Sooooo...i think i never saw a Drama with such a boring Lovestory.
The overall story was very predictable but still enjoyable. The villain was very interesting and the acting on his part was very well done! I wish there would have been more backstory to him rather than this boring "cute and fun" - couple time tbh.
A lot of situations and reactions were rather overdramatic and i skipped most of the romance-scences. I think i would have liked this drama more, if the tone would have been a little darker and the overall story a little bit more realistic in terms of reactions and police work. But well. Still enjoyed it :)

You mentioned bad subs..well i can't cope with bad subs, so i always have to drop chinese dramas if the subs are pure google translate. Is there a site you can recommend that has this drama with good subs?

I totally agree with you! If "Age of Youth" only had one season, there wouldn't have been all this amazing character growth.

I literally felt the answer to the last question deep in my heart. Like: The Second Lead should get the girl sometimes. No, not sometimes..let's say about 40% of the time. It would keep the audience guessing who the Leads end up with.
Also, why is korea making so frigging long Dramas with like 16 Episodes, if the story is done after like 12 Episodes. EVERY TIME! I skip sooo much while watching korean dramas. The japanese have the perfect formular in my opinion. Short seaons, but if the audience loves the drama it gets a second season or a final movie. Sweet.

Oh, and i wish there would be more chinese dramas on netflix or amazon prime. I thank the gods for every subbed chinese drama, but sometimes the subs are just simply awful, which drives me crazy :( I started "The Romance of Hua Rong" and the subs were very good. After 11 Episodes they changed the translator to Google. I can't bro. The pain i feel! :D

Thank you @pandalla008 and @jhsuan for your answers and thoughts! I totally agree with you both. I also find Hase just way more interesting than Hongyo but i still don't like any character in this drama. Or to phrase it differently: None of them would appear on my favorite characters list.
They piss me off so much in this drama, and yet i can't stop watching.^^

What i still can't comprehend is that many people seem to defend Hongyo and make Hase to be the bad guy in all of this. Not here, but on the site i watched this Drama on, there were plenty of people who were expressing how much better Hongyo is and that they deem anyone stupid who likes Hase. But i was so repulsed by Hongyo since the first episode that i honestly can't see why people think that. All 3 characters are totaly flawed and should probably see a doc for their psychological problems. There wouldn't be a healthy relationship no matter who ends up with who. So all of them should remain single until they have their life figured out. Argh. It's driving me nuts :D

So, i am probably the only person that likes Hase more than Hongyo. The shit in the past where Hongyo "got out of control, because he liked her expression" is just so creepy bruh.
He didn't even ask for her permission if i remember it right and she felt like shit after it. Way to go man! And then getting all touchy after meeting her again? This dude has some serious sex problems. Using her to satisfy his lust. I really can't see how anyone would say he is better than Hase. (Not saying that Hase hasn't got any issues. That guy is manipulativ as hell!)
But i think the most crazy one is Terada. Getting emotionally used by one guy and getting used for sex by the other...really. Someone needs to save that girl from herself. Still haven't figured out how she gotten from popular with high self esteem to no-self esteem at all. Did i accidentally skip some episode where that was explained?

What a nice looking movie! The CGI looked very very good!
I knew the Story from the anime "Kaiji" and the live action movie, but i think i might like this adaptation best so far. The actors did an awesome job and i am hyped for a second movie!
(Hopefully there will be a second movie. There just must be..they showed the "to be continued" after all. Don't let me down movie makers!)

Oh and i basically have a little crush on that "Ando" character. I don't know why, but men wearing black with such cool tattoos on their faces/head and this whole badass-bad-guy-attitude are too irresistible :D

After this drama is done, can someone spoiler me, if and who she ends up with? I am not much of a "female teacher - male student"- Relationship Fan, so i am quite hesitant if i should watch this or not.

I also get confused with titles and names. It takes some time to get behind it. >.<
"The King gave him the new title of a prince but wasn’t he a prince from the beginning?" i asked the same question abou the monarchy of great britain xD I mean, Prince of "Wales", Duke of "Whatever", Earl of "i don't know" and so on. It's just confusing. If the Drama you are watching really is based on historical events, i think you can read about the relationships and titles on the internet. I do that with a lot of historical shows, not just with asian ones, but also with western ones :)

Yeah me too. They should just put different characters in the story or focus on something else instead of just switching actors. I mean, they don't look alike at all! I hated that in Age of Youth 2. I mean the story was fantastic but i couldn't get used to the new actress that played a beloved character so differently :/

I wish that everyone would read the book it's based on, because it's much better plotwise. At least the movie was as atmospheric as the book and the actors did a pretty good job. The plot on the other hand seemed way to rushed. A mini Series would have been so much better! Especially the scene with the dog. Man i felt so empty afterwards. :(

But i really really love your casting choices! It shows how much effort you put in and how you considered every aspect of the characters, those actors need to portray. :)

Furukawa Yuki will always be Irie Naoki. Hand down. That guy was perfect in that role.
Can't agree that Lee Soo Hyuk is a bad actor tho. I think he is quite good, but i do think he can still improve :)
