Well, evidently you're not ,since one other person seems to feel that way. But I fully disagree. I found the book and the drama to be rich and full of nuance, not overly complicated but with depth and loved every minute of it. Nuance. You know what that is? Evidently not. If you don't like it, Move on, It is well written, well produced, beautifully acted, beautifully choreographed, with lovely music and just, in a thousand ways, a lovely drama, your perceptions? Journey of a Flower was one of my earliest Chinese Dramas, and that caused me to want to watch more. Very well written, fascinating conflicted characters in that one. It got me hooked!!

or go watch "Jade's Fateful Love" where you can see a twelve year old looking ML who acts his heart out but it's useless because when he's in the frame with the lead he looks more like her little brother or some kid she's babysitting. You might like that one.

If you look around he's not the only one supporting Kenny as lead. We're all just shaking our head at you that you're so blindly obsessed with Mofang, who is "Okay" but would have been terrible as "the ancient God". He did good in his role, but for you to continue to bash the lead is just confusing, and calling him fat and old is ridiculous. It shows a bias, and a prejudice that' s totally unfounded. That's why it's more like YOU'RE just blindly supporting Mofang. He's man candy, but as an ancient god, he's got quite a few years to grow up and learn to act better. Get a grip lady.

yes, follow your heart is UBER annoying....and Moon Love IS totally childish, another one, Jades Love something or other has the worst mismatched leads and silly wasted plot which could have been so much better. But when I say they're good to eat ramen too, I mean, you don't miss them if you don't watch them, you watch them only because you just got off work and you've watched Shen Li so many times you can play it in your head, and there is nothing else to watch that's on par with it but you're too tired to surf for something better that you know will NEVER compete with the fun, quality and feel good of Shen Li. That's what I mean by that. lol

Yeah. I was shaking my head over that rating for the Double for a long time. It's was good, but c'mon, not Shen Li good. I still go back to Shen Li but I won't watch the double again. Even if they made the lead male take his shirt off once every other episode...

The new one with Leo "Follow Your Heart" has a rough start but gets progressively better and better. Even to a few lol moments. The characters grow on you, even if you really detest them at the start. Get past the first 12 episodes and it becomes enjoyable. "Moon Love" is interesting, kinda cheesy production-wise but the story moves well ,and the leads try hard. I mean the male isn't "Old" or "Fat" (I'm being facetious here for the Kenny Haters). They're no Shen Li, but you can eat ramen to them.

They are both absolutely perfect for the role, it's like it was written specifically for them . A "God" role. When people complain and whine about them, I can't help but wonder what their bias is based on? Or someone complaining the lead male was too fat, or too old? What is wrong with your eyes. I think your computer screen must be messed up. Or maybe it's just your way of looking at the world. Look at yourself a little clearer, I say, less at others, or just get some better glasses.

Gurrrl - Tru That. If he took his shirt off and watched paint dry we could sell tickets, probably. On the downside, I just want them all to understand they could have had Our Girl Shen Li, had they just been "Better". aka: Mo needed to get some bigger Cajones and ditch the crazy guy. Fu needed to get over himself which he almost does at the end (toooo late) I mean we could watch those two all day, but in the end the best guy -
(Like someone said, "the one who said "Time to eat" and made it oddly satisfying and for me weridly romantic and a bit sexy)
- stuck with and got the girl, and that was the story for me.

It will amaze you, and make you wish every Xianxia was like it. It doesn't have politics, it has a deep, lovely love story, humor that is both very subtle and outright. I guarantee it will be like no other you've watched before. Give it try.

Amazingly the CGI is good enough to make you forget about it! You may even come to love the "Chicken" 😊 Cluck Cluck. I loved it and felt it Totally washed PA from my head, so it was a good watch for me, plus moments thrown in just for us PA fans. Read the posts by "Headinthe Clouds" about PA References in the drama. It was kind of like they said "Hey, we hated those parts too, hope this will make it better".

I TOTALLY agree with that! I watched that and thought "What is it with these C-Dramas that the camera just can't follow the hero for FIVE MINUTES MORE to where he FINALLY goes into his wife's arms."
It's a travesty! Are there really people out there thinking "Gosh, I hope he's really dead!"
RL has plenty of sad, or open endings. They need to add a rating " NHEiAU for No Happy Ending in Any Universe" or TFOE Totally Frustrating Open Ending".
I mean, come on, every thing wrapped up and then they killed the Lead? They should be scared but a 5 minute pat on the head, didn't do it for me. It was a good show, ending it happily shouldn't be stigmatized.
