I definitely misjudged this season after the first 6 or 7 episodes. The political mindgames in this are top notch and cant be guessed at one bit.

It was solved, they just didnt show it but they spoke about it. Maybe rewatch the conversation between Xiao Heng and A Li and the one between third Uncle and Xue Li again for information.

I think for the sake of her safety and most peoples happiness that only the maid, Xiao Heng and Xue Li's bio family should find out her real identity. For his heartache, I wish that Jaing Li's father could find out the truth after realizing that his wife is the one in the wrong but not sure if thats feasible.

I liked it and the beginning especially was a treasure.

It was solved a bit too easily but Im so happy that she has one good family to depend on.

Im just about 1/3 of the way through but thus far while its not as enjoyable as S01 i love First Prince and the Princess from the other kingdom, and the death of the Censor was a highlight because it really was shocking and adds a more tangible layer to the Emperor s cruelty.

The Censor Lai flogging has affected me the most in this season. The vegetable Jin part was sad before but this is just cruel. I think this is the first time where we really see just how cruel the Emperor is. Before, we have assumed this and seen how cunning he is, but this is just cruel. 😔 😟 🙁 😥 😞 😿 😢 😭

Imo i think its because he has protected her a few times, something which she has lacked for awhile (except for Jiang Li really) and so bit by bit without even realizing it herself she has started to like him and respect him (although not trusting him). Also the attraction has been there awhile.

But that General guy playing the drinking game was mighty attractive too.
