test these shows on audiences in advance of release and then edit the crap out of it. Is a little tropey in parts, but glad at least ML parents are pleasant. Would have liked more of second couple, and less of the grudge bearing.

Overall this thing is not going to win any awards, but it’s a pleasant watch (minus draggy parts) to pass the time. Miles Wei is just getting better and better. Stellar performance!

What an absolute disaster of a show. Relied on outrageous Viki ratings. 9.5 for what??!?! seems most people rated this before it was even 1/4 way in and there lies the problem. It started well with a great concept and went downhill progressively. Firstly, I have enjoyed KYD’s other dramas, but this script was so bad he spends most this show utterly depressed. His historical scenes were the only ones that showcased his talent. The FL is not suited for the role either. There was absolutely no chemistry between this couple. Any close scenes were awkward and the few kisses totally gross. So disappointed. Was so excited for this. I’m going to have to console myself with some of his other shows that actually killed. Don’t hold on to any hope it gets better either because it doesn’t. The story is a fail, the writers lean on old tropes that don’t sell dramas any more, and the ending…. meh. If you end a show not caring if they end up together or not - I think that is a writer fail. No emotion for the leads or this show. Sorry I bothered.

Lacking in chemistry and real frustration with this script over and over again. Nicely acted by mosr of the cast. General pops is my favorite. I ended up skipping several episodes because I am just done with these never ending episodes- but overall its a fantastic drama-

Xu Kai had a great emotional range here. Matched Leo Wu for pulling off the skills of a military leader, in acting and appearances, fighting, horse riding etc - even if it wasn’t him it looked great. I’m a fan of FL mostly but she came across more petulant during scenes where I needed to see some depth of emotion for the ML suffering. Chemistry was missing often.

It rates up there for me as a great historical cdrama. Perhaps if I had more hours to waste in my life 🤣🤣🤣 I’d have watched the whole thing but I did get irritated and bored in parts.

8/10.

Aside from the bratty younger sister and horribly obnoxious mother, I would say I really loved this show. Great script, kept me engaged from the get go. Well done!

Don’t hate me for this pls 😭 but I kinda skipped 90% of the leads parts after they got together for yuyou…
You didn’t miss much they broke up for the sake of a break up in the plot, the reason was childish. so what she chased after him in the first place for whatever reason but she fell in love for reals, but some reason ML has to leave her high and dry over it. Honestly he suspected ulterior motives from the start so why the big upset about it. They cut off all communication when really one little chat like the REST OF THE WORLD couples would do and all is solved. I loved Yu You & Shi Yue the best I wanted more of them too 😎

The music is weird with this one. That fanfare ugh please stop it was so cringe and weird. You’ve got Irish and the country western and then the usual typical cdrama stuff, like what on earth was going on with the soundtrack was just so random. I was really looking forward to this show and I’m giving it a 7.5 because it was a little disappointing. Two great leads should have produced a much better show, but the writing fails them this time. Yes the tropes are there, but honestly what killed this for me was the absolute ridiculous way they deal with issues. I am so exhausted by crappy writing for these break up tropes, grown adults upset about the most childish of reasons. The ages of the cast here should have produced more mature feel. It’s there in every other way except the relationship development. Once they are over the nonsense this show picks right back up and will leave a sense of completeness. I enjoyed the other couples, but oh boy the best friend and her advice sucked big time. Why are we believing the advice from a girl with commitment issues??? This could have been a real top show, but sadly it’s still not coming close to the excellence of Hidden Love.

So so close. The FL drove me nuts. Every single time they get close enough for a kiss she runs off. Seriously are we in middle school????!!! The non communication is ridiculous too. My faves might actually be the professor friend couple, that was clearly developing but oh so sweet as he realized how he felt. I do think the writing is the main problem here. so close but yet so far.

For me this was a mid show. I didn't like how Park Eun Bin portrayed the immaturity similar to the austistic behaviour…
I did feel a lot of similarities to her acting in Attorney Woo, but to be honest, what is she supposed to do. She’s an actor who is uniquely herself, and like all actors incl talented ones you see repeats of how they perform across the roles they play.

I did not expect that. In fact I wasn’t so sure I was going to even watch it. Something about it put me off. Couldn’t tell you either. However, that might just be in the Top 5 shows of the year for me. Hard to beat Forbidden Marriage & My Dearest, but it’s right up there. Incredible. 10/10.

On We Go Fast on Trust Dec 1, 2023
A very relaxed slower paced show, despite it being about formula racing lol, which is the only thing that goes fast here! The development of the romance is even slower so don’t expect anything to massively progress here. It is a nice drama though with actual adults for a change and not the typical silly childish FL. There was a nice script until later in the series when we get thrown the typical break up trope that makes zero sense and all it does is digress the FL role again. The last part of this felt a little out of sync with the direction it did feel like we were headed. Overall I’m giving this a 8, because I enjoyed the feel and the theme. Skipped alot of the last 5-6 episodes.

This show is a 5 from me. And I’m being generous. Oh what a major disappointment. Honestly I’m surprised our beloved “Park” duo even knew what they were getting into when they agreed to the Cameo’s - which are a highlight of course. What an embarrassing show to be connected with. Stay for the eye candy of the main men of the show. The cop team were the best actors by far and worth sticking around for aswell, but oh boy that FL destroyed the show. Her acting is brash and childish throughout, the romance, I’m sorry is non existent- theres nothing believable about the ML or the baddy falling in love with her the way they did, nope not at all. Zero chemistry. Looked forward to this one the minute the project was announced but they screwed it up big time in the way this was casted and directed. The story gets draggy in parts too. I ended up skipping a ton towards the end just to get it over with. This is not the sequel you hoped for.
