With the exception of the 4 main characters, who made a Netflix teaser video together last year, nothing new has been post from official/reliable source lately. No announcement of filming start, nor have there been any of the supporting cast mentioned about returning. Knowing the strong bonds among the remaining students at the end of season 1, it should be understood without saying that they will have to be back.
Folks, This is Majkang! So we all know and have been given the head-up of the twist and turns and even the absurdity…
Ep. 19 "Red Balloon" achieved its highest viewership ratings yet ahead of its series finale. According to Nielsen Korea, the penultimate episode of “Red Balloon” scored an average nationwide rating of 10.2 percent, setting a new personal record for the show.
I expect the Finale will go a bit higher than that even. Congratulations to everyone associated with the show. I am totally with you about the acting. This drama wouldn't have been a success in Korea without the top notch acting. And they are the reasons why we either love or hate those characters from beginning to end.
Has this been a good drama? I am planning to binge after only watching 1 episode.
It's 20 episdoes long with a lot of emotional ups and downs. I couldn't imagine I binge watch this show, even if I had the time. :) I call this show polarized. You would either hate it or love it.
With that level of cute visual and acting talent... this is her first main role??? Unbelievable. She's really…
She played a step mom in Hi, Bye Mama. I am pleasantly surprised that she landed a lead role of a younger age character. It's quote challenging to play different roles. Not only one has to do well but also needs to get the audience buy in.
1. This is Go Bo Gyeol's first time as First FL. She was listed as main role in "Hi, Bye Mama" as 2nd FL. I hope she a big success from this one. I love this drama so far, a very good start. 2. Since it's a 12-episode series, I expect the storyline will move relatively quickly. I like that for this type of Romcom.
All the build up of pressure in the balloon and it finally popped! Hat off to the writer for the set up for that one scene in the nice restaurant. 👍 Hong Soo Hyun's top notch performance is undeniable.
Actor Seol Jung Hwan(EK’s ex BF) also posted script for the last Episode 20 with the caption “Desire, Regret,…
"Forgiveness and Understanding"? Maybe for some characters in the show, but definitely, over a million years, not possible for EK's ex BF. LOL I can expect every character would have been through the steps of "Desire, Regret, Reflection, Understanding"... Maybe some of them get the forgiveness? and Who? It was a struggle for me not to drop this show but I have been staying with thus far. I see what the writer try to show to us. It's not a typical easy watching series. However, the great acting has carried the show all the way and ratings is the proof.
I hope Viki and Netflix will pick up Season 2 eventually. This series is a hidden gem, compared to other "main stream" Kdramas filled up the networks these days.
The screenwriter emphasizes and show us that each character has fault (big ones) but as the same time, it's somewhat balanced with other things, such as their lifelong suffering and upbringings. I still don't like some of the characters. However, one single character, by far, is the trash of all in this show - Kwon Tae Gi [Eun Kang's boyfriend]. He will not at any sympathy from me and when he shows up, he is up for no good.
Was a nice drama not perfect but nice. With good cast
Agree - a nice drama, but not a great drama. The average 8.4-8.5 ratings is fair. There were moments (and scenes) that I don't care much and yet I managed to watch through the 12 episodes. I am glad that they didn't make it 16 episodes.
One of the Best Scenes of Episode 10(watch with caution)Apparently, this scene got the highest rating per minute…
My vote for the best scene goes to Nam Cheol when he told Eun San the story of him going to see his mom and how much he wanted to have a taste of the dumplings. Lee Sung Jae's voice and expression was so very touching.
