What happened to the baby that TLC had at the beginning of the drama?
Plot hole in drama, then? I saw in the book, like you noted, that the baby went with them

So, watch 1-15 and 29-36 and skip the middle?

Title The Witch
For those of you who keep insisting that the ML is not a stalker:Stalking is, at its basic level when you follow…
Agree. The webtoon’s author’s original working title was “The Stalker”

Drama would have been much stronger if he and the FL had worked together to determine the rules; would have made the romance much more natural

Title The Witch
In Korean, the term "마녀" ("manyeo") specifically means a "witch", referring to a woman with magical powers.…
Agree that all were innocent.

Mi Jeong: more like Rapunzel in that the ‘curse’ was not due to anything she did (in Rapunzel’s case she suffered because of the actions of her parents)

Salem witch trials: not as simple as what you’ve described , e.g. while mostly women were convicted, some men were as well, and some accused were found innocent. Actually, the trials share a lot in common with pizzagate or other events like that. Wikipedia is fairly decent on the Salem witch trials

The difference with regard to the Salem Witch trials is that the individuals prosecuted were accused of actively harming others by putting curses on them; part of a larger trend around that time in Western world of prosecuting ‘witches’

It's not only in drama. It happens in real world too. I'm guilty of that sometimes. That's why most of the time…
‘Um’ or ‘well…’ or ‘say/ask that again’ are common equivalents to ‘what’ that I’ll hear

Korean mythology/religion experts: why is the Korean word “manyeo” used for two different concepts, i.e a “witch” and a “cursed individual”. It seems very strange for what look like two very different concepts to be expressed by the same word

Review Drifting Away
You could but Zhen Zhen’s scenes are the most tense parts.
Thanks. Intense is okay; the sections that caused people to “lose their lunch” are the ones I’d prefer to avoid

Would judicious fast forwarding in 1-8 to skip the gorier parts and skip last 6 episodes work? I’m interested in Zhao Jinmai’s portrayal of Zhen Zhen more than the overall “case”

Thanks for the well written review.
Question: would it work to stop watching at the end of episode 10 and treat the drama as a slice of life without a resolution?

The ending is clear here and isn’t ambiguous like in TD.
TD=The Double
You have to go to the extra “episode” of TD to get the “real” ending

“his impressive muscles extend all the way up between his ears”😀. Sadly far too accurate! Even the Jin Yong ml’s who weren’t very bright at least had self awareness and self abasement

1. Thanks; I’m currently on 8, but skipping some scenes

2. I understand. Any in Chinese you’d recommend? I’ll try to find translations myself (e.g I know of a translation for the book the drama “snow sword stride” is based on)

2 questions:
1. Stop at 4 or 24?
2. What wuxia novels, with English translation available, would you recommend? Exclude Jin Yong’s as I’m currently reading the last of his that has an available English translation.
