I liked it in general, except some of the intimacy between the main couple seemed a bit how do I say it, forced ? not too drastically , but sometimes I had the thought of " are they even not each other ? " I guess if you changed the soundtrack, and cut out the kissing in the first nine episodes, you could tell me they´re brothers or cousins....okay I did not have the feeling constantly, but often enough to disturb me from the story. To be honest at times it just felt like bunch of straight guys playing BL make-believe :D ...which would probably be the case (or not, no idea honestly) however , there are definitely nowadays Korean BLs where that feeling is no longer present so it make me a bit disappointed. Othe than that it felt somewhat warm and wholesome, the production was really nice and the soundtrack good. The actors were cute of course :D
I can´t seem to get into it for some reason. Maybe it´s partly the visuals and camera work which are not exactly my cup of tea ? I can´t really pinpoint it, but it is not good combo overall fr my mood I guess.
It's Netflix. ALL Netflix dramas/movies have smoking, nudity, sexual content/references, etc. If any don't then…
:D:D:D I just simply complied with your request to enlighten in terms of Netflix´s PG-13 drama content, honestly you literally made the request in the post so I took it half seriously....sorry if it sounded somewhat offensive to you?? For me personally, I don´t really care beyond the amusing factor. I do believe characters are just it, characters....so if they are written smokers or non-smokers it´s simply part of them same as their haircut or wardrobe. As for the "nudity," I am not sure where there is much of it in dramas. maybe you could enlighten me in that aspect instead...however, I am definitely a fan of the k-drama shift from closed-eyes-closed-lips + pained expression combo kisses to more human-like behavior :D -"I know leads are quite often heavy smokers in k dramas" I haven't found this to be true. ..... for this part I admit I may be wrong, I do not keep stats, I just wanted to illustrate not only Netflix based dramas does that (as you sounded a bit biased), from top of my head I remember Doom at your service, The Reply series, My Roomate is a gumiho, Project Wolf Hunting....
I love how I can´t fully hate the main leads :D I mean it is straight-up sexual harassment at the workplace, and it being done by the subordinate for a change does not help really anything. However they are both so freaking cute and cheeky that I can´t help but smile. But I was really glad they came to some consensus so quickly, definitely did not expect that but appreciated it. Now if they just continued with the cuteness and simply made me envious for the rest of the series I would honestly love that....but well what are the odds of that in a drama right ?
I have my doubts there ....like the twitching and why do the last minute transfusion , seemed like "we´ll see how popular this gets and then decide so leaving it a room " thinking

I know leads are quite often heavy smokers in k dramas, it is just funny within the concept here...also the character does not know ' bout the air clearing itself when he took upon the smoking so it ia still quite ironic of him . About the special effects that is indeed a fun fact. I am actually not criticizing the drama for it, seems that did not come across for some reason? I was just pinpointing what amused me , same with Doom at your service where the poor character puts one cigarette after another into his mouth, but the guy just never gets to light/smoke it . It always amused me as well...now I kinda wonder if that was just for fun or on purpose to spare Seo In -Gyuk's lungs 😁 Btw I am not quite sure as I don't play the moral committee, but perhaps some of the hostorical dramas (like King's affection ?) don't get much smoking or nudity ? If you mind it, might wanna try out those instead :)
Buhahaha what kills me is that planet´s dying of air pollution, you literally need to buy your oxygen....but the lead character still smokes one after another :D I like the feeling, I like the visuals , don´t care much for the story so far, it seems to me basically Resident Evil-like general plot wise.
Ok, I like this drama way more than expected, the "relapse" I hoped they would not write in was indeed there, I feel like that was a bit too much, buuuut she seems to be back on the sassy track, yipee . Now am I the only one who finds Sang Jin and U-ri annoying as hell? Together as well as separately. Also, I find it tremendously amusing how Soo Hyuk apparently does not really notice he seems to do more for Deborah in those few weeks than for his "girlfriend" of four years before . I assume the big "twist will be that the ex-girlfriend does not have a new boyfriend in the end thus there will be a "choice" , but never mind bit of predictability, I like the lead couple together s far, the chemistry, as well as the banter, keeps me entertained enough:)
It was silly, but fun, the fountain "fight" gave some serious Bridget Jones´ diary feeling. I did not like the ending of it, especially the last episode felt very disconnected. Also I found this on Canadian Prime Video, if you want to stream it.
LOL found this on Prime by accident , I was thinking of re-watching the K-drama but doing it like this is even better. The differences are fun to watch . I personally prefer the Kversion , but it is just my preference , both have it´s charm-
Oh, pleasant surprise, I did not expect much but it made me smile actually. Hope it will last this way longer, I was craving some normal rom-com that would make me laugh so much , I a usually not a fan of Yoo In Na , but here I think it suits her.
So I managed through all that awkward staring into nothing , silences and ton of veeery slow walking . It was not so easy. But in the end I was still so confused , why exactly was the break-up necessary? They said it was because she could not date him if it made her family suffer....but who exactly would suffer really ? The hypocrite of an older sister who hapily dates Jun and does not give a damn anymore, or the brother who goes on shopping trip with Dongjin, or the wrapped -up-in-herseld mother who invites him for food "anytime he wants to eat something"? those guys would really find it so insufferable that she dated him (at their pace more like one date in half a year) ?? That idiotic notion was so much amplified by the lenght of their "breaking up" that it left me kinda exhausted. It starts to be too much lately, these families who apparently don't give a slightest damn about their kids' happiness at all. Meybe it is because the Real has come started as well...the combo is just really something . I can't even concentrate on the "romance "aspect of these dramas since the damiliesnof the main leads are so.... aggravating.
so I had to check again the year for this one, had I not know it already, I would totally believe it was made in 2014 or something. I usually find the over-the-topness and old-schoolness of kdrama rather funny and charming, but this one's too much . The toxicity of both families is tremendous. Also I am no great feminist , however even for me this level of blatant discrespect for pregnant women is too high to endure without grinding my teeth every other scene. I guess that is supposed to be the point , and plot engine as well, but damn does it make it very hard to watch . Interestingly I don't really have any problem with the FL's character. Nor the ML's for that matter ,except for his decision to voluntarily marry that b**ch , should've kept his spine back there. Inmean she's week 8-9 at this point , that is very early, she could very well lose the fetus naturally still. And here there are bunch of people, some of them even total strangers , throwing life changing decisions her way ? And her mother and brother , are they actively trying to induce miscarriage in turns, definitely seems that way. Still can't decide which toxic person is the worst , there are so many... But if I really, really had to chose one, probably OHDs mother in the end takes the cake
Yea, she's literally an orphan. By their own rules she should be forbidden as a candidate. But then again, nobody…
I mean usually there is shaman or two or at least some sort of talisman actually working in the historical ones , so I guess that part there was a bit ridiculous but kinda to be expected :D What confused me a bit was the queen, surely there were much better candidates for her freaky revenge plot than the prince right? It was the king who signed it and the right side minister who plotted , the price had literally nothing to do with it and was just a kid back then . The whole survivors bunch killed lots of pretty much innocent people, but never directly targeted anyone directly responsile for that masacre, hence their redemption arc did literally nothing for me in the end. But then again I kinda agree with the decision to just suck it all up and break that cursed circle, I don´t mind the prince´s character at all in that aspect. I wish Jae Yi had a bit bigger role than damsel in distress towards the end.
To be honest I enjoyed the commentary special somewhat more than the actual drama. The two of them seemed to have better chemistry IRL than their characters at times. Then again I feel like the Dating Sim spoiled me rotten so my expectation are now too high.
Why do the FLs start up so strong and endup so wishy washy by the end of the drama ? And if they planned on this kind of ending anyways why the "waiting gap"? I don´t get it? Also I know she was innocent and all, but didn´t they have pretty strict rules there about the crown princess´family? Well they´re all cute together and this year there were not as many good dramas s ofar so I can forgive this whole mess I guess.
I grew quite fond of the red hair Dong Wook´s sporting in the series, so I am glad it will make it´s comeback lol. Is it just me who digs this look or am I totally projecting since I have red hair myself? :D
I’m still hoping Viki will buy the rights for Europe. It doesn’t look like it and Netflix isn’t showing…
I watched it anyways , found out it was available in France when I was on vacation :D but yeah, I still requested it for my country as well , it is nice to have them handy :D
