That's a bit of a weird take since new actors take whatever is there, they can't be picky lmao.. It's on the directors choice of purposly having these types of couples frequently and us watching them tbh 🤷 i like balanced couples and I want new actors to have big projects equally as the young actresses. So why is the trend to pair young actresses with other old/er actors be it rookies or veterans most of the time. That's what I am saying and I find it uncomfortable to watch so I am simply not going to watch

They are meant to be like that. It's a quick trash enjoyment 😅

Enjoyable watch loved the main leads and the warm family. It's a good revenge drama.

Strong villains that you love to hate or you sometime hate and sometimes symptize with (idc I love the grand princess, terrific actress the way.
The family dynamics : a warm father and brother who are not patronizing but a pair of cinnamon rolls
The royal arc was the best to me especially the consort selection and empress di and her daughter
The outfits especially the sky blue one with the milky Jade necklace that complimented the skin tone
Loved how intelligent the FL is always one step ahead of her enemies

The brother romance (couldn't get into it at all, wish it wasn't there)
The ending was rushed I couldn't figure out if I missed an episode of cui xin arrived ecc.

Overall verdict the pros outweighed the cons and it was a very enjoyable watch : a 9 for me.

Hmm the drama itself ends on an open ending but the bonus episode is a happy ending

I don't really care about the dead part. I can't imagine marrying an older sister husband after she dies even if I don't know her. I am a bit conflicted with this info especially since there is a kid involved

I am pretty sure I have never rated a drama that has 2 years of age gap without watching and for the age gap a 1. It's must have been a terrible drama and my range is 5 years. I can understand 30's having a big age gap but 20s are a no and below are just creepy and highly uncomfortable that I can't like it. If you like a 19 year old with an almost 30 year old guy. That's on you babes..i am not the problematic one here your tastes and what you deem normal is creepy if you look at them and you are like yeah that's completely normal. Even if you like age gaps and have no problem with that which I can accept and respect anything below 20 is a baby if you can't drink and drive I don't want accept it!
