Title War of Y
Well I agree with what everyone already said here but I'd like to add that the entertainment industry is like…
I'm going to say it: It is weird, because I can totally understand people being curious about the personal lives of these actors, but we are not "owed" to be informed of everything they do offscreen.

"And one of the screen writers was actually a BL actor who has been and seen a lot of these happenings and even the acting coach and director have seen it in real life when working with actors."

When the characters of P and Dew are shown observing and/or commentating on what's been happening with the storylines for "New Ship" and "War of Managers", I feel like the narrators are telling the audience to seriously not believe that everything is wonderful, and perfect within the fantasy world of BL. That it's an act, a job, and something that needs a bit of perspective. It's fun, exciting, and fabulous to see how this genre has developed since 2013/2014 with "Love Sick: The Series", but look at the current careers of both White and Captain. Weren't those two young male actors the first BL couple that started it all? According to their actor profiles on MDL, Captain (who's only 24 years of age!!) isn't under contract with any Thai production company, since Nadao Bangkok folded in June 2022. He's had one series per year since 2018. While White (who is 27 years old) has been regulated to supporting roles under GMMTV since 2019. They're working, but not at the rate or level of let's say, Krist (I'm not his fangurl!). Who has had between 2 to 4 series (in a main lead role) a year, since 2018.

You speak truth about the managers! But, at least for Thai BL, they're not really wrong, are they?It seems to…
Don't shut up. I've had the very same thoughts about wanting to see older characters in these BLs, so that we can get a different plot, some sort of adult storyline, in a setting, that's outside of the high school/university. Along, with the potential of seeing how these actors continue to age within the Thai BL industry. We are getting these different settings in BLs out of Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. Yet with Thailand, it's either feast or famine.

As for the fan service, I don't think, that part of this industry, will ever go away. I don't think the production companies want it to stop (they don't need to come up with ways to pay these actors a big enough salary for them to live on, during the timeframe of them not having an on-air project). The managers don't want it to stop (extra money for their talent, and themselves). These actors NEED this extra "free" cash, gifts, food etc., so they know that they have to play along in this never-ending cycle. A big portion of the fans don't want it to stop.

I think that there will definitely be more focus on the "fighting in FC rival camps" with the 3rd part of this saga, with the upcoming "Y-Idol".

Lordt. This is some crazy (but sadly true) behavior being shown between Toon & Pla. Their battle goes beyond further establishing the careers of Bew & Gus in the Thai BL industry. These so-called "managers" continue to leech off of "their talent", because they have nothing else to make themselves feel important or special. Toon and Pla continue to stress to Bew and Gus that they are "sellable products" with a rapidly expiring "time shelf" in this industry. That they will be replaced, with the next newest, marketable "doll/smol boy/stud".

I wonder, if this newly based "partnership" between Bew, and Gus will ultimately get themselves truly freed from their leeches, or will it end up with them being destroyed. I'm not talking about the future of their careers. I'm referring to them ever being able to trust anyone ever again.

It's heartbreaking that even after so many years, In can't say out loud words that Siam told him. Those words…
It's still a wound, because of all the guilt that In has kept inside of him, for not being able to accept the love that Siam had for him back then. How In kept saying that he was a "coward", reveals that he hasn't forgiven himself for what happened.

Yes, because In needed to believe that what he felt for Siam, at that time was just "brotherly love". How he talked about wanting Siam to have a "wonderful career, and happy marriage", felt like he knew that he had to keep his distance from him, and Wimol, so that he could cope with the situation. He couldn't imagine that Siam felt the same way about him. There was also no way that In could allow himself to accept those feelings, because he couldn't let himself intentionally cause chaos for Siam, and Wimol.
Wimol's acceptance speech was one of the most outrageous, biting, and honest things to see. Her clear resentment of her fellow industry peers. How she thinks of her fans, and their "sad little lives"!! Yes, Wimol IS bothersome, annoying, needy, and selfish. She's also desperately lonely. The same way that In, and her son Wang feel about their lives. Wang's the one, who's not willing to let himself stay in that situation. Wang's persistence in getting In to acknowledge, and accept the love that he had for Siam wasn't something that needed to be hidden from the world. That he didn't need to be hidden is wonderful to see. The whole entire conversation about chopsticks. In seeing how "different" they are, while Wang seeing that those same chopsticks, when paired work "perfectly together". The morning after, In reaching out towards Wang.

This is brilliance, and I am excited for the next two episodes. Pam, Nike, and Pond are wonderful in their roles. Sigh!!

Title Fahlanruk
At least Sherbet isn't written as the wide-eyed innocent guy, who is overwhelmed by his need to be tamed by Fahlan. He knows exactly the type of guy Fahlan is, so Sherbet's establishing his boundaries for his interactions with him. Fahlan doesn't like that Sherbet wasn't acting desperate and needy for him. I'm also glad that Ping (or was it Tap) asked him, if he's truly interested in Sherbet or if he just wants to "win".

Is the brown liquor of choice in this Thai BLs, whiskey or scotch? It's always brown liquor, or those non-alcoholic electric colored drinks. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐Ÿ˜„

Itโ€™s because Tohโ€™s character is more of a nerd and doesnโ€™t act like some macho hunk. Any shady behavior…
"Any shady behavior goes as long as you have a six pack lol"

Yup. From what I have seen, it's not acceptable to be a slightly or "over the top" femme guy, comprehending that a pairing can be sexually versatile, and that the most important thing to know about these characters is "who's the top/bottom".

Agreed. I know that some people want to say that these things happen in all entertainment industries, but what's required in the BL genre is very specific. These performers are told that they have to be "on" 24 hours, and 7 days of the week, in public, and private regarding their onscreen pairing. Under the direction, that the audience for BLs "wouldn't be able to believe in them as an onscreen couple", if they donโ€™t do any of the fan service, or god forbid, be seen offscreen with someone else, who isn't their onscreen partner.

"I don't know quite what to make of the "Take your medicine scene". I mean I don't know what the intent of the author was there.
(Again, I'm no expert on this subject)"

I think that scene was supposed to be "playful", especially with the Thai BL twinkly music in the background. It wasn't supposed to be thought of as "cautionary". It was "fun, playful, and the Seme being in total control".

It reads to me the same way a lot of Japanese Yaoi does, which is often uncomfortable, and a lot of the times…
Well, the Japanese Yaoi that gets a TV adaption, must not be the ones that are truly "uncomfortable". Especially the ones that have been released after "Cherry Magic". Even "My Beautiful Man" was received favorably by Japan and International viewers.
