Title My Stand-In
Care to elaborate on why you find both characters similar?
Hi! Sorry I just now saw your comment.
But here is a summary as to I find them similar.
First of all both are from powerful families and money.
Second both are arrogant and start off getting in to the lives of their partners in pretty devious ways and reasons.
They treat them as if they own them.
Both have physically hurt and kidnapped their partners, manipulated them ,kept things from them.

The difference is that Kinn get likeable around episode 6. But before that audience know that there is an attraction between Kinn and Porsche. We know Kinn likes Porsche. It's undoubtable that he does.

I wanted to add in some quotes. But my comment is long enough. But last thing I want to share is this gif from Tumblr that explains the similarities. It's quite well done.

He is a psycho, we alreadt knew that 🤷🏾‍♀️
I think one of their main complaints is that Ming doesn't treat Joe nicely. Also, episode 4 really turned some people against this character. I do wonder if it wasn't for episode 4 would people still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt? Maybe, who knows?

Anyways, this whole Ming treated Joe horribly and so forth. Yes, but Joe wasn't exactly the nicest either. Just because Joe is more likeable doesn't mean he isn't flawed.

For example in episode 4 Joe calls Ming and says to leave. He doesn't explain why, he just says pack your things and leave. Now switch that perspective and imagine if it was Ming saying this instead of Joe. People would side with Joe.

Another thing what the viewers know and what the characters know is completely different. The viewers sometimes now ahead on what is going to happen, but the character has no clue as to what type of situation they're in.

So, I could understand why Ming felt upset during that call. Because it felt very much that Joe was saying "hey I got bored of you". Ming feels that Joe was using him.
He wasn't but that is how it looks like in Ming's eyes.
As Ming does say later this to Joe:
"You told me to move in, so I moved in. And now you're kicking me out? What am I to you?"
(okay maybe this translation isn't the best)
But doesn't it sound a lot like what Joe would have said to Ming?
Eventually as we all know their argument continued at the house.
But what I find it darkly humorous is that both of them think they are sleeping with another person.
And the thing is they're both valid in their arguments.
Because they don't have the full context that we the viewers do, We know there is nothing going on between Sol and Joe.

But does Ming know that? Not really. We know that there isn't nothing going between Ming and Tong. As in they are not sleeping together. But Joe doesn't know that he assumes that they do. Miscommunication at its finest on both sides.

Oh my goodness, whoever reads this essay. Respect. I didn't mean for it to be so long. Sometimes I overly analyse. Because I'm such a film nerd.

Why do you all want Ming to become someone he's not 🥺?Why should he change the way he is with others? He doesn't…
Here is my opinion that nobody asked for. I'm surprised on how much I don't hate Ming. And no I'm perfectly sane. And no I'm not blind either. I know everything that has been said by both sides on Ming. I agree on some and disagree on others. But I can't help but remember the small flashback in episode 3. I believe I'm might be wrong . Where it shows a flashback of younger Ming. Who had a much different personality. He was quiet, reserved and even more polite. It always stood out to me even if it was short.

Unpopular opinion (and it’s crazy that it’s even considered unpopular in this comment section):But this is…
Just curious how do you look at the world? In black and white?

Honestly never understand the total blame of Ming for Joes death. Yes he contributed, but at the end it was Joes…
I think it was because of episode 1. As it was implied that Ming had something do with Joe accident. I mean I can't argue he didn't play a role, but he wasn't the only one. But I think this information alienated the audience from Ming. And the later episodes just soured their opinion on his character, disregarding the fact that Joe wasn't perfect either. Hurt goes both ways and that's what they did to one another.

For some reason I find a lot of similarities between Ming, and Kinn from Kinnporsche. Except Kinn is a beloved character. While Ming reputation still divided. Though I definitively think that the show would have benefited if it was longer. Maybe 14 episodes?

I mean Ming showed his humanity even at the earlier episodes. It's just that you need to really zoom in, dissect, and analyse what he is saying. Because is not like Joe who is more open in expressing his thoughts and feelings.

Sol is “Gone with the Wind” 😋
Honestly, they should all three have a Polyamarous relationship and call it a day. Can you imagine the bickering? Comedy at its finest.

That's what I've been saying the whole time! Joe knew from the start that Ming was a red flag. His only problem…
I have that feeling Joe likes Ming because he is so dominating and controlling. But also because he could open with Ming in a way he couldn't with Sol or any other. Joe is one of few who saw Ming as a person, and treated him sincerely. And I think sincerity broke some of the walls Ming had build around himself.

The man fell to his knees at first sight, what do you expect?!I even laugh when Poom answering fans: But Joe Love…
For example in episode 2 Joe was happy with that Ming got jealous. He was teasing throughout the episode. I think they compliment each other well. They are the imperfect & perfect couple if that makes sense?

It's not even out yet and already there has been a few fanfics written on this show. For those who want to know where you can find some fanfics it is from archive our own. And after this there will be likely more to come. Something tells me Anawin and Damon is going to be the popular ship. Regardless if it's canon or not.

Title Save Me Season 2 Spoiler
I really don't have an issue with the pacing of the show. I also don't expect Min-cheol to suddenly change and become a rational and level-headed person. I was not surprised when he confronted Elder Choi in the church. It was predictable given Min-cheol's character. Though I'm curious to see how he will expose Elder Choi and his men. I actually do worry about Elder Choi plans for Young Sun, now that he knows who she is I think he will use her as a leverage against Min-cheol

I view this drama as a character driven one than a plot driven one. And my goodness Kyung-seon she is my favorite. I think its because the writer wrote her as a real human being. The problem people have with her I guess its because she has too many flaws but that is what I like about her. I'm getting tired of watching a female lead that is so morally good she is literally an angel.

Thank you for writing the article!:-)

Title Queen for Seven Days Spoiler
Actually the king never forcerfully kissed her. Dramabeans wrote recap of episode 11"at the very last second,…
Fair enough :)
However, the reason as to why I'm more lenient towards the king is that what I see in him is a broken man who is tormented by his own demons. After all he is his own worst enemy. And at the beginning whenever he was with Chae Kyung, I felt that this were the few times he was genuinely happy and free.
To bad his own self-loathing won him over.

My guess as to why people shipped her and him ,was because they kept hoping she would be the one to guide him from the darkness.

To be fair in the end I didn't want her to be with either of them. One of them is mentally unstable and the other one is a weakling who can't even protect his own wife.

Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to write such a long post. But this what happens when I get carried away.
Bye!

Is that bad uno?
Even though I have no desire to watch it because I know how it ends. If you dislike it that much then just drop it, trust me you will feel so much better.
I watched clips from this drama here and there and thought that this had the potential of being somewhat good.
Sigh what a waste.....
My advice for you is to read recaps from Dramabeans.
Overall I blame the writers and the directors.
I'm more neutral about the actors, because I hold the believe that good director can make an average actor look good, and a bad director can make a good actor look bad.
In case you didn't know but this drama had 3 directors +3 creative directors working with this project. So, yeah this one was doomed from the start.
By the have you seen "Suspicious Partners" or "Jugglers"? For me those dramas were a pain to sit through.
On A Korean Odyssey Mar 6, 2018
To all of you who didn't know but this drama had 6 directors working on this project. Three of them were Creative directors, with that many directors it was inevitable that will end up being a mess.
