what did everyone expect? that they will magically stop the game which has almost billionaire backup? bro that's…
Stop the games, saved most remaining players and they get brainwashed as well, so they are suddenly nice people 🙄🤦🏽♀️ Last hope was voting before final game. They could’ve divided the money between nine people, but nope…🤷🏻♀️
I see a lot of comments about “VIPs” but that may be the only or one of the only realistic things here. First…
Exactly. Their portrayal was great. Even the stupid cartoony behaviour and lame comments. That’s who they are. I am not going to name names, but you can easily guess few people around the world who already behave similarly and don’t even hide it anymore… Imagine how they behave behind closed door. Like I wrote in my comments before: Entitled rich monsters.
as someone who doesn’t fall into that category I was still annoyed at the ending, not because it was sad but…
But if you watch enough Kdrama, you know that oftentimes you simply don’t get conclusions and answers. Especially with political dramas, which revolve around high politics. It sort of mirror real life, where those with power get everything. Cover everything up, or runaway. And next ambitious evil lurking around to take them on or take over.
as soon as Episode 2 was over, this season was no longer worth watching. Last 2 ep were underwhelming, predictable,…
Predictable? Anything but. You can’t say you knew exactly how each player is going to die. (The fact most of them will be was given. It wasn’t question if, but how.) And there is no way you could’ve known. Unless you’re writer of the show. I find annoying viewers who fast forward, skip and then bash the series, without even seeing it. 🤷🏻♀️
Anyone upset at the ending has definitely not watched enough kdramas, imo. Kdramas are known for not always having…
Honestly, anyone expecting happy ending was naive. Also, there was happy ending of sorts. I think little brother getting his mum back, little daughter getting healthy and having his daddy back and newborn baby surviving hell pit was happy.
Same thoughts. Though they have more screen time, I don't think they underperformed 'coz why the effort? They…
I had big discussion about them with my son, and he kept saying about the motives, learning about them… but I am very happy they didn’t explore their names, personality, motives etc. I don’t care about them and I don’t want to care. No matter what would have been said, it doesn’t justify the monstrosity of the games.
I think VIP portraying was spot on 🤷🏻♀️ What did anyone expect? People with concise, jumping off to save them all. Meaninful conversation?
THEY SPONSORING the whole thing! They are worst trash of them all. Giving them anything but cartoonish roles would be disgraceful to all the players who died. (I recently finished Gangham B-side and The Big Bet, so I really didn’t expect anything else from those VIP’s 🤷🏻♀️ Entitled rich monsters. Nothing else.)
Junkies, crazy people and killing for fun is hilarious? Ok.
Literally your last sentence: “Namgyu and Minsu were hilarious though.” Namgyu killed people in hide seek game for fun, and both of them with Minsu were crazy junkies.
But none of the individual endings were satisfying though. Gi Hun died without making any difference to the game's…
She had a slim chance, because also the time was running out. And she decided to go her own way. I understand your POV, but after labour under these circumstances, failing to protect her baby… she just gave up. Actor did an amazing job though.
Power. He got taste of it and couldn’t let go. VIP are funding the whole thing, of course he let them do whatever…
The taste of power corrupted him and turned him evil. Just like all those people who were killing for “fun” and/or money knowing very well they could’ve walked away. Honestly the first and last voting crushed me. First because many people had no idea it was life or death games, when they knew, they even didn’t kill anyone themselves, were kind of “fresh mined”, but still pressed the 🔵.
And last, just because they became greedy monsters unwilling to share what would’ve been a ton of money. 😢
Is anyone able to grasp the motivations of the Front Man? He is even willing to kill his brother, just so he can…
Power. He got taste of it and couldn’t let go. VIP are funding the whole thing, of course he let them do whatever they want. Inho became corrupt evil person. Nothing more to it. That’s why he hated Gihun and kept him alive- he wanted to see him become just like him, but it didn’t happen.
Agreed 👍 VIP were representing our society and the top level people. Gihun and Inho were opposites, who were in same situation. Except Gihun never accepted his dark side and tried his best to make a change. meanwhile Inho was at the top, able to make actual change, but he didn’t. I am pretty sure nobody pointed gun at his head and said, you have to be Front Man or else…
Just as Ilnam was curious about him in first season, Inho was waiting for Gihun to take the dark side- and he did, but only to survive or protect.
Well I do think the game was an experience in Korea to export it in USA (I’m maybe wrong but that my theory…
I never do that. I do sometimes irony and sarcasm, when people are illogical. It was so hyped out, that people expectations were too great, you know. Meanwhile there really wasn’t much room to do anything (else). Since second season “cards” were laid out, it was pretty clear. I mean Wi Hajoon’s character was simple the whole time. Would it make sense if he suddenly became genius and saw through the deception and saved everyone? No. Would it made sense if Gihun saved everyone, forgot and lived happily ever after? No. Did everyone expect the game would stop if they destroyed this one. No. It wasn’t about the ending the game. It about Gihun’s journey, him showing Inho how he should have behaved. And about individual characters, which we loved and hated.
For me, the ending was most logical, even though heartbreaking 🤷🏻♀️

I am very happy they stayed true to the concept.
Anything else would be cartoony, just like those VIP.
