I just feel like this show is being ruined by the romance, it limits Soo Ho so much in what he’s allowed to do and whatnot. This show would be amazing if he was a little bit more ruthless because he’s way too kind right now.
Jang Yoon seems like a very interesting character, is he a sociopath? He's weird as hell but charming at the same time. I love some psycho characters and hopefully he is one, its been a long time since a k drama had one of those.
Best series i've watched in 2019, i'd even dare to say this gets me more excited for the weekends than GOT season 8 ever did and that says something. Song Joong Ki is definitely one of the best actors korea has to offer he's amazing. The other cast are of course doing a very good job aswell! Atleast the hype for this drama was definitely well deserved and it seems it's definitely living up to it so far, can't wait for the next episode!
Fuck yea!! i've been searching for a long time for that twisted male lead ever since king's woman! i've had enough of these male leads from historical dramas being all love sick and not be able to do anything except save the fl or some shit like that. We need more twisted male leads who are so scheming and use people for their own benefit and are not afraid to get their hands dirty because of some woman. Give me some historical without that goddamn romance like the korean drama Six flying dragons (little bit of romance not much though). Best historical drama the world has seen for now.
So let me get this right the FL was his sister in law and had a kid with his brother? Or was he his best friend or something? I don't think i can watch this i feel guilty somehow. Seems so fked up, how could this be the storyline for LJS last drama before military?

I just finished and if you are still wondering about it i'll try to give you my opinion. In all honesty not really, it's actually pretty good and not really that twisted or creepy at all. What kept me watching though was Peter Ho, he's just amazing in his character as Ou Chen. In this drama he managed to get me crying 4 times. He's in all honesty a very pitiful character and he goes through an amazing character development. I'm gonna be honest i didn't like the female lead or Lou xi at all because of what they did to Ou Chen in the beginning but i managed because i wanted to see what happened to him at the end.
I decided to give this show a go and i don't regret it, it's a very good drama that tackles heavy subjects in our society and the acting in this is very good as well. I have to give it to Nishikido Ryo he played sosuke extremely well that i got shivers every time he was on the screen. In my opinion he really did love michiru but i feel like he had Schizophrenia, of course that's no excuse for everything he did but i feel like he needed some serious help. I only wish that we got to see more from his character and i think the writers did fail a little in that department.. All in all a very decent show and i highly recommend it. Just finished ep 4 and oh my. This is so goood!! My heart literally flew out of my chest in the last 2 minutes of episode 4. I've watched alot of japanese shows but this one beats them all. It has everything, top notch acting, cinemanotography is amazing and the music is amazing. I love how this show literally gave people who hated on this even before it started the middle finger :D.
I started watching simply out of curiosity but oh damn! This will definitely become one of those "hiddem gems". This is very good so far and i hope it'll be that way until the end!
p.s. If you come here and read the description don't just think "eewww disgusting" you should give it a try first because trust me, it will surprise the hell out of you.

I might be biased since i've read the novel 2 times but he was honestly disgusting there in my opinion, he used and manipulated people around him making everyone believe he was the "nice" guy but in reality he was a complete trash of a person. Just because he was neglected or wasn't treated good in childhood does not mean he can treat people around him like they are some kind of chess pieces. I do however like him in the tv show, i actually really like him here and it seems like they changed a lot of things concerning his character here which i like a lot. Here he seems to genuinely love his brother and Jin Mi, not like in the novel where it felt like he was just waiting for the right moment to get rid of Xu Feng and to make Jin Mi his.
when does everyone including xu feng and jinmi's dad find out about the unfeeling pill that jinmi's mom fed her?
if i remember correctly after she stabbed Xu Feng he asked if she ever loved him and she answered with "Never" and that she hated him. That's what hurt him the most it wasn't until after he was dead that she spit up the unfeeling pill and she realised what she had done, so he never knew that she had the unfeeling pill until later into the story. I felt so bad for her when i read the novel, she was manipulated into killing the only one she ever loved and so cruelly at that. But since my favourite character was Phoenix i was pretty upset and wanted her to suffer and she definitely did exactly that.
All in all a very decent show and i highly recommend it. ("IF you find it difficult to watch abuse don't watch!")
