omg i've watched the movie but I don't remember much of it o_O
Hello ! I just saw your message and my internet behaves like a capricious child. The film is science fiction romance. Involves two main characters Joel and Clementine. In this film its possible to erase your memories if you desire so by going through a specific procedure. Clementine had done so, and while Joel is saddened he decided to go through it too. But as his memories gets erased he recalls the good times too, and start to regret going the procedure. After his memories are erased he feels like he needs to go to Montauk. That's where he and Clementine first met. So, he goes to Montauk and meets her there. One of the employees of the procedure gives them their record. Usually people leave records of why they decided to get the procedure. The couple listen to the record. And are saddened to hear the bitter memories they had of one another. Clementine leaves again by Joel stops her and while she admits her fears , he listens and simply responds with "okay". They agree to try again because the memories they had are worth that much. And that is my short summary of the film. I always love the ending because its so simple yet open to interpretation. But that is how life is it isn't very logical. Neither is relationship.
I don't why but the finale of this drama reminded me of the film "Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" (2004). Maybe it's the themes. But I think the familiarity comes with the couples final decision.
I tried to watch episode 1 and after it ended I knew it wasn't for me. Which is a shame because I wanted to like it. Maybe its just me but I don't feel any chemistry between the characters. And I don't mean the supposedly future main couple. I mean all of the characters. .Don't worry I won't be continuing writing on this platform again, just sharing my opinions. This is the first and last one I will post here. As chances of me continuing to watch this drama is very slim.
Now that you said it, i just realized we never get to know what conversation Ming and Tong had that time.
Most probably what happened is Tong saying he accepts Ming being gay. Or something along those lines, of saying I will be your loyal ally, or some kind of nonsense. At least that what I came up with.
Unpopular opinion (and it’s crazy that it’s even considered unpopular in this comment section):But this is…
Hello! It's my fault I should have made my comment clear on that I don't want to discuss any further. Frankly, because it will be completely one-sided and thus to me pointless. And I don't have the patience in dealing this. I have my opinions on life and you have yours. I was actually contemplating on how to respond without sounding like a bitch. But I feel like I have given up the correct approach. Because if I don't respond I will look a coward. So, goodbye then.
The “I don’t like people “ is what makes Ming feel consistent to me. Because I recall how quiet he was , when he was inside Joe’s car. I’m referring to episode 1. Also, a small detail I remember in episode 5 is how Joe knows that Ming doesn’t like flattery. Which once again shows me that Ming has shared a lot of himself to Joe. Sadly, we didn’t get to see more of it. Oh well, there’s always fanfics to fill up the void.
And now the things that I love about this episode. I really loved how composed Ming was in the mafia lair and…
Hello again! Now that you mention episode 7. I did have an issue with it too. Only because its staff are the same that worked in Kinnporsche. And that drama managed to adress later a controversial scene. At least it felt like it did more than My stand In. And I say it again I think My stand in should have been 14 episodes, not 12. But meh that's just me. :)
Ok ...is episode 11 that bad???. I don't know what happened in the novel. People all over seem soo pissed 😂.…
It's best to wait till episode 12 arrives. And if most of us will say its sucks then yeah drop it. Its not that episode 11 is bad. But if I was the writer and director. I would have a made a couple of changes. I wish it got a bit of Kinnporsche treatment.
I took this idea from someone else on a different platform. He/she said, what if Joe 1 never died? He's been in…
Honestly, it would kind of makes sense if it was a dream. Also, who’s to say that his time with Ming. Wasn’t just Ming telling him of what Joe had missed in those years. Whilst he was in a coma. Like visiting and talking to him.
This is going in my top 10 BLs. I did NOT have this being on my list as the greatest of 2024 when I saw the trailer,…
I think Joe getting shot should have been more impactful. It was very rushed. However, I feel that Up performance will be best in the last episode. Though the thing with Ming isn’t as expressive as Joe. Which I find interesting. Because that makes him harder to read. Also, I feel like Ming was losing his mind after Joe closed his eyes. Its just that shock takes time. So, we unfortunately don’t get to see that. Also, could time was running out.But if episode 12 indicates on a flashback of how Ming dealt with Joe1 disappearance. Then it will good enough for me.
Either I need better glasses. But when Ming holds Joe after he got shot. There is a moment where you can see his watch. Is that the same watch Joe gave him on Christmas. It looks blue-ish. Was it just me. Makes it even more heartbreaking.
Honestly, I would have been okay if the series had ended right there, with him going through that door into the…
I mean if it was Japanese drama then it would have ended there. Because for some reason Japanese drama love sad endings. Especially genres like these. I can't remember a Japanese drama with a happy ending. Then again it has been awhile. But the 90s dramas of Japan ouch. Left me bawling mess.
I always love the ending because its so simple yet open to interpretation. But that is how life is it isn't very logical. Neither is relationship.
