Amazing that the year will soon be drawing to a close, and still the best drama of 2024, imo, is Shen Li, nothing I've watched has even come close. Some were good, but not as good.

I laughed til I cried at those scenes. She totally became my bestie.

I kind of like that his nose is crooked, sometimes these model perfect guys feel "too perfect" and come off looking like mannequins.

I love this so much, especially the last/fourth one. i thought how deeply happy the god must be after thousands of years of loneliness, and only keeping the dead company - now to just enjoy the simplicity of children laughing and his wife at his side drinking and watching lanterns with them. I don't know who created them but it is a lovely afterthought for Shen Li. Thank you for sharing!

I rarely watch SE Dramas. But this was such a great series from beginning to end. One I looked forward to daily, and haven't done that since TLoSL. Sometimes, endings are sad and I felt this one was reasonable. You'll be warned, but don't let that stop you from a great intrigue filled political masterpiece, with great actors, despotic villains and some witty moments of humor. It is a story told very well. IMO.

Def not "Shen Li" for sure, I admit to skipping over parts because of the cringe factor, as with that episode. (--_--) in MDL One person wrote it was nice to "pretend that the King Qiang Xuan finally, albeit, messily found someone he could love. So I kept that in mind watching and skipping the angsty stuff.

I am, unexpectedly really enjoying "Are You The One - Hidden Charm" but I can't recommend it yet because it has portents of a possible unhappy ending. But the watch to Episode 36 is (* though not completely without some angst ) has some very funny, very sweet moments. Not as good as Shen Li, but, so far, enjoyable in its way. **update** Ends in a very lovely, loving way.

I'd Like to watch this one as a movie in a large cinema with a bunch of like minded fans. I get that we couldn't watch all the episodes, as some have actual lives outside of drama, but still.....and...not sure how they fit that much awesome in a one hour movie - but - I can dream!

The writing in this is witty and clever!
