So i really liked this season, because of the character growth of our favorite Survivors and the introduction of Park Chan Young. (He and Lee Eun Yoo have a very interesting dynamic which i love) I am also very excited of how the story will move on and what this "new" kind of monsters are all about. Is it really some step in human evolution? Nature getting rid of Humans? Ah i can't wait for the next season.
However, there is one thing i absolutly hated this season: ....the time skip. This unecessary time skip that killed all the suspense and emotional buildup. Why? Why such a time skip in the middle of the seaon!? It felt like two seasons instead of one. We get bombarded with uninteresting side characters and only get all the very important events in flashbacks. I mean...what the hell were the director, producers and rest thinking? It sucked! The things told in the flashbacks were very important for our characters, so why only tell it through flashbacks way to late in the story? Damn. That really pissed me off! It took me right out of the season and confused me to no end. Ah, i still can't get over it. If they told the story linear it would have been so much better for the flow of the story :(
If you hate intelligent characters making stupid decisions, then you should stay away from this one. Overall enjoyable except characters turning into dumb idiots suddenly and not many likable characters. But i LOVED the concept and the overall story idea. So i'll still give this 8.5 out of 10.
This is a very cool Story! The acting was perfect and the setting was awesome. The brutality however... It was way over the top and very disgusting. I had to look away quite often because it was just too much. I don't know why movies need this much gore, but i wish there was a less gory version. I mean it's not as bad as the uncut versions of Saw, but jesus. Filmmakers need to calm down. This could have been some super cool Action/Sci-Fi movie for a wider audience. Like "The Witch Part 1" which had a lot of blood but nowhere near the gore portrayed in Project Wolf Hunting. Would have given this a solid 9, but all this over the top gore made me reconsider it. Still pumped for a sequel tho!
Why is this so good? Like srsly. I just clicked on it and was expectings nothing and then i was blown away! The acting is top, the music is very fitting and, god dang, the story! The story is so interesting with all these different characters and their secrets. It also shows some very real and very disturbing bullying and what the victims go through. How no one actually helps them and how they have to live with that trauma for the rest of their lives. It's scary and dark and then there are those very sweet und cute moments. Happiness seeking through and wow. I just love this! One of the very few kdramas where i wasn't skipping any scences! Can't wait for the second season. I got many ideas how the end could turn out and i am super excited to see where they will go with the ending.
This Drama is unhinged! All the characters are insane and they only make bad decisions. There is not ONE rational thinking person. Still...somehow it got me hooked. I always wanted to know what they do next. I love it and hate it at the same time and thats super weird :D The acting...the ACTING was insane. Loved it. Same for the music and production.
I absolutly loved the webtoon. In fact Annarasumanara is one of my favorite webtoons to this day. So i was super excited for this drama and they caught the essence of the webtoon brilliantly. Kinda sad that it only has 6 episodes, because ih loved the characters so much! As for the looks of the characters...i just had to take half a point off. In the webtoon it was quite the big thing for Yoon Ah Yi/ Ai Yun to cut her hair short and the white hair and very different (western) look of Ri Eul/The Magician was also kinda important. So it kinda annoyed me a little bit that they changed their appearances. But besides that i really liked the music in this drama and thats pretty new for me, because i am not that into musical stuff. 9,5/10 ♥
I agreed with you too. find it very hard for me to laugh. Maybe its because I fail to get the comedy point or…
I don't think its about age. It's just different humour. I loved the jokes in "Goblin" because those jokes were acted well. Here? It felt bland and on the nose. Yeah i read about that a lot. A lot of their fans watched this movie bc of the actors and actresses and felt disappointed. I think it was the script and the actors/actresses tried their best, but you can only do so much if the script is badly written :/ But i am glad that i am not alone with my opinion :) <3
I agree with you! I had a hard time finding anything in this movie funny... And I wish they focused more on the…
I feel you. The girls had actual potential. The backstory of the princess might have been super interesting if they took it that route. Or give our lady captain some backstory dammit. She deserved it so much :( I also love romance. Like in "Pirates of the Caribbean". Will and Elizabeth had such a good lovestory. And the chemistry was just wow. But here? Fet utterly forced down our throats :/
So, this could have been a fantastic movie! The visual effects and music are great and the story is in it's base interesting enough, BUT.. ...the comedy bro. I've never seen a movie that tries so hard so be funny and then fails miserably. I didn't laugh once at the jokes. Felt like they were written by 12 year olds. "Haha the animals are biting into his ass. Haha". Like..c'mon! The fact that Wu Mu Chi's character was literally build on stupid jokes and even more stupid behaviour to seem funny, ruined his character as a whole. I don't know if the actor just couldn't act the part of it was shitty writing, but i wished Wu Mu Chi would just die. I think they tried to make him seem like "Captain Jack Sparrow" but all we got was some dumb man, who could fight with a sword. And don't get me started on the whole "Mak Yi" - Character. I have NO words for that disaster. The only characters i actually enjoyed were girls and Kang Seob. They had like this balance between serious and comedic interactions.
Oh and the romance was like the worst shit if seen this year. Totally forced and the actors had 0 chemistry. Just let the badass girl be as she is. She doesn't need a man or a romantic relationship! She is perfectly fine on her own dammit :'(
ohh I'm planning to read this book! I'm glad you got to know something thanks to this article ^^ its always good…
You really should! It's a fantastic book. Brutal and shocking and it makes you feel utterly depressed but you will also think a lot. It was a very fascinating experience. :)
thank you for your comment! of course we should educate ourselves, especially when we are watching a historical…
100% agree with you @ncampau ! Movies/Books made me read up on so many historical events. That's when you just know a Book/Drama/Movie is just very well done.
Interesting. So please can you spell out one by one the history distortions that were actually proven?Cosn so far…
Even if there are distortions: Every Book/Movie/Drama/whatever that is based on real historically events has these distortions. I mean, if i would get mad at every distortion in "world war 2 germany" movies, then i would be mad ALL the time. If i want to see a 100% true story or just information/facts about a time period, I'll watch a documentary, not a Drama/Movie. Blaming international fans for not boykotting and even liking it? Bruv. I think most of the ppl that enjoy this drama weren't even born at that time. Or didn't even know there was a controversy around this drama at all. Important is that we shouldn't downplay the pain of the ppl that lived in that time and are getting triggered by this drama! That's without question and shouldn't be up for debate. For me personally this drama makes me interested in that period of time and i want to research about it. So idk. It's a very interesting discussion and i really do understand both sides to some extends.
I thought this drama was purely fictional and now i learn that there was even a full controversy around it! Wow. That said, i think i will still continue watching it because it's very good. The acting, the production. It's just top notch. Love it! I think i even read a book that was playing at the same time in South Korea. "Human Acts" by Han Kang if i am not mistaken. Now i know why this "Protesting can get you killed" seemed so familiar. I even remember googeling if the events in the book were real and what happend historically at the time. The way books and shows can get you interested in history is just insane. I'll probably do some more reasearch of that time period in south korea after watching this Drama. Thanks for the article! :)
So instead of very dangerous zombies, we got absolutly stupid car-chasing scenes. Right. Yeah. The CGI cars bro. The CGI cars. I probably shouldn't be that mad at a movie, but dang. I dislike it so very much. Such a good story wasted like this. A real shame :/ I really liked the cast, but i didn't feel one thing for the characters. I only wished for this movie to end.
So, the police are total dummies. How surprising...i literally wanted to shake them for being this incompetent :D I liked the creepy vibe of the Drama and the actors did an amazing job!
