It's sad, and telling that the screenwriters deem it necessary for them to dumb down these characters, in their attempts to make the storyline credible. Phayu knows that Khim's life is in danger, but feels that his younger Master's access to his memories is vital to him. He should have only had Sun, and Balboa show up, at the country estate, in order for those two to help Rain. All the others, especially Pie, and Phet are unnecessary. Ugh!!
Poor Cake and Eiw. During that pairing's moments, there's instrumental BGM that totally reminds me of "The Young and The Restless" soap opera theme song. I'm glad Eiw's older brother, and other friend told Eiw that he needed to focus more on himself, and discover other things that he might enjoy, outside of his friendship with Cake. He will now blossom, and grow into who he might become in the future. I definitely noticed that Tal looks at him, with more than just friendship in his eyes.
I'm curious if Tanaka had a crush on Takara or if he just really admired him as a person...
I'm thinking that it's a combination of slight crush, and total admiration for Takara. Tanaka has always seen his friend, not be flustered by anything, or anyone. No girl could catch his eye, or have him express any sort of interest in her. Now, Tanaka has seen his friend, openly admit that he likes, and is dating Amagi, another boy. Takara is willing to do things for Amagi, without question or reservation. He comes to Amagi's aide, and his stoic friend couldn't keep himself from blushing/smiling over the thought of his boyfriend. It's that serious for Takara, and Tanaka admires him for being open about his feelings.
Seeing Takara slowly letting down his cold facade, is what got Tanaka to see that his friend's feelings for/relationship with Amagi is very serious to him. I also loved that Amagi admitted that they were dating to Tanaka.
I thought this ending was actually really good. I think that even if everyone was pretty conniving they had their…
"Maybe this is not the transcendent superhuman couple that we see in most BL's, but this is your average couple that we find everywhere - their relationship might end in divorce, or they might improve themselves and become that near perfect couple that others can admire. Who's to say? "
Exactly. What I'm enjoying, is that this series is basically blowing up the little fantasy world that many viewers want BLs to be stuck in.
"Did you NOT see him as some fictional character?!" I loved that Yusuke was the one that said that line. The confusion and pain Jun is going through, at this stage of his life is a reality for many gay/bi men, and they see how BL dramas, mangas, etc. are all the rage. Yet, they are raised in a society that constantly says that, they have to be "normal". they "have" to date a girl, they "have" to marry a woman, and they "have" to become fathers, so that they can be a "productive member" of society.
Jun's Mother, hearing him asking her, "Why am I still alive?" is just so heartbreaking. No mother, should ever hear their child, asking them that. I'm glad that Ryohei had Jun's back, and that Miura thought about her behavior, actions, and words more clearly, so that she can actually be a real friend to Jun. So that he's not hiding behind that invisible wall anymore.
I still don't see Pla's or Toon's "side" in this segment of the series. Their manipulations, set-up the situation for Bew to manipulate them all, in his need for revenge, and retribution.
Copy A Bangkok certainly understands how certain fans behave via online and in-person. The diehards still holding out for PS, MG, & BW. Kitty with tears in her eyes!!
Finally someone has the same take as mine at Mol's reaction when she found out the love is mutual between In and…
That's why Wimol loves to live inside of the fantasy world that she creates in her personal life, and in her professional career as a director. Those fantasy worlds, in which the female character, always gets her HEA, with the man that truly loves her, for who she is, not for what she represents.
I think the hard part for the viewer, especially if we're not from Thailand and don't know what it would have…
"The ending had to be what it was, because they each were representative and those factions of society still exist."
Exactly. In acknowledges his "cowardice", but the world/society especially in Thailand isn't based in a BL. Real people are still fighting for their rights to just be able to exist, and that fight is never ending. There are some people, who are exactly like In. There are some people exactly like Wang. There are some people like Wimol.
Full on Gagged at the ending in the car ride๐คฎ Wang should run far away from her.
Exactly. Wang knows that he just has to be a bit more patient, wait out those three more years of college, and then he can go on the journey, to explore his world, outside of his mother's influence/control. Then, Wimol will continue to wonder why Wang never wants to be around her. Sigh. People never really do change.
That's just how I see it.
Next week, we get to see Takara smiling.

A wonderful film.

I hope so to, but from what I'm seeing, I don't think that folks really want to see more LGBTQ+ series out of Thailand.
