They just gave us a friendly reminder that we are watching a kdrama after all. :)
I didn't see that coming either but as soon as it happened, I was at shock first, followed by a big laugh. That's why I think it worked well. We used to joke about the typical scenarios the writers in Kdramas use. That's one of the many.
Sang-eun, whose face is known to the public through an article, worries that Ji-ho will be harmed by this. Ji-ho…
Next Wednesday cannot come fast enough. So far I have skipping quite a bit for each episode since I only care about the main couple. I probably will go back and rewatch once I finish ep. 16 (maybe).
Just finished ep. 5. Just like somw other who have posted eqrlier, I can't wait for ep. 6. The writing is great. So far each episode has perfect pacing and each ends at a point one wants to have more and at the same time, we kind of know what we want to see next, expect what to see next but yet not sure whether that will be shown to us and how the sotry will end up. It's a mich better than avwrage kdrama. And i am enjoying it so far.
My Lord, I couldn't stop laughing at the dinner scene between Sang-eun, Ji-ho and his boss and adorable wife.…
I dodnt notice if they wore their wedding rings at dinner. It would feel odd but i guess if the question did come up at the dinner table they would have said it was because JH wants to hide their marriage, which fit the story anyway.
It's been a long time since I watch a slice-of-life drama. I like this very much! It doesn't gives me strong emotions,…
Sometimes that's what life needs to have. I know this type of drama doesn't usually becoming big hit and some networks would stay away from it because they don't bring in the top rating. However, as fans, I think they are the medicine to help balance our chaotic life and the reminders to us that not all shows need to be big hit, big budget, multi-seasons, etc.
Is it only me who feels disgusted watching Won Ji an and seokJin’s “date” after what they have done ?
This drama is about healing and redemption. I expect we will see that in all but one character - the gangster boss. Ji an and SeokJin are characters I don't like. However, as more of they background is revealed, it's apparent that the four grew up together at the orphanage and were very close so that's possible. I agree that making supporting characters have their behaviors can sometimes be challenging as they don't have the screen time for character development and those changes could be hard to accept.
i love their screentime together, the dough-kneading scene with the cheesy music had me dying 😂
Too bad she doesn't own a pottery store. A scene similar to that one in "Ghost" between Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze (and with that music) would be to die for.
Confession - After their success in "Bossam: Steal the Fate", I had high anticipation when the show was announced. I couldn't get through ep. 1 and eventually dropped it. It was 2 weeks later after I finished other shows (WYW, etc.) I came back to give it a second chance and this time I started to like it. I know they have changed the director in the middle of filming. And the hidden reasons for my initial reaction could be related to the director. I found the acting in some of scenes acting rough - the switch between shots was sudden, the placement, and shooting angles reminded me Kdramas in the early 2000s, etc. It's hard to like a show when all other kdrama have a high level of production these days. Once I got over that, I found the story and the characters are likable and put less focus on the production itself. Still, I hope they will get better in the upcoming episodes.
Seriously, it's becoming one of the main reasons I look forward to the new episodes. When we mention the most memorable 2nd couple in kdramas, there are quite a few (descendants of the sun, crash landing on you, are on the top. This is not yet close to those two (yet). However, they are funny, and you know the writer will show something new about them every time. I can't wait.
How to edit the page ? She didn't act on Inspector Koo
Are you sure? It said she appeared in ep. 3 as the bubble event organizer. I saw a girl looks like her and sounded like her but she only a brief appearance and spoke one comment.
I loved her in My Country: The New Age, Hopefully she gets more lead roles soon 😃
I had the urge to watch the ep1 of My Country today. I then saw the little sister of the ML who looked extremely familiar. Of course i found out later on thats her. AOUAD made her a household name but she has been doing some great parts before that. Cant wait to see season 2.
I dropped it first, and didnt watch for a month. After other shows i was watching at the time finished and before…
The sidekick, ML and FL are in the same age group. But the actual age of the actress plays her sister is 22. It's nothing wrong an older male to date a younger girl. However, they tried to portrait her as a genius and yet she became so naive later on. The act of the sidekick is consistently inmature and silly. I dont find him cute or lovable
I enjoyed it at first and now I'm at ep 11... I feel like like dropping it. It's so boring... Why did they make…
I dropped it first, and didnt watch for a month. After other shows i was watching at the time finished and before start something else i went back and watched it. This time i think its Okay but i also understand it better why i dropped it before. The show has all the elements - romance, funny acting, suspense and an unexpected mystery. However, i dont like the way these elements were combined. I can't stand the sidekick of the ML. Why does a sidekick has to be silly ? Many of the made to be funny moments are annoying. Maybe its jsut me, but i think they would be a lot more successful had they focus on the mystery and crime solving part and put those silly moments ans stereotyping, incompetent characters to a minimum.
