This drama definitely has a bit of a slow start but that's necessary to set everything up and WOW it really gets…
I've seen other people speculating on this but I definitely agree that he is secretly fulfilling his brother's last wish. He absolutely loved his brother and vowed to stay loyal to him but it also wouldn't have been safe for his young nephew to take the throne as a puppet king with Myung Ha's father manipulating him. So he's become king and is making sure his nephew is safely raised under his protection until he is old enough and strong enough to reign himself. He also wants to weed out who poisoned the late king so he's playing a long game with the court and his mother and uncle. I do absolutely feel sorry for the FL for how she feels betrayed and the loss of her friend but what is her end goal here? She wants to make him feel the same betrayal (fair enough) and dispose of him? Then what? Have the child take the throne before he's ready? I feel like she's going to go through with her vague plan (whatever it is) and realise too late that she was wrong about him and will have screwed things up. Idk. I do feel like he is guilt-ridden by her supposed death. He doesn't seem altogether there and mentioned how the unnecessary loss of a friend could cause someone to go mad. I think he did try to help her in the past either by minimizing her sentence (3 years is pretty reasonable for treason) or by planning to save her at the border. Then he heard she had died and he's obviously been haunted by it since. I love how obsessed he is with her again now that she's back even though he obviously can tell she is here for revenge. He doesn't seem to care. I do wonder if he knows she's a girl. He seems incredibly attached to her and jealous of her interactions with Myung Ha and considering how intelligent he is, it would be odd if he hadn't figured it out. Anyway, I'm loving this!
This drama definitely has a bit of a slow start but that's necessary to set everything up and WOW it really gets you hooked once things really get going! Jo Jung Suk is absolutely eating this role up, holy hell! In basically every scene from the dramatic ending of episode 3, I find myself so mesmerized watching him and how he emotes. I really hope he wins some awards for this because WOW! I'll put the rest of my thoughts in spoiler-market comments.
I'm loving this so far! I mainly watched for Park Shin Hye and Park Hyun Shik (watch a stellar pairing omg) and they're doing a great job so far but the story looks like it will be very sweet so I can't wait to see more.
Really loved this drama! I thought the resolution in episode 16 (regarding what happened at the end of ep15) happened a little too fast but other than that, it was a great drama!
The first few episodes are really cute and good but I ended up dropping it at episode 8 because it became boring to me. I feel like this is one of those dramas where all the fun is before the couple gets together and then when they finally do, it's like.....meh.
They didn't bury the box, so I think box and books are with SY. Shaman kept saying it will be bad if it's not…
Ohhhh I forgot about that! Good point! The whole issue of whether the spells work or not if so vague. It seems like story wise they do or at least they with conditions like the disease spell only works if the box is with it's owner and the love spell only affects you if you already had feelings in the first place.
I loved seeing Hong Jo stand up for herself in this episode against both Na Yeon and Sin Yu. That was great to see as I hate the passive heroine trope so much. Next week looks intense! I can't wait to see those scenes in the past! And why is Sin Yu hospitalized? Is it because of his illness or was he attacked by the stalker? And Hong Jo seemed really shaken up when the SFL was giving her the sleeping pills, was she attacked too?
What's the chance of SML being the stalker who was taking these pics?
But I think they basically confirmed it wasn't him? When Sin Yu asked where he was, he said he was on a 3 day business trip with the mayor. So at the very least he couldn't have been the person who hung the doll. Unless he lied but that would be very easy to verify.
Okay, after watching episode 7, Does no one think Jae Kyung's attitude is somehow controlling? First, he interferes…
Yes, you're absolutely right. The phone thing especially bothered me sooooo much. Like if he saw Shin Yu's name and wanted to be petty that still wouldn't be good but I'd get it but it said "Groot". He had no way of knowing who that was and it's ridiculous that he answered the phone. I've never answered someone else's phone if they're not in the room. The most I might do is look at the screen so I can tell them "X called you while you were in the bathroom" or something.
Anyone else wondering what happened to Red hand? that was quite interesting but it hasnt appeared since ep two.…
I think it's definitely related to Hong Jo that is keeping it away. When they were in the car home from the beach, she put her hands on him and it looked very similar. Plus the last time we saw the red hand was the same night she did her first spell from the book (thus officially becoming its owner?) I think there's more to the spells that we don't know yet and Hong Jo's connection to the box etc
I actually think Deuk Chan killed her. He's acting so suspicious lately but he also trusts Do Ha (as verified…
Maybe? But he also seemed to be encouraging him to live his life normally? I dunno because right now he definitely seems like the most suspicious but I don't know what his motive for killing Eom Ji would be?
